Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - Ashburn
My husband and I each had a filet and I'm pretty sure we would have been able to cut them with a fork. They were tender and delicious! We've already reserved another dinner there in a couple of weeks.
We eat here often, hubby suggested I order the wagyu beef because it was my birthday. I usually order the filet mignon, and I was disappointed as there was no difference in texture or taste from the wagyu and the filet. I should have just ordered the filet and saved the $69.95 I paid for the 5 oz wagyu cut. I mentioned something to our waiter, and all he said was, "well now you know you've tried wagyu and how it tastes." :o0 Really??
Food was excellent. Server was efficient and attentive. My group had Wagyu ribeyes and I had sea bass. They were all cooked to perfection. We ordered 3 sides and 2 would have been plenty for 4 of us to share.
We loved our experience! Great chef, service and management.
Service is absolutely the best in the area. Hats off to Carla, Molly, and the service team. Attention to detail unequaled anywhere is the Ashburn area. Great time, wholeheartedly endorse Eddie Merlot''s for a fine dining experience.
Noise level was high, given the crying baby during the meal. Could not hear our waiter speak and he was slow on the service side. My steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium. I asked the waiter and he stated "yes that is more medium not medium rare". He did ask if I wanted another steak , but that would have made me miss my meal with my guests so I declined. Will give this place another try, maybe just an off night
Josh was a wonderful server. He helped make our celebration memorable. Definitely will visit again.
We went to Eddie Merlot for the first time for our 20th anniversary. The food was excellent & the service was outstanding.
Food was outstanding however the service was just OK. Our waiter would disappear for long periods of time and we had to ask other waiters for bread, water refills and wine. Our second order of wine we never received so we just told him not to charge us and we passed on it. All very sad since there were only twelve to fifteen patrons in the main dining room while we were there (Tuesday night).
This was my first time going to Eddie Merlot's and I enjoyed it very much. We were seated right away. The service was excellent as was the food. The wine selection is extensive. It is a fairly expensive restaurant but not out of line with any of the higher end steak houses I have been too. Perfect place for celebrating a special occasion. I will definitely be going back.
Wonderful meal for Father’s Day! Service was outstanding!
We love Ediie Merlot's and go there very often, especially for special occassions. It's beautiful atmosphere, unique decorations, impeccable service and delicious food keeps Eddie Merlot's an important part of our family's dining traditions. I recommend it highly!
Fabulous, the best fine dining in Ashburn
The restaurant has a nice setting. We had to ask the server twice for the market price for the crab legs and had to remind him a second time to bring us the dessert menu.
The food was good and nice presented but not worth the money they charged.
We have been to the happy hours a few times before and loved it. We will return for happy hour but not for dinning.
Freezing cold draft from AC, way too noisy with kids running around. Food was so so
Waitress was attentive and everything was as great as usual.
Food is good. Service is great. Value is good. Ambiance is Okay. My party was large 8+ no gratuity which is great but the tables were a little close together to other parties
We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We ordered an appetizer that never came and the food came out rather fast, but all in all it was a good dinner.
A wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. Jessica was a spectacular server, and made our food choices and experience just perfect. We will be back!
Excellent service from Mark
We’re always looking for great steak places and Eddie Merlot’s did not disappoint. The service was amazing. Our server was friendly and attentive.
The spinach artichoke dip was a little chunky and dry, but tasted amazing.
Both of our steaks were delicious and cooked exactly as ordered. I highly recommend “Maxwell style” - same as Oscar but with lobster meat instead of crab! Really tasty!
The chocolate cake had a coffee glaze, which we didn’t care for, but if you like coffee, then this is your dessert!!
The mac and cheese was good, but not great. Honestly, there was so much other stuff that the mac and cheese really got ignored.
Looking forward to going back!
Hostess pleasant. Waiter courteous but disappeared for long periods of time. We had to ask for bread 3 times. Appetizers were large and tasty. Entree serving size was small. Waiter did provide a complimentary dessert. Restaurant was very noisy.
We sat at the bar. Taya took an awesome care of us. Our steak were perfectly cooked New York Strip and Bison Bone in Ribeye
Can’t want to go back there
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Eddie Merlot's for HH. I enjoyed the wine and the food. Our server was sweet and enjoyable, a bit slow with retrieving wine and being that HH is a time sensitive event, it wasn't great to see my wine sit at the bar and him pass it constantly. I think for HH they should offer more options, but I was delighted with the portion size having no bearing on reduced cost. The bill was way more than we planned before getting to the restaurant, but for what we ordered it was justified. Just not sure I'll do a HH there again as its usually supposed to be a cheaper option. Food was excellent and wine also was excellent. The ambiance provided a great place for my friend and I to catch up.
It was our first visit to Eddie Merlot’s. We try to visit new places on our anniversaries, and you did not disappoint!! Food and service were exceptional. It was a great overall experience, which I’m certain will be repeated.
We had reservations for my husband’s 30th bday- a party of 15. Before we got our drinks they were asking for our dinner order. We wanted a fun, relaxing dinner. We were rushed as soon as we got there. We even had a private room with a &1200 drink/food minimum and were rushed. My daughter and father had over cooked steak and my mother in laws steak was cold. When they finally brought my dad’s steak back they were also bringing dessert menus! The food was mediocre and certainly not worth the money they charge. My husband got Wagyu ribeye that was $99- it was unevenly cooked and tasted no different than my $50 steak. If you want a good steak, professional wait staff, and good time go to Capitol Grill! We only came to Eddie Merlots because it was closer. Never again!
Great dining experience! Will definitely be back
We celebrated our anniversary here. The service was excellent. My husband's steak was excellent. I had the break dish. Portion was large but break was breaded and over fried. There was very little sauce hidden between the pieces so was dry. Enjoyed a red wine flight to taste 3 wines. French press coffee was wonderful with creme brulee dessert.
Service Couldn't have been any better, I cant remember his name but he was the best waiter.
I was with my Wife for her Birthday on 05-22-19 at 7 PM and we had the best time. If you can figure out who he was defiantly thank him again. ( He deserves a nice raise / bonus because I am defiantly going to be telling more people to go there)
We had a mostly lovely dinner at Eddie's. The food was very good as always but service was a little off. Our server was a very personable young man and had a good rapport with the guests which I think distracted him a bit. He was working hard serving several tables and helping out elsewhere but unfortunately dropped the ball several times during our dinner. He apologized profusely and manager pointed out to us when we alerted him that server was having some personal issues that may have caused the problems which I fully understand however, if that was case he probably shouldn't have been at work. The restaurant business in our area is very competitive and sometimes people can be put off by this and never return. We love Eddie's and will continue to come back so hope this doesn't happen again. My best wishes to our server and his family.
The service was severely lacking and the food was of poor quality, when compared with our previous experiences. It took over twenty minutes to even order our drinks. We tried the crab legs and they were not fresh or served hot. The steak was tasty and well prepared. The waiter was nice, but there was a private party that significantly detracted from the main dinning room service. To the extent, it was a struggle to even order two beverages the entire evening. It’s hard to justify the prices, when a vast majority of other local restaurants would do much better. This scenario was clearly a management issue, based on a lack of sufficient staffing and planning for additional resources.
Very stylish restaurant. I had my milestone birthday celebration here in the private room. My guests were very impressed.
Fantastic meal, great service and a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th anniversary! We can’t wait to return!
Exceptional food and experience. Celebrated my husband’s birthday and our waitress Cassie was amazing. She made excellent recommendations (it was our first time) and even gave us a handwritten birthday card and special desserts in celebration.
My family loves steak and this is now our #2 (led by Ruth's Chris). I'm glad we finally visited EM, upset we waited so long and will definitely return. The filet mignon and ribeye were amazing and for sides...we tried mac & cheese (average), sweet potato casserole (excellent), asparagus (hard to screw up) and corn (not as good as DC Prime but average and probably a lot healthier than DC Prime). The creme brulee- excellent. Enjoy!!!
Don't be in a rush because you'll be here for at least 2 1/2 hours. The food takes an extraordinarily long time to arrive. My scallops were only luke warm. My husband's filet was not cooked to medium well - one was rare. My child did not enjoy her sirloin burger - she said it "tastes funny". Not worth the money. We wanted to see what the hype was about. We saw and probably will not return.
Went on Mothers Day. Two out of four steaks were overcooked, and that was after waiting like 45 minutes for the order to be cooked. Dinner salads came before appetizer. Noticed multiple tables being apologized to, so either a really bad night, or still working through start-up pains. For a $240 meal for four without any alcohol, I would've expected a better experience.
Food quality was not good especially for a 350 meal. Won’t be back any time soon and we are members.
I went there for Mother's Day and I was disappointed with the buffet. I actually regretted going there the food was not good and was really surprised. Did not meet my expectation for the price.
