We had a great meal but service became slow as the restaurant became busy.
Food was overpriced for the quality. We had the filet. Seated us next to a counter where they stored wine glasses. Every time the set a table they would squeeze between our table and the counter banging the glasses together as they tried to carry them to the table. Boston has a lot better restaurants then this one. I will pass on a return visit
My second experience on this restaurant and one worse than the other. Service this time was Outstanding but the food terrible table of seven every single steak was not cook properly.

Jamal was our server and was outstanding. With this being our first time to Eddie Merlot’s, he made great recommendations and answered all of our questions. The food was top notch, portions generous, and drinks tasty. We will definitely be spreading the word about this place and hope to return in the future.
Service was horrible. It took about 45 minutes to bring us out our soup. We ended up leaving before our entrees had come out because we had been there for 2 hours at this point. The manager was nice and comped us our meal, but still two hour for three entrees is ridiculous.
If they think this restaurant competes on the general quality level with places such as Abe and Louis , Capital Grille , Grill 23 , Morton’s etc . then they are not telling you the truth ! Goodbye Eddie !

Celebrated a birthday last night and we can not rave enough about this fine establishment. Every need and request was met above and beyond and the food was beyond amazing! Shout out to Molly who was the perfect waitress and gave us an amazing show making us some insanely delicious Bananas Foster!!! Thank you for such a beautiful experience, we will be sure to return !

This is a great restaurant with NY City type décor. The steaks were delicious and the portions were generous-especially for the side dishes and the deserts.
Excellent service and delicious food
Waitress was excellent and it is a very nice place. My wife’s steak came out undercooked and then was charred and burnt when it came back. My steak was very good and the lobster tail was excellent.

Everything is excellent at Eddie Merlot. Service is outstanding and when you see the manager Paul busing tables you know there trying there hardest to be #1. Put this one for restaurants to try. Surf and Turf is the way to go. Enjoy

For both those who like steak all the time or every once in a while. The meat was done to perfection and the sides were very tasty. Try Eddie's potatoes (an au gratin)!

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. The rib eye with the truffle Parmesan fries was delicious, as were the very fresh oysters we had as a starter. Definitely recommend!

Started out amazing at the bar, it seemed like we would be in for a treat! As we moved to the table is was very clear this place was under staffed and poorly managed. Our poor waiter who did everything he could was overwhelmed and receiving no assistance by the many team members standing around including a manager who only wanted to say hi to the table with their dogs table side (actually great dogs and love dogs just odd to see also would prefer more dogs at these places) and the French fries in the back. It really is too bad, We probably won’t go back and I want to say again juan did a great job hopefully del Friscos or mastros notice him and give him a job there he will have a lot more support from his team. Overall good food, decor looks great, it’s lacking a sense of brand and leadership.
The food was very good. While eating, they allowed a group on 6 men to stand right beside us talking loudly and standing in the way of all the patrons and waiters as they awaited a table to be set up for their party. It was extremely loud and disturbing to have them being so noisy right next to us as we tried to enjoy our dinner. They should have been asked to move back to the entrance of the restaurant until their table was ready and they could be properly seated. This took away the ambiane that we had expecdted to experience at this restaurant. No one came to them and asked them to move despite everyone working around them.
Shame on the management! This should have been a special and truly enjoyable evening for all diners but this ruined it for us. I would never return nor recommend this place to anyone.

Came in with three other gentlemen, we have been to quite a few steakhouses. All four of our steaks were undercooked, 3 ordered medium rare would’ve been considered near raw (black and blue) at any reputable steakhouse, the fourth steak was ordered medium well and would’ve been considered medium rear anywhere else. We’re not ones to complain so we did not raise the issue and therefore cannot say how they would’ve rectified it. However, when you’re in the seaport in Boston and your dinner tab runs you $800 for four folks you’d expect a level of quality not below those found at discount chain restaurants.
If you’re like me and question why what appears to be a higher end steakhouse has a reservation open last minute on a Saturday, don’t, it’s because this restaurant isn’t worth it.

Great food and menu selection! My only complaint were a few of the side dishes, Eddie’s potatoes were extremely oily and the broccoli was very plain. We love brussel sprouts but they were not crispy and read other reviews they weren’t very good. Beautiful restaurant and great service. Very impressed with dessert menu and table side preparation!
