Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - Cincinnati
We always have a wonderful time at Eddie Merlot's. Our server was superb. The food was magnificent. We were so happy that we were able to celebrate the 5th year anniversary of our daughter and her husband before they closed down for the crisis. when they reopen we will be right back.
Service was amazing!
Holly took very good care of us and the food was delicious. It was my husband’s birthday, and there was a card waiting on the table, and he received a celebratory dessert (creme brûlée). Very nice dining experience. The cocktails were especially good!
A couple of minor disappointments: wish the maitre d’ had offered to take our coats. (It was raining). The valet could have held the door to the restaurant open for us (he was coming out).
My first time at an Eddie Merlot's restaurant but will not be my last. The service was impeccable and the food was exquisite and plentiful. Highly recommend it, at least the one in Cincinnati on Montgomery Rd.
Went here on a date. The service was great. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything that we wanted. The food was excellent. We had the Calamari for our appetizer, it was served with lemon vinaigrette that gave it a good taste. I had the Wagyu filet mignon, it was prepared perfectly. My date had the roasted salmon, it was prepared well and had good flavor. Will definitely return.
The service was slow. We had to tell the waitress that we were ready to order. And it took about 40 minutes before our food arrived. Everything else was great.
Celebrating 15th work anniversary
Great service and a great time with family! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that has a flair for fine dining!
Crab legs weren't great but everything else was amazing.
Went for the king crab legs special. Food was clearly prepared in advance. Shell was soft, negatively affected quality and flavor of crab legs. Quality wasn't commensurate with price.
Always excellent food great atmosphere
We loved our entire experience which included the meal and service. I don't remember our server's name but he was the perfect person for us and his recommendations were spot on. We all had either steaks or seafood and split orders of creamed spinach and cauliflower, and huge salads. They made it very special for my daughter's birthday celebration.
GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE. LOVE THE BURGERS, AND THE BAR MENU! ALWAYS ENJOY THE BAR CROWD, ITS FUN AND A NICE PLACE TO WATCH SPORTING EVENTS ON THEIR TV’S.
I didn't feel like the salad was anything special. I only had a few tomatoes, no cucumbers and 3 slices of onion. The bread however, was outstanding. Our drinks were very good and although my food tasted amazing, it was only lukewarm and that was a disappointment. I didn't make a fuss about this as, this type of thing upsets my mother and I didn't want to upset her on her birthday.
My family from Michigan came to town.
Quiet place for dinner and drinks..good selection, excellent service
Aaron was the server. He was exceptional.
The steaks were perfect.
Rack of lamb showed on the website menu, but it was discontinued some time ago. That might have altered our choice of restaurant had we known.
Filet was dry and overcooked. Seemed as if dish had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Waiter failed to check in with us after food was delivered to table and never once asked us how the meal was...just came back to offer dessert menus. Disappointing experience for my wife's birthday.
Mark our server is amazing!! We request him every time we go!
Great time and food with friends.
Out to dinner with my husband. We sat at a high top in the bar area. The food was delicious and our service with Erick was outstanding. We will be back again soon.
Maranda was excellent. Very helpful. Very pleasant.
Excellent food and service!
Eddie's is one of our regular restaurants. Most recently, went this past Friday (March 6th). All you can eat King Crab is back!!! I look forward to this time of year for many reasons but Eddie's king crab deal is way up on the list. When many fine restaurant's charge $40 or $50 for less than 2 pounds of king crab, $59.95 for all you can eat is just plain amazing. Even if you add a side or two, the price is still great. In addition, the quality is superb, service, as always, is perfect (ask for Holly or Adam) and the rest of the menu is outstanding. Looking forward to a couple more times this year (they do this every Friday in Lent) and then have to wait until next year. Enjoy.
Came for the all-you-can eat crab. Server Kylie was terrific, and we feel bad that we left her table a mess of drawn butter and crab debris like a couple of leopard seals had come in for a beachside dinner.
Had a very good dinner. The salmon is absolutely wonderful and the Eddie Merlot's Chardonnay was very good.
Not real crowded for a Thursday evening, but our service was excellent. Overall a very nice evening.
Great steaks, potato croquettes were really good. Manhattan and Lemondrop cocktails were terrific. Waldorf salad was ok. My guest liked it, I will order something else next time.
Superb service. Our server gave us a complimentary creme brûlée out of the blue.
Ambiance is a bit lacking. Pretty stark interior. However, we were seated in the very back room near the fireplace which was very nice.
Excellent food and decor, lots of choices and has free valet parking
We always enjoy dinner at Eddie Merlot! My wife loves the sea bass.
Food was amazing!!
Fantastic Fantabulous worth you Dining pleasure ++++++
Outstanding venue for our 50th Anniversary. Food, service and ambience were all great.
The only thing I would like to say was the salad, Caesar that I split with my DIL was wilted. Not very fresh, neither of us finished it. Everything else was great, service, other food items.
Thank you Miranda and your sister who was our waitress for making my birthday special. I appreciate your awesome service and outstanding attention to detail.
Excellent meal for a birthday celebration. Plentiful selections accommodated GF, fish, meat lover and healthy vegetables.
Wait time for food to come out between appetizer and entree was a little prolonged, server wasn’t overly attentive in a timely manner, one guest’s meat temp wasn’t cooked as requested. Requested a rare as possible steak, even blue if chef would do it, and came to the table as a heavy medium rare.
They need to rethink the kids menu, my son ordered cheeseburger sliders and they were burnt to a crisp. I ordered a medium filet and it came out rare. My lobster tail was chewy, disappointing. Server was nice but everything was pretty slow even for a nice restaurant. Been there a dozen times and this was definitely the worst. Sorry, EM, you could have done way better.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! We typically have a fabulous home and the service is typically always wonderful. Occasionally we will get a server that is less friendly, but because we enjoy this place so much we know the next time it will be great!
Jamie’s was our server and he was great. The food was excellent and the only downfall was that we wanted to try the BBQ Shrimp appetizer and they were out of it. We sat at a high top table and although busy, not crowded and not noisy.
My husband tried the Wagyu Steak and I had a Filet Mignon and both were fork tender. No steak knives needed.
We will go back for sure!
