Outstanding staff - very attentive and professional. And menu/ food quality also outstanding.
We had a lovely evening as we always do at Eddie's! The staff is wonderful and make us feel welcome! Carisis was our server and was very attentive to our low sodium diet needs. We had the bison filet and the artic char and they were excellent!
The restaurant is so beautiful! It is one of the nicest looking restaurant I have ever seen. Besides the decor, the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. I would definitely come back again.

The food and service were very good. I liked everything but the noise level in the restaurant. The noise is so very loud that I cannot hear my table mates discussion.

Great food, Bobby was friendly yet professional as our server.
I found the portions very small for the amount being charged. The $105 Bone in Rib Eye of 32 oz was more of a 20 oz bone and 10 oz steak. The side dishes for the price were also extremely cheap in portion. Service was good. Good restaurant but price is getting overboard. I usually go here 3 to 4 times a year but their is a lot of competition out there now for better price / Value
We were delighted to be able to enjoy the Surf & Turf special. . .served on Sunday and Monday's in March. Great value for the dollar and soooo delicious! Also, glad the half price special for bottles of wine is back this Spring. Looking forward to returning to enjoy the Lenten Dinner offerings.
As always the service was superb.
Leo was our server and he was an excellent server. We had the plank salmon and it was delicious. We always enjoy our evening at Eddie Merlot's.

My family of six visited the Burr Ridge location on 3/2/18 with an 8pm seating.
First time impression...I thought I was in a banquet hall. The pics on their website are generic and are not representative of the Burr Ridge location however the beautiful Murano glass fixtures & comfy fireside lounge chairs somehow conflicted with everything else in the place.
Something just seemed off.
Seating and fireplaces seemed cozy if you were lucky enough to be placed in those dining areas which we weren't.
Our table of six was situated in a side back room in a corner which was cheesy & dank. There was an air freshener plugged into the outlet which wreaked and we un-plugged. Also in the back room was a family of 30...with at least 8 (whiny/ crying) kids under the age of 5 at 9 pm at night.
Initially the service was slow but when our server Ana caught her breath, she was alert and kind.
Our bill for 6 adults which included 2 bottles of wine ($80 & $64) and 4 cocktails ($7, $9, $11, $14 was ~$800.
I've eaten at all the great steak houses in Chicago and across the country and just expected more from the other reviews posted; plus I also wanted to try somewhere else new and impress my family.
I just didn't think this place stood out at all amongst their competitors especially for the price. To me it's all about the perceived value and they all try to have their own twist of special service. Eddie Merlots is competing with Smith & Wollenski's, Gibsons, Mortons, Capital Grill, Chicago Chop, Mastro's, Gene & Georgettis, Bavette's, Prime & Provisions, Benney's etc; all try to deliver exceptional service and quality but at the end of the day, I will vouch for several other local independent steak houses where the meals are just as good if not better and the actual value is the best...hands down.
Sorry I won't return on my hard earned dime...
Six of us came to celebrate a birthday. We have been here many times before but were disappointed by 2 things. We ordered 2 sides of mashed potatoes: one was fluffy and the other was one cold lump. Not sure how that can happen? Also we had to remind our waitress, who seemed very rushed, that we were there for my son in law’s birthday. It was noted in the reservation. Overall a bit disappointing.
Great ambiance; fantastic service; and an excellent filet mignon, perfectly seasoned! Delicious wedge salad, also. Only one I wouldn't recommend is the tater tots - disappointed in flavor (lack thereof), amount (only 5), and deeply fried. Go for the steak - you will love it!
Great Lunch Will be back. Want to try Steak Diane Nice and quiet. Great Atmosphere.
Jerry was our server and did an excellent job!! He explained the new fish specials to us very well! We had the artic char and the perch special (not the fish and chips)
Customer service was outstanding. Food was exceptional. Prices were high, but we had a gift certificate so we were able to splurge. The waiter Jeffrey was awesome, and the manager checked on us a few times. I would highly recommend this place.
Brooke was our server and she was great! We both had the special fish dishes for Valentine's Day and they were very good!

Absolutely amazing menu and wine list but very overpriced. Delicious food and service and beautiful decor.
The steak was cooked to perfection. Our server Paul was amazing. Overall the food the service the ambience everything was spectacular. We had a very nice time and will definitely be going back. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful aged steak, perfectly cooked, tasty sides and smooth, rich ice cream for dessert. Extensive wine list and wine smart waiter. What more could one want?

We really enjoy Eddies. The managers and staff are always very nice. We never had a bad meal, and they change specials up, very nicely. Keep up the good work. We will be back soon.
It is a great restaurant for a special occasion. In our case February 14 is our anniversary.
Haley was our server for our Valentine's dinner and everything was great, as always! One of us had the Artic Char with shrimp and the other had the New England salmon. Both were excellent!
The sweet & spicy shrimp is amazing. The restaurant is always world class with the best staff and food. It's our favorite to spend special occasions.
Never disappointed at Eddie Merlot's - just as good as any downtown Chicago steakhouse - and a lot easier to get to and enjoy. Food and service are consistent and outstanding. Our server, Ray, was friendly, prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable. Food is prepared to perfection. We tried the filet and NY strip combo for two and it was FABULOUS! We'll get that again!
Anniversary/Valentine’s Day celebration.
Loved the Chateaubriand ~super! The portions have really gone down over the years in terms of sides and amount of meat. Otherwise, very good! Great ambience and love the wine. Sad the Eddie Merlot Cabernet is no longer being made.
Food not as good as in the past. Very pricey. Noise level very difficult to have a dinner conversation

Was very nice evening, staff were great. I didn’t appreciate being in the same room as small children for a special occasion. Made for a noisy date away from our own children 🙄
This was our first visit to the Eddie Merlot's in Burr Ridge Illinois. Our server, Ray, did a very good job explaining the dinner menu for us. The tuna dish was excellent, and the filet was perfectly done and flavorful. We highly recommend this restaurant.
