Meg was our server. She was terrific!!
We had a very nice dinner and dinner experience on Father's Day. The restaurant was busy and overall service was a little slow, though for us the pace was fine given the occasion (everyone was content to relax, drink wine, and talk). I suspect some groups might have gotten restless given the pace. The food was very good, well prepared and well presented. Our table seemed to test a lot of areas in the kitchen, different steaks as well as seafood dishes. Everyone was quite satisfied with their respective dinners. We had a great time and would recommend Eddie Merlot's to anyone looking for a "fine dining" experience. They are definitely a cut above the norm in the Ashburn area.
Menu was limited than several previous visits, which was disappointing. They removed beef carpaccio and the bone-in filet.
Food was so good! Love how the manager comes around and talks to all the tables. It feels really personable!
Great decor beautiful set up. Food was great and menu was different in a good way. Great for family and date night. Service was awesome on all front.
Excellent food, great service, beautiful restaurant. A real gem in Northern Virginia. We travel over an hour from our home to eat here!
Food was terrible ordered the calamari appetizers it was rubber like, ordered oysters were terrible and the filet was tough and shrimps were tasteless. Even the truffle fries had absolutely no truffle. Very bad dining experience
Have a wonderful dinner. The service seemed slow, but i'm not certain if that was due to the kitchen being slow or there not being sufficient wait staff. The food always arrived hot and was wonderful, the staff was very polite and professional, and it is a beautiful place. The noise was at times incredibly loud...we were seated in a more private area, and when walking through the main room it was very very loud. 4 stars only based on slowness and noise. Great food and very pleasant staff!
The bourbon trail special was delicious
Great location. The food selection is very good. The atmosphere is friendly without being rushed. We took advantage of the bourbon tour. We started with the bourbon candied bacon, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the flank steak and I enjoyed the lamb lollipops. The portion size is very good for the price. We'll be back.
Very disappointing! The Oysters Rockefeller were undersized, the server’s attentiveness was less than desired. For a “premier” steakhouse - why did it take three times to get a medium rare steak correct? So sad, so over priced, so less than desired.
We go to Eddie Merlot every year for our anniversary. This year was just as delicious expected. See you next year Eddie Merlot
Delicious dinner with outstanding service
My husband and I were in the area, so we checked Open Table for a restaurant nearby to get dinner and chose Eddie Merlot’s.
The hostess who showed us to our table was friendly and she even complimented me on the color of my manicure. Our server was Cody and he was fantastic.
Bread and butter were good.
We started with the bourbon chicken flatbread. Amazing. Not too heavy and the flavors blended well.
I ordered the Parisian Lemon Drop. Shaken and poured at the table. Tasty and refreshing.
New Orleans Mixed Grill - very good flavor (mashed potatoes were heaven). Caesar salad was good too.
Bison filet, baked potato and broccoli (I thought the bison filet was a bit chewy and didn’t have enough flavor, I switched steaks with my husband). The baked potato was good, just add salt and pepper. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and seasoned well.
Vanilla cognac brownie - it was a nice lil show with it. He used a torch to heat the cognac and vanilla and then poured it over the ice cream and brownie. It was really really good.
My husband received creme brûlée dessert for his birthday and he loved it.
I would definitely return if I am ever in the area again.
Great food and service. House win is very good, steaks cooked to perfection
Son wanted to visit, one last time, prior to moving to Texas. Overall experience was great, as usual. Appeared to be limited staff, causing longer than usual wait times for service.
We were there for our anniversary. The Prime Aged NY Strip was cooked perfectly, and the smoke, aged taste was outstanding. My wife ordered salmon, and she loved it. The service was outstanding.
This restaurant need to invest in training its wait staff in the fine art of catering to the discerning customers it’s trying to attract.
Great hospitality great experience.
Would definitely recommend to come back for another day
Went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration and is was beyond amazing. Food was superb and our service from Leone's was spot on. She was knowledge of menu and parings and was a great server. The food was great from the drinks, soups and main courses all which were perfect. Atmosphere was great and we never felt rushed. It was a great experience and I highly rate this restaurant
Rochelle and AJ were wonderful. They were attentive and accommodating
The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive. The food was delicious and the weather was perfect for the outdoor seating area.
Promotion at work
We had a nice time. Pricey, but great food & service.
Delicious food with outstanding service
Great dinner date. Drinks were excellent, bourbon steak is the way to go, and finish with the carrot cake.
Great service! Excellent food!
Great everything - a little pricey. I always order the Ceaser, Filet and loaded back potato. The carrot cake is unbelievable, but a single serving is for at least 4 people.
Service was abysmal and when you’re paying $60 for a steak a la carte, I expect decent service. Slow service and staff not knowledgable about food or drinks. They did comp a steak that was ordered medium rare and cooked medium well. But the terrible service was like we were getting punked - it was that bad. Won’t return.
The dinner was great with good service and excellent meat and veggie choices. The tastes and presentations were top notch. Not a real fan of training during our "date night" as it was disruptive and not conducive for a pleasant experience as a customer. Perhaps observation of the trainee at the table and then the verbal aspects of training would be best done away from your guests. The dinner itself with food was a 5- the service was a 4 because of the obvious let me train the new employee on how to pour wine, etc. Overall experience was a 4.5-
Great place to celebrate your special occasion. Food and server were excellent.
Fabulous and timing was good for all courses
Visiting from out-of -town. Ate dinner on the outdoor patio. Food was good and value met our expectations. The service was a bit slow as the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night.
Our server was very knowledeable and even brought us a nice dessert for my boyfriend's birthday! It was our first time dining there and we had a wonderful experience!
Had a very enjoyable dinner at Eddie Merlot's last evening. Everything was incredible from cocktails to entrees. We had Filet Del Mar and Salmon which were both cooked perfectly along with accompaniments. Our server was attentive and took good care of us in spite of being very busy.
This location in Ashburn has my favorite servers of all the restaurants we go to! They remember us and welcome us back. The manager stops by to say hi too. The best staff ever.
Leo was awesome and the food superb!
I took my husband here for his birthday. The food was fabulous, the ambience was elegant and the service was superb. We will definitely return.
very good food and very good service, very comfortable and beautiful building
