   Although we live nearby we have never been and decided to try for 48 anniversary outing. The waitstaff was phenomenal and the choices in the happy hour menu diverse enough to keep us happy for 2 hours. Will definitely go back.

   Our reservation was for 7:15 for a table for (6)we were seated about 7:35, just a prelude as to what was to come let me just say that over the years we come to Eddie Merlot's at least a few times a year, however this experience was the worst, the place was packed, however we have been there when it was packed before so that's no excuse, The LA Clipper vs Denver basketball game was about to begin keep that in mind, service was kind of slow understandable based on crowd, however this was beyond slow this was like snail speed on steroids, as the game was coming to an end we received our entrees 5 Ribeye steaks in bourbon and 1 order of Salmon, once the steaks were cut into they were all cold not warm but cold, Salmon was dried out, so as a the 5 of us with steaks decide to just take the home and warm the up tomorrow because they were seasoned well but just cold,the individual who ordered salmon just decided to throw his out instead of taking home,I talked to management and they tried to salvage the birthday celebration by giving us free dessert and credit on the bill , however the night was already ruined, As I stated before our group of 6 usally comes here for birthday , and other holiday celebrations, we are now considering giving some other places like Ocean Prime our business, based on our evening, finally when we left the restaurant the game was over and it was after 11:00 pm, I'm exhausted just writing this down, I am still very disappointed in Eddie Merlot's

   The service was poor with no explanation of the menu and/or specials. The waiter (John) was not attentive and if this a 5 star restaurant, it truly doesn’t equate to other restaurants that have been visited. In closing, asking for leftovers to be wrapped. He brought the carryout containers to the table for us to utilize with us packing and a bag to place the items in.

   To get to the point, there was only three tables that were getting served in the whole place, this is on a Saturday at 5: 00. We waited for our food for an entire hour, when the food came out, just lukewarm and not tasty at all. For a high cost! Chilean sea bass AND THAT'S ALL YOU GOT NO SIDES $49 cold dollars a piece! it was fried on the top and not steamed as it should be. King crab bisque soup was good Caesar salad sub par, I am beyond disappointed that the waitress knew of my complaint and management never came to table so she gave us free cheesecake instead and that took another 15 minutes to cut and bring to the table as no we called for a manager in the parking lot and they said one manager leaving and the other four are busy. We called the next day because I never called back and the next day and was promised a gift card still no gift card and I had to be the one calling for three consecutive days. For that I encourage people to stay away!!! Unless you want to donate your money, very poor management and food, it just looks pretty on the outside.

   We always loved coming to Eddie Merlot, but lately the service has been very poor...slow, forgetful, etc. While the food is good, it's becoming frustrating to dine here.

   The worst. Kitchen couldn’t get me a shrimp cocktail out in 30 min. Looking trashy/ dated in bar area. High tops removed, low sitting seats in the dining area. Took a long time for drinks. I have a wine locker, a golden coin reserved for great patrons, I still have over a thousand dollars in gift certificates that I have purchased…..& I don’t want to ever go back.

   Delicious dinner taking advantage of the $99 for 2 people. My husband and I, along with another couple, were very impressed. Our waiter, John, was so attentive and pleasant. We will return to Eddie Merlot's! I loved my filet mignon. My husband loved his salmon oscar. And, don't forget the carrot cake!!!

   Understaffed restaurant. Waited almost 20 minutes for the hostess to even show up at the host stand. Restaurant was practically empty and our waitstaff barely checked in on us. The bar was no better - two bartenders and still waited a very ling time to order a drink and even longer to get the check. Just seems like the staff ignores the customers. Food was good however.

    We enjoy going to Eddie Merlots since its near out home. Some nights the food is good and sometimes its subpar for the money. Last night it was subpar. Lauren our server was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. We always find the staff is great at this restaurant. My husband and I have started sharing meals since the quality is inconsistent and not worth wasting the cash on an extra meal we won't like. We don't generally complain to the staff since it's not something they could really correct in one meal. Some steaks are great and some not so great so it's just the luck of the draw sometimes. They were out of a lot of things on the menu and for a Thursday that seemed alarming about their future. We hope they can continue to stick around but hope they can improve their quality.
