Eclectic Bistro & Bar
The food was excellent and generous portions. The service was okay but not as good as we had read in other reviews.
Returning as a good quality dependable neighborhood eatery
Everyone needs to come here! Especially for brunch! There’s also a drag show that starts at 1:30 pm and one of the best I’ve seen!
I love this place! It really is a hidden gem! Parking is limited up front, but there is parking in the rear and lots of street parking.
I’m really enjoyed the food, from start to finish. I had the bruschetta to start (delicious), a burger for my main (cooked perfectly) and the fries were crispy, hot, and seasoned perfectly. Maybe the best thing was dessert— I forget the name, but it was a fried cookie dough cannoli or something, but OMG, it was so good. I’ll definitely be back!
I went on a Monday, during trivia, it was a blast. Probably a little louder than normal in the bar area, but there is an adjacent dining room that was quieter and more private.
We moved to the area about five months ago and have been struggling to find a go-to neighborhood restaurant and we finally found it!! The food is AMAZING. And I'm a San Francisco foodie, so I don't say that lightly. I had the tenderloin medallions, which were perfectly tender and juicy. The accompanying sauces were a delightful juxtaposition of sweet and spicy, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. My husband had the chicken schnitzel and loved it. He's a pretty picky eater, and he liked it so much, I was lucky to get to taste a bite! Our server, James was fun and friendly, service from the kitchen was slightly slow, but we were the first customers of the evening, so not entirely surprising. Definitely forgivable, and I expect will not be the case on our next visit.
There was only one waiter on staff for the entire restaurant. He was stressed and visibly overwhelmed.
My boyfriend and I went back there after a year of dating, in which our first date was also at Eclectic. This time we sat back on the patio, and we had a really good time. It was pretty busy, and we didn’t even notice that food took more time than usual, but our server came and apologized and offered first drinks on them. It was so kind! We had a great time, and the back patio was really peaceful. The food was amazing, too!
Great place to meet up with friends. Not too crowded on a Friday evening, made for a perfect spot for the 8 of us to catch up. Food was delicious.
Sunday brunch salmon croquettes over gouda cheese grits was the most tasty dish I have ever put in my mouth. Just absolutely awesome. New chef is doing a great job.
great entertainment, food, drinks and service! the show was super entertaining and the space is intimate. You have the privacy of conversing with your own table but are also able to mingle with those around you. I'll definitely be back!
Very friendly staff and an overall pleasant experience. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.
I have heard raving reviews about this Bistro and Bar. Our experience was less than stellar. Neither of us cared for our food and the waiter seemed more interested in entertaining that waiting tables. I'm hoping it was just an off night and the next time is better.
Food and service was amazing. Will definitely be back.
The food was solid in taste but not very imaginative. However, the service, on Valentine’s Day no less, was quite weak. After we were seated, three different staff members stopped by to tell us they’d “be right back”, and, finally, our waiter did return to take our drink orders. The restaurant was maybe half full, so there wasn’t a huge crush of people. Then we ordered our whole meal and just waited, with empty drinks, for a long while. I was literally standing up to cancel our appetizer order when our food arrived. However, it was the main meal and they had forgotten to serve us our appetizers. It was pretty obvious that our food had been sitting a while since the Carbonara sauce was congealed and my Chicken Schnitzel was barely warm. As we were finishing up our main dishes, our waiter brought the check before even asking if we wanted dessert. All around a poor experience.
Server was good but they kept coming back telling us they were out of the beer we ordered. Finally just told him to being what they had. Ordered flank steak, took about 20 minutes to get. Portions were small. The chicken egg rolls were a little salty
WHAT a GREAT SURPRISE! We've been driving by this location for YEARS and JUST decided to give this restaurant a try! We were SUPER impressed with all things ECLECTIC and thrilled to find a restaurant that offers a menu with creative spirit, excellent preparation and presentation! What more could you ask?!
Five of us had an early dinner before an event next door at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. This was very convenient to the ABG, the staff were very nice and the meal was excellent. We’ll be back!
From start to finish, Matty took great care of us. Every dish was 5/5. Looking forward to our next visit.
Eclectic is a hidden gem
Outstanding food and service. Matty took excellent care of us at the bar, and the food was delicious. Nothing overtly fancy, but awesome flavors and expertly executed. The pasta pescatore was particularly delicious. Among the best we've had in ATL. Can't wait to go back and try the carbonara.
The food and service were really good.
Love Love LOVE this place. Matty is awesome! Great food and service.
I LOVE the gems over the bar! The food was delicious.
We found this gem via Groupon. The place is small and quaint. Service was very friendly. The pace of service was fine considering only 1 chef on duty and the food was delicious! The calamari was fresh and about the best I've had! My husband was happy with his Bistro Burger. I had the Cajun Pasta which was good but a tad spicy for me. Portion was plentiful. Prices are very reasonable! We plan to return...
Food was excellent fresh and out and the prices were reasonable. Will differently be going back!
Been there a few times. Food is excellent and prices are fair. Service is always good.
I took my wife there for our anniversary prior to going to the Botanical Gardens. The food was amazing! The music selection was a wonderful 90’s mix that set a perfect mood and the perfect volume for us to both enjoy while being able to converse well at a comfortable level. We will definitely be visiting again!
We did not like the food, and much of it went uneaten even though none of us complained while eating, and there were 5 of us.
Really nice people. Great location by the botanic garden. Highly recommended.
Food was delish! Fun Drinks! Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Come in a stranger leave as friends. Loved it!
Service was questionable at best. Seems to always be hit or miss, which is a shame because we love the food so much. The server seemed to be a tad bit in the weeds. Luckily the manager on duty jumped in and helped him out quite a bit when needed.
Great menu. Fun atmosphere. Definitely going back.
Have eaten here many, many times. The food cannot be beat, although it would be nice to add some new menu items. Skimpy drink pours of the past have been corrected.
Went there before going to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Made reservations for 5:30 and arrived on time. Dinning room was still dirty from a prior private event.
Food was very good but was disappointed that it took so long to come to the table. We were the first group in the restaurant but probably the last to get our food.
Parking is very limited but glad we arrived early to get a spot.
We had a great time at Eclectic for Sunday brunch. We were not aware of a gay parade/show so that was a bonus and much fun. The food was outstanding. It was not only delicious but plentiful and presented in a way that really made you hungry! We would go back for sure. We did ask that the music be turned down a bit so we could talk and they more than accommodated us. It was a fun meal.
Always super food and service. Drink Service has also improved with impressive pours.
Eclectic is always a great spot for a consistently good meal. Nice abiance, and never a wait...a hidden gem. My only complaint is the kitchen ventilation, I always leave there smelling like the kitchen grill. It doesn't seem to keep me away, though!
FOOD AMAZING! Great Service.. Great Menu. Prices Moderate.
After a change in ownership a few months ago, we weren't thrilled, but those issues appear to have been ones of adjustment. The key seems to be Matty's return; he's once again making sure things run smoothly, that the cocktails are delicious, and that guests enjoy themselves. Eclectic will once again be our Thursday night dinner destination in the neighborhood.
