Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - Burr Ridge Ratings and Reviews
It is always a treat to dine at Eddie Melot. I love that they keep a running history log of your previoous visits and can instantly provide you with the name of the fabulous wine you had. Their steaks ares a real treat and Johnathon never disappoints with his knowledge of the menu and wine selection. Yummy!
My wife and I went here for the first time recently. Disappointed in the sea bass lobster special for $51. We had the cupcake for dessert. It was suppose to have a caramel chocolate mousse filling. There was no filling. Also, we found it weird that they serve a half glass of milk with it. We each ordered coffee. When we asked about the milk we were told by our server ,"That some people get thirsty eating a cupcake?" In summary, we liked the atmosphere, but found the food only adequate for the prices charged.
The server was friendly and professional and made us feel welcome. She was not intrusive but was attentive. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was very complimentary. The side vegetables were cooked to perfection. They made our anniversary dinner an event to remember.
This was our first time at Eddie Merlot's. We went for the Easter Brunch.
The brunch was ok. Some of the food was excellent, the tenderloin and salmon, but most of it was just average. The selection of food could have been better as well. The service was Excellent and the restaurant was very nice and chairs comfortable.
In the past, we've gone to Capital Grille and Reel Club for Brunch. We'll probably stick with those in the future.
We were given gift cards to this gem and decided to use them up....we LOVE this place! And they aim to please! Food is great and menu offering well rounded. We are not big drinkers but their lounge area sure looked like fun! It was packed and very energetic. We ate in the main dining room and found it quiet and romantic . Can't wait to go back!
Eddie Merlot's is a very comfortable restaurant. My husband love the Chardonnay room because he thinks the chairs are very comfortable. We all ordered off the three course Spring Menu and everyone was pleased. We had the Bourbon glazed Beef Brochette and the Cedar Plank Salmon. Both Beef orders were cooked perfectly...rare and medium rare. We loved the chocolate Pots de Creme and the Apple Pie Bread Pudding looked good but was a very large portion. Our service was efficient and professional.
Great choices for food. There were 4 of us and we had from Bison Steak to Scallops. The salads are big enough to share. The sides are meant to share and are delicious! One person had one of the specials which was a flat iron steak with frites and a Caesar salad for $30! Our server took extremely good care of us, as always! We were there for over 3 hours and were not rushed or pressured about leaving. The wine list is full of delicious choices and carries a favorite so we were happy. You can also eat in the bar where there are sandwiches or go for appetizers and try it out. They are also open for lunch which is also very good. Enjoy!
Care is always evident when dining at Eddie Merlot. The wait staff is the tops. Was disappointed in short rib stroganoff[spell?] I ordered for lunch. Meat was tender but somehow dry at the same time. Also a bit skimpy on the sauce. Did not think this entree was worth the $19 lunch price. Order a different entree.
This was our first time dining at Eddie Merlot's and we were not disappointed. The food, and the service were excellent! Our waiter Jeton was attentive and knowledgeable and made the best 'Bananas Foster' Tableside! I especially loved the pressed coffee. We will be back!
I was disappointed. It was my 1st time there and me and my girlfriend both ordered steaks. We both wanted the twice baked potatoes but the waiter said they were all out of twice baked potatoes and we had to order another side. That was very disappointing. How could a restaurant run out of food on a Saturday Night.
Eddie Merlot, Burr Ridge is an energetic, vibrant scene with a widespread chophouse-like menu. The shrimp cocktail presentation is unique (with a billowing dry ice effect), the scallops melt in your mouth, and the filet was perfect. I asked for medium and actually got medium. Better for groups of 6 or less due to high noise level. Staff is very attentive and accommodating.
When we called to say we would be 15 minutes late, they agreed to hold our table. We were actually 10 minutes late, and they were even apologetic for having us wait at all, and brought us glasses of their house wine. Eddie Merlots is expensive, but they had all the nice touches to go with the meal. Our crabcake appetizer was one of the best we have had. The wine list was varied, and our glasses poured generously. Our Chateaubriand was excellent, and the peanut butter cup mousse dessert was light and rich at the same time.
I don't recall how many time I have been to Eddie's with my wife, but at least three time since I joined their dining club. The cost of membership was totally retrieved and then some after the third visit. As usual, the service was great, very attentive and never felt rushed. An the wait person took time to explain and recommend various dishes. A big plus on Sunday nights is half-price on bottles of wine from their by the glass list. Great food, great ambiance, great experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We have never been disappointed. I had the beef carpaccio, a beet salad, and the ahi tuna. My husband had the escargots, a Cesar salad, and the Platte River filet. Every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We shared the lemon sherbet for dessert. It was smooth and creamy and the perfect ending to the meal.
This is one of my
Favorite places to eat. I don't even like steak but I love theirs! I downed a 14oz ny strip. They have the tastiest Mac and cheese as well! I adore their cocktails, especially the strawberry mojito and the berry white. This is the best place to
Go on a romantic date! :)
