It was my wife’s birthday and the experience was very disappointing. We have eaten there many time with far better results.
Had the Steak Diane table side for two. It was excellent and even more than enough for two people with two generous side dishes. Service was outstanding as always.
I have been going here for about a year - have never been disappointed. Great steaks, wine and service. Prices are high, but quality is excellent. A great place for business meals and special occasions. Service is also excellent.
Thanks for the great food and great service!! The ambiance was outstanding!
Our side item came about 10 minutes later than our main meals. We were never offered the bread that everyone around us received. We were sat in a noisy area when there were open tables in a quieter area.
We ordered 4 steaks. None were done as ordered. Most were overcooked. For the prices they charge I expect to receive as ordered.
We went in for drinks and ended up staying for dinner in the lounge area. They have live music Friday and Saturday nights. Great lounge and dinner menu. Our servers was attentive and food was outstanding. This restaurant is s hidden gem. We will be back and highly recommend Eddie Merlots to all my friends and family.
Excellent Easter Brunch.
Excellent Easter Brunch buffet with a wide assortment of of menu items.
Perfect place to celebrate special events, holidays and good friends. Most attractive restaurant in the area and a true joy to visit.
Went for Easter Brunch, not something that they have all the time and you could tell it was a bit of a struggle for the staff, but they did a great job and had an excellent food selection. I am not a fan of buffets but this was a great one!
I give Eddie Merlot's in Ashburn 2 stars because the food is decent, not great but decent. My wife and I have dined here twice since it has opened and each time the service was sub-par and the food did not meet expectations for the price. The first time we visited I ordered the Wagyu NY Strip and my wife ordered the Wylarah Filet, both steaks are roughly $100, both steaks came out severely undercooked and had to wait for them to be cooked correctly while we ate our side dish of lobster Mac which is average at best, our second visit was today for the Easter brunch, the food was OK, they didn't have a good flow to the buffet and items weren't refreshed often enough, the carved meat station was poorly ran, most of the meat had been carved well ahead of time and was thoroughly dry by the time you made it back to your table, I can go on but I won't. The other glaring issue besides the service is the seating, they have entirely way to many tables for the amount of diners and they decided on lounge seats for the 2 tops instead of regular chairs they had at the other tables, my wife and I were wedged between a couple of other seated tables and kept bumping chairs with the other patrons. Overall I am very dissatisfied with a so called fine dining establishment.
The Easter Brunch was fabulous! The filet melted in my mouth, Everything was wonderful, even the coffee. Great variety to choose from and all top quality dishes. The Bloody Mary and Mimosa special was a winner. We walked away full, not stuffed.
Did not have a going experience. Steak was good but everything else was bad. The Maryland crab cake tasted horrible. Service was ok.
My food was delicious but it was definitely cold. Even my Mashed Potato's were cold so I could tell it had been sitting. The experience was great, but my food didn't meet my expectation.
Our waiter was amazing. He really made our visit memorable and fun! We will definitely be back, and hopefully we will have him again!
To mark the evening exceptional we must compliment the waiter. Mamoun was attentive yet not intrusive. We enjoyed his sense of humor and his attention to detail. All in all it was a fabulous experience.
It was ok. Desserts were fabulous, but overall it was it was way too expensive for what it was.
The entire night was a bust. Grumpy waiter, sub par food. We have been there 3 times and the this was by far the worst. The steaks were cooked incorrectly, the truffle fries were ice cold and disgusting. And to top it off the waiter had attitude once we didn't order a lot of alcohol and four of us shared shared steaks. two steaks for for of us. The other two people at our table had their own steak and entrée.
Food was excellent. Our server could have been a little more attentive, but in all due respect, it was getting busy just after we were seated.
The service was really good. I got a b-day card when we sat down with the promise a small surprise would arrive after dinner, which has not happened. My dessert has not been offered, contrary of the complimentary b-day dessert in other upscale restaurants.
Overall a very good experience and good food.
Sides on the heavy side, with a lot of butter and cream, which is tasteful but creates some heaviness after dinner.
Delicious food with outstanding service. Mark our server is always outstanding. Delicious steak
We had a wonderful meal, started with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes, then chateaubriand for two and finished with the peanut butter cup dessert. Brock was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. We will definitely be back and would recommend the restaurant to others.
As usual, dinner was excellent in every respect. The wine was as good as ever as was the superb onion soup and house salad. The special consisting of a ribeye, jumbo shrimp and fried onions was a most pleasant surprise and excellent eating. No one in town comes close to matching the food and service you get at Eddie Merlo.
I was really disspointed in the artic char dish (very bland). That said, thr carrot cake was amazing and out of this world.
Enjoyed wonderful food, great service and fantastic desert's.
I love the seafood and steaks! I'm more of a seafood guy, so I like steakhouses that have a solid seafood selection. This place does for sure! The appetizer crab cake was phenomenal and I'm from Baltimore, so I have the right to comment on this topic. Also, the GM, Kris, is the best and makes all feel welcome! The service is always stellar as well. Will be back again and again.
Our waiter Claudio made the experience very enjoyable. Our dinner was excellent. We barely finished the good sized entrees (arctic char and Cajun mixed grill) and only half finished our roasted Brussels Sprouts side dish.
Food was very average and overpriced. I walked in and asked for a table for three. The hostess said there was an hour wait. The dining room had empty tables so I went to my open table app and made an immediate reservation and was seated 5 minutes later. That kind of pretentiousness is off putting and will not endear them to my future business. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
The food was very good but I felt overpriced. The waiter was attentive but had a poor attitude towards working for Eddie Merlots. It was a bit off putting. All and all, my husband had a nice dinner.
Worst dining experience I’ve had in a year. Unlikely I will ever go back.
I had the 5 ounce Wylarah steak which was the perfect size after starting with the ahi tuna and avocado appetizer. Its portion is generous so good that I order it every time we eat here. My wife loved her salmon on a plank. The room right behind the reception stand is as pretty as any dining room in the DC area. The wine list is exhaustive and fairly priced. We had a great waiter and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Excellent service with great food our server Tim was knowledgeable and went above and beyond service
We were surprised that the extensive wine list did not include a single Rose.
The service was excellent. The meal was also delicious.
Dining room was drafty and steaks were over cooked and almost cold.
Our waiter was not very attentive. My side dish was incorrect and he placed a replacement order that came after my steak was finished. The table also requested dream butter for the lobster and horseradish. It took so long to arrive that my meal got cold. Even with waiting to eat my potatoes did not arrive until my meal was finished.
Early side of dinner rush for bday dinner. Took an hour to get bread. Another 20 mins to get an over cooked $50 steak. Hate to see food waste like that. Server was courteous but surprisingly poor overall experience vs previous times.
