Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef & Seafood - Ashburn
Delicious food always
Fabulous food and service and lovely upscale atmosphere - a real gem in Ashburn!
The ambience was very nice, and our waitress was AMAZING! Like imagine Nordstrom’s model customer service and then inject that image with steroids and that’s how good our waitress was! The steak melted in our mouths - oh the Lobster Bisque, mmmmmm! Can’t wait to go back again!
Food and service were great, we will return!
The only downside would be that we were seated at a table for two right behind the entrance and it was cold that night, every time the doors opened we would catch the draught.
Our server was very nice and attentive. But, the food to forever to get to the table. I ordered the King Crab and corn chowder which had good flavor but hardly any crab. The rest of the meal was good but didn't start out very well.
Service was good. Staff very friendly, prompt, attentive. The food was very good but we found the steak and sausage too salty. We don’t put salt on our food so we might be outliers. Otherwise, a very good restaurant and I would return.
Appetizer was amazing but 2/3 of my steak medallions were way over cooked and the third one was practically raw.
Great appetizers, entrees, & deserts.
My husband and I tried Eddie Merlot’s for the first time on Friday. AMAZING! The waiter, Andy was such a great guy and so personable. Our food was fantastic! We’re definitely going back for date night!
We went on Valentine’s Day as our first time going and everything was delicious. We had a later reservation and it was clear some tables had been there for a while and experienced a bit of a wait for their food. The manager was making his rounds apologizing and engaging with those customers to ease their frustrations. Our waiter, William, was very friendly, outgoing and attentive. While some were complaining and giving him a hard time about their wait, he was gracious and kept his cool even during a very difficult exchange with the table next to us.
I had the 4oz waygu steak and my husband had the New Orleans- 4oz USDA prime with shrimp and andouille sausage, and added on a crab cake side. Both of our steaks were cooked properly to order and it was all amazing! We had the signature drinks and Valentine’s desert platter.
We will definitely go again!!
Excellent all around!
We showed up for Valentines Day dinner at 7:30 with reservations at 7:45. They clearly had overbooked because the hostess was in a state of panic when she saw that I had a reservation. There were 10-15 couples standing in the front area waiting to be seated. She said there would be an hour wait and recommended we try to get a drink at the bar. My wife and I were not happy - and I saw the night potentially going downhill fast... Fortunately - we found a spot at the crowded bar and bought drinks/apps. We eventually were seated at 8:30 and luckily got a fantastic waitress who was very helpful and accommodating. The food was fantastic - I got a 16 oz Bourbon Ribeye - my wife got the Filet Del Mar. The waitress comp'd our wine bottle due to the wait. I would absolutely go back but be weary of extremely busy date nights like Valentines Day.
While the food was fantastic, the service on this visit was sub par. Not the experience we first had by far. Would definitely return, just maybe not on Valentine's day!
Made reservations and it was on time, the wait time for the wrong order was over an hour. The mistake was acknowledged, but no compensation for the incorrect meal and WAY too long to wait for the correct one. Seated at 7:20, meal was served after 9:00. With an hour drive, it was a late for a weeknight!
We have friends who love your Ohio location-Columbus I think-so we thought we'd give you a try. This was our first time (myself and my hubby) visiting Eddie Merlot. I really enjoyed the food. Our waiter Brock was outstanding. He was timely, friendly, always knew when to check on us and offered our drink refills just as we needed them. We came on Valentine's day, so it was super crowded and noisy which we expected. So for our waiter to be so attentive on such a crowded night was really impressive. My husband wasn't super impressed with the noise levels but I blame the Valentine dinner goers. We do plan to return to try the bananas foster. I had a great time.
Food was good. Service was very weak. Server messed up our drinks, food order and tried to rush us out. Additionally, items were on the check that we didn’t order.
We’ve enjoyed going there often but, Valentine’s Day was a need and the sever seemed like he stated 2 days before that. Luckily, Brian the bus boy, literally 2 days on the job, was very attentive
Food was over cooked. Dessert was awful. Will never go back there.
For what we spent for 2 people I thought the price was VERY expensive ($227.00) They wine ended up being $20 per glass and the mac n cheese was a tad bit dry. For the price we paid, I could have gone to The Capital Grille. The service and ambience was good though.
The visit began OK but service deteriorated soon after. The water and wine arrived timely. The salad was delivered but the appetizer was forgotten. The server, William, was indifferent and said he'd bring it after the salad. We finished the salad and waited 20 minutes for the appetizer which arrived with the bread. Forty minutes later the entrée arrived. Once the waiter first poured the white wine he never checked it again. We waited another 20 minutes after we finished the entrée and I finally had to flag him down and just ask for the check. He never offered coffee desert or anything else. Very poor service even allowing for a full restaurant.
It took almost over 30 mins for our server to come back to us after placing our appetizer. Other servers couldn’t find him. Finally, I asked the hostess for our check.
Filet was one of the best. Blackened shrimp in the mixed grill not
Blackened at all. Expected better service.
Went for Valentine's day food was great and service was great as well
Wonderful dining experience! And the dessert our server brought for the birthday guest was a very nice touch. Thank you!
The food was absolutely amazing! We tried it all so it was quite pricey but so worth it! We will definitely be going back.
Horrible experience for my Mother's birthday celebration. Steak served cold, assistant manager who did nothing but re-heat (over cook) the steak and serve it cold again. The assistant manager has no idea how to interact with customers - very unprofessional. My parents ate alone and my over cooked, cold steak served nearly 20 minutes later was returned with the sides left on the table - cold broccoli and mushrooms - yum. I may never have dinner at EM again. That said, of the many times I have eaten there, every previous experience was outstanding, but this last time my have done it for me.
Celebrated my parents 58th anniversary here and we were very happy. We had a great waiter which made the experience even better. We will be back!
food was excellent as was Tim. very nice and comfortable atmosphere.
Outstanding experience at Eddie Merlot's in One Loudoun last Saturday evening. The service was amazing and the food incredible. We were visited by both the owner and the manager checking in on us. And, our wait-staff team were attentive without being intrusive. Oysters on the half shell were fresh, plump and delicious. GREAT steaks. We've eaten at "DC Prime" in Loudoun County as well and the steaks at Eddie Merlot's were far superior. A very nice varied selection of side dishes as well. We have the scalloped potatoes and the brussel sprouts - both were amazing. We ordered desert to go to take home - and when we got home we discovered that they gave us a double helping of each! Oh My - they were such a decadent treat - so yummy. We'll be back!
Well overall it was good. The food which is the main point was excellent. Nothing but good things to say.
The service however was slow an not as attentive as I would have expected. Water refills were nonexistent. Had to ask multiple times. Food arrived timely, all courses, just the other things like drink refills whether it’s water or wine. Getting the bill was slow as well as paying once I put the bill with my credit card on the table.
When we arrived we made it clear that we were hungry and ready so we placed our appetizer order. Like 10 minutes later it occurred to the waiter that hey maybe bread will be good so he offered. We were like yeah send it on. We would have expected the waiter to automatically be like, “huh your hungry, appetizers may take awhile, let me get you some bread.” Should have been automatic. The attention to detail was missing.
When ordering I am big on asking details of the dishes and getting recommendations. Waiter seemed clueless when it came to the menu.
Don’t get me wrong the waiter was a nice guy and he was trying, so don’t blame him rather I feel like Management could do a better job of training them. I saw similar behavior with other waiters in neighboring tables. Management should call the staff in one day and have them try all the dishes. Have them try it all and be able to describe the dishes and provide personal recommendations.
We went for our 15 year Anniversary and specified it on the reservation. They were excellent at greeting us and congratulating us. We received a very nice card at the end of the dinner and an excellent Creme Brûlée on the House. Essentially everything that could have gone better was washed away with their thoughtful kindness. I thought that was excellent and will give them another try.
For those wanting details on dishes. We got the Filet Mignon Chili, Crab and Corn Chowder, Bison Filet Mignon Oscar Style, and Sea Bass. It was all excellent.
Our server Cassie ws very knowledgable about both the menu and the wine selections. This was our first time there andwe will definitely be back.
Always an excellent experience! Love this place!
Our experience at Eddie Merlot's was excellent from start to finish. Warm welcome from hostess and waiter, scrumptious apps, perfectly seasoned entrees, and unbelievable desserts. We'll definitely will be back for more!
Amazing service and meal.
The food was cold and not well prepared. The waiter was great!
Delicious food with excellent service. MAG our server was excellent
We were looking forward to our night out but it definitely fell short of what we were expecting based on the prices... we asked for glasses of wine to be brought when our meals came out and the wine came a minute after I ate my last bite; the server also blamed the bar for a delay in a different drink order... so whether it was the bars fault or the servers for not ordering in a timely manner... I don’t know but it was frustrating! The steak was good but the chocolate cake was no better than what you might buy in a grocery store. All in all we won’t be going back for a repeat visit.
The food and service never disappoints! I like to get to dinner a tad early in order to enjoy a drink at the bar.
It was a awesome experience. Unfortunately due to my income I probably wont be going often. If i hadn't been given a gift card for my birthday I wouldnt have gone. It was worth it however.
The restaurant was extremely loud. The service was consistently bad from the moment we sat down. We were seated and were not greeted by the waiter for about 10 minutes. We were never offered any refills or bread. We had to ask for everything we received. The special was so salty I had to scrape the sauce off it just to eat it. We were treated by the waiter as he was doing us a favor by waiting us. Our table was not cleared once we were finished eating. Overall this was a consistently miserable dining experience. There were no highlights to the meal. We will not return based on this experience.
