   If it wasn’t for the kindness of my waiter we would have just left hungry. My Mother’s Day service was horrible. We waited 35 minutes to be seated and we were on time for our 6:30pm reservation. Then waited and hour for our food to receive Luke warm Sea Bass. I tried to keep a smile so our waiter didn’t get discouraged but it was hard. We were sat right by the what looked like the kitchen area. Horrible place to sit if someone brought a date. First time coming to a 5 star restaurant where the food wasn’t good. I don’t wanna see anymore Sea Bass for a while now due to the way it came out. Just very disappointed

   It’s always a great time at Eddie Merlo’s. The food is always top-tier. We never have a problem. The only thing I didn’t like this time was the carrot cake just rubbed me the wrong way.

   Super disappointed with Mothers Day dinner preparation. The service was hectic and chaotic ! For the amount of money you spend - it should've been seamless. Shrimp not cooked all the way , missing dinner until everyone else ate , cocktails missed , and just overall disorganized -- I was surprised that we were experiencing this at this restaurant-- bill was wrong - it just kept going ! I was embarrassed cause it was my suggestion !

   Unfortunately, our experience here was disappointing due to poor customer service and a lack of clear communication. The hostess at the front was not very helpful, and we were not informed that the restaurant only offered buffet-style service until 2 PM. We had expected to order from the regular menu, but there was no signage or verbal explanation upon arrival to clarify this. Even the confirmation email failed to highlight this important detail—it should have been clearly stated. We waited 40 minutes before realizing on our own that only the buffet was being served. When we asked the front desk staff if they could check for cancellations or help us with a later reservation for the regular menu at 4 PM, we were simply told to check OpenTable ourselves. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, and the lack of clear information made it seem like the restaurant only operated as a buffet. Given the service and confusion, we on returning.

   From the warm and welcoming greeting by Clare (and the rest of the front desk ladies) upon arrival until the last bite of delicious food, this was truly a wonderful dining experience. As regular visitors who always enjoy EM’s dinner selections, this holiday brunch was extraordinary. There was a huge selection of breakfast and heartier fare from made to order omelets to sliced tenderloin and lamb chops. The latter were the standouts – deliciously prepared. And, just as important (if not more important) was the friendly and impeccable service from waiter, Kyle, and a warm greeting from manager, Jim. Thanks and kudos to all the EM staff for another perfect dining experience. Tom & Carol

   After waiting 1.5 hours I got a well done steak when I asked for medium. They bring me a new one and it’s rare not even cooked. After 2 attempts you would think an upper class steakhouse wouldn’t be making these mistakes. I will never come back here again. Did not even get enough respect for a manger to approach us and apologize for there mistake. I have been here numerous times and never had such an issue. I had to leave and get another meal somewhere else. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

   Last night was a horrible experience as my first dining experience at Eddie Merlot’s. Not only did we have a newer waitress that was not assisted by the rest of the staff or management it took 30 minutes for drinks 45 minutes for appetizers and then we were notified that they were out of all fried items..My steak was cooked medium rare and I asked for medium well. They discounted the whole meal but management was just very nonchalant about the whole experience. It was not that we wanted a discounted meal we wanted a good meal. They did give us free dessert but they made us wait another 45 minutes for it along with the bill. We were at the restaurant from 830 to 11 o’clock.. a complete waist of our time.

   start with the bad, Tempura Green Beans (a staple for us ) were terrible. A wad of under cooked tempura. Sea bass special was OK! Now the good! Moriah our server was awesome Thank you! the sweet/spicy shrimp great Tuna was very good overall a good but not great meal.

   The restaurant is beautiful and clean. There was live music that was loud for my three generational family. The food was largely excellent. The lobster mashed potatoes has large pieces of dry lobster that wasn’t the best. Filets were wonderful. Bread, salads, desserts were fantastic. Service was nice but super slow. We waited nearly 90 min for our entrees. I would go back. Assuming this was just an off night. In general a very nice place. I would go back for a light dinner of soups and salads. Before I would go back for a full meal.

    Although we live nearby we have never been and decided to try for 48 anniversary outing. The waitstaff was phenomenal and the choices in the happy hour menu diverse enough to keep us happy for 2 hours. Will definitely go back.
