2000 characters isn't enough to describe my experience here at EM! It was simply not simple at all. I'd say just go see for yourself. It's definitely worth it...

Our server, Michael, was outstanding. We are fortunate to be able to dine at many of the upscale restaurants in Columbus and Eddies is our favorite.

The service was impeccable. Our glasses of water never got less than 2/3 full! The food was delicious and it's the first time on a long time I didnt feel rushed through a meal. My only caveat was that it was VERY pricey.

Excellent choices on the prix fixe menu. My dining companion ordered off of it. The grilled romaine first course was very good and he shared it with me. We might go back to try something else from that menu, a nice value. His steak was great. My salmon entree with potatoes and veggies was very satisfying. Dessert came with his, and I got a huge slice of delicious carrot cake, most of which had to come home.

Way over priced. Ribeye and New York Strip steaks were okay but definitely not worth the $50 price. Mashed potatoes were like instant potatoes from a box but we’re an additional $8. Crab cake appetizer was pretty good but was small for $18. Dinner for four was over $300. I have had better food at restaurants costing 1/3 as much. I really felt ripped off.

Mother's Day Brunch was delicious and the service was wonderful. Never had to wait for anything. A bit pricey but everything was top notch.

We went for Mothers Day brunch and were extremely happy. We have been here before and will continue to come back. If we could, we would make our reservation for next year right now. The food was fantastic. There were an amazing number of options of top quality food all perfectly prepared. The service was excellent. We highly recommend eating at Eddie Merlot's.

We were pleased that the chocolate covered strawberries were plentiful this time as last Mother’s Day they ran out. While the staff is very attentive, the food was good and the surroundings are lovely, it’s not worth the high price of $60 per person.for this event. The King Crab legs were very thin and short as well as extremely salty. For this price point, I would expect a better quality and size. The lamb chops were inconsist... some were excellent and the very large ones tasted more like beef. The filet was excellent. The Banana’s Foster was served over melted vanilla ice cream. It was very good, however, it would have been perfect with a nice hard scoop of ice cream beneath. Overall nice, but I would not be willing to pay more than $48.50/person for this level of buffet.

We save up our eating out so that we can go to Eddies and have a grand night of excellent food, atmosphere and being treated like we are the only two in the restaurant. Never rushed through our meals and always engaged in conversation with whoever comes to help at our table. My Husband called it a well oiled machine! Everyone helps each other. We do enjoy it all

Beautiful restaurant, but the chairs are too low. Makes you feel like you’re sitting in a hole. Service was as expected in a higher end steakhouse. Steak was good, but not great unfortunately and the creamed corn was more like a soup with very little corn and it had a sour taste. Worst creamed corn we’ve ever had, and we were actually surprised they even served it.

I've been fortunate enough to frequently dine in all of Columbus' higher-end steakhouses. Overall, our service at Eddie Merlot was great but sadly the food quality fell very very short. As you know, there's no shortage of high-end steakhouses in Columbus and at this price point, you'd expect the steaks and simple sides to be cooked properly - My bone in bison came out lukewarm, and my colleagues steak was overcooked (he ordered Pittsburgh blue and it came out medium rare at best). Both the Brussels sprouts and broccoli we're pale in color, over-cooked and also came out lukewarm in temperature. Not too mention, my Bearnaise sauce was also border-line cold. Was really hoping for a better food experience.

Two of us ordered the 1 1/2 lb crab legs and they were salty and seemed mostly tasteless. It seems that the quality was extremely poor

This was our second time celebrating a special occasion with our OSU student when we were in town. Everything was beyond excellent except for our server. He left us sitting many times. So much so that another waiter. And by to ask if we had been waited on. We then had waiter envy as we saw how he engaged his diners. Our waiter was curt to his support staff, which is a very big no-no in our book. We ended up with a higher priced glass of wine than we would normally have ordered because of his hard sell - he failed to tell us cost just that it was going fast. He didn’t tell us any of the specials as we heard being given to the tables next to us after we ordered. It was not what we had expected based on our initial visit. We would still absolutely go there again (just request a different server). It is easily one of the top places we have eaten. Perfect for special occasions. Food and most all other staff around is (or so it appeared) are excellent.

Excellent food, excellent service. Only reason i have a 4/5 for value is because you don’t go here to save money on your meal. You come here for an experience, which Eddie Merlot’s delivers. Steaks were wonderful. Highly recommend the scalloped potatoes too.

I always recommend Eddie's to everyone but no compliments to the chef on 5/4/19...the food was so dry, and bland. It made us so sad! We were counting down because it was our yearly traditional Eddie's wedding anniversary meal. The manager that night and our server asked if we liked it and we lied...we figured the way it tasted sending all of that back would be pointless. But...the ambiance and service are second to none! We'll be back but not rushing back unfortunately!!

My expectations were crushed. Seeing all the solid reviews I figured this was a no miss to celebrate my wife's birthday but they struck out in a lot of ways. Let's start from the beginning reservations at 5 showed up at 4:35 restaurant was empty but was not seated till promptly 5 ok I give you that we did ask for 5 but was excited. Now lets move to dress code it says buiesness casual it was a special occasion so I broke out the suit and tie and hyped up the restaurant so my wife wore a nice dress. Then in rolled the spandex,shorts and tee shirt crew with some of the loudest most obnoxious people ive ever been around. Drinks and appetizers my drink was straight alcohol if you like them stiff you have come to the right place . The bread was tough and chewy the filet mignon pot stickers where over cooked and tough sauce was good the barbecue bacon wrapped shrimp was tough and chewy. Wanted to really treat my wife got her the 7oz wagyu steak for $89 ive had wagyu and cooked it I dont believe they gave her wagyu you would gave to try hard to make that cut chewy and I tasted it was a little chewy. I went with the king crab legs defiantly overcooked me and thoese legs had a tussle. Now the sides mashed potatoes ok nothing to write home about could use more butter or cream. The macaroni and cheese was not very good tasteless and not very warm. The creamed corn was inedible at best sorry but true. We didnt complain or throw a fit paid our $242 doller bill with $40 doller tip and left. I was told over and over how much you pride yourself on your quality and taste. I was unimpressed to say the least.

We forget about this place since it located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, but this is not just a steakhouse for corporate accounts like that one in the green building at Easton. The quality of the steak is exceptional and the service was outstanding as our meal was well-paced and all our needs were met without frequent interruptions. The decor could use an update (it looks very '90s), but this is one of the best steakhouses in Columbus.

CJ was our waiter but we later learned he made a judgement call about us & our meal, which we learned toward the end of our meal, was wrong & not in his place to make anyway!
Our first visit to this restaurant was for my husband’s birthday last Thursday. CJ was a little pushy on what drinks & appetizers we wanted when we hadn’t ever seen the menus before. There was a lot to review and had to remind him we’d never been there before. Decided on one appetizer & wine flight. Eventually our steaks came.
The dining room was slowly adding more customers with group of four women at a table by our booth. Shortly after their drinks, came a paddle board with bread & butter. OH, this restaurant had bread & butter? Why weren’t we given it? Next time CJ came by I asked him why we didn’t get any? He first claimed it was a “timing issue” between the salad & getting our steaks, then continued to say how I didn’t want much. If it was timing - that’s on him! The bread could have been brought with the wine or appetizer.
Back when looking at the menu, CJ pushed the Chef Favorite which was the entree + salad. Since my husband ordered an appetizer & salad with his steak, I said no, I didn’t want that much (as we often share). I never said no bread because we were NEVER made aware that was an option. It is his responsibility to ask if we want it, not make a judgment call for us that we shouldn’t get any. After his lame explanation, he asked if we wanted bread now- toward the end of our meal, we said no.
CJ lessened our first experience with his poor judgment & wrong call on our behalf. Just make the offer & let the Customer pick. It’s NOT your call as our waiter whether we get it or not. CJ was still left a good tip, but I’m sorry I didn’t mentioned it to the the Manager about his poor judgment. Hope he doesn’t diminish anyone else’s FIRST visit!

We've not done Easter Brunch at E.M. however, it was great! Food was plentiful and well worth the price.
Great service as always and the set-up worked pretty well. (both sides access was good and the server taking a suggestion on a condiment was welcomed also.
We like everything about Eddie Merlot's at the restaurant, we think you will also.

Our reservation was at 2:15 on Easter Sunday however, we were not seated until 2:35. The buffet was good however the mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese were very dry. The banana fosters line was very long. Our waiters were efficient. The main complaint we have is that halfway through our meal we were told the buffet would be closing down starting at 3:15. We were not aware of the buffet time when we made the reservation. After being seated 20 minutes past our reservation time, we feel we did not get enough time to enjoy our time there.
