   I recommend Eclair Bistro with hesitations. We went on a Saturday night in the early dinner hour. Many of the wines on the wine list were not available because the waiter said "we are out of them because our order did not arrive this week". We did select a wine, which was good and reasonably priced....but the waiter did break the cork in half while trying to pull it out. He left the cork on the table and I did not realize it broke in half until I found a small piece of cork in my glass. I should have detected this earlier and sent the wine back. But I did not find any more cork in my glass and my wife did not find any in hers so good ending. We were also told that Aaron Thomas the exec chef was out sick and mom and dad were in the back doing the cooking. That came about after asking if the restaurant had changed hands because we had not seen Aaron's mom or dad in the dining room area; which we have seen in the past. My wife's beef dish was perfect; my lamb was extremely undercooked and had to be sent back. It was taken back, no questions back and came back cooked better but still on the rare side; even for lamb which should have a pink center. Also, some deserts were also not available from the menu. We picked the lemon torte and it was excellent. So up and down and I would be hesitant to go back. Music was also loud in the dining area and would have preferred it a bit less so.

   I was a little concerned after reading other reviews, but everything else downtown was already booked and we had tickets for the musical at MPAC. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and our reservation was confirmed. The ambiance was very unique to downtown, but the music was a bit loud. (The restaurant wasn't very crowded so more people may help.) Our server (Camille) was very helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. She did a great job of keeping my water glass full (which is never an easy task) and our meals were hot and prompt. The Crab Cakes were delicious, and the steak Oscar was perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be back.

   Excellent service. Excellent food. Romantic, but "happening" restaurant and music bar.

   Didn’t love the new menu, not serving my favorite wine anymore (Gundlach Bundshu), they were out of crab cakes and not dong do any substitutions on the menu. Used to be one of our favorite restaurants.

   Food is delicious. I have never been disappointed in the food and my most recent visit was equally wonderful in that regard. The service however, is not so great. Although the servers are quite friendly and really "try", they just don't pull off very good service. Very slow in getting drinks and all courses. One drink came about 20 minutes after it was ordered. Meals were not brought out all at the same time. Minor, I know, but it wasn't that crowded so this should have been quite easy. The food is so good, I'll still continue to go back and recommend it to others!

   Great time! Music was amazing! Lights on table were not working which was disappointing but food was amazing!

   We never write negative reviews, but this was by far one of the most frustrating experiences we have had in a Dallas area restaurant. We have really looked forward to eating here and finally decided to celebrate 2 February birthdays here. The service was super slow. We waited over an hour to even get a drink or be acknowledged. The food was good, but not worth the wait. We had reservations, but we were not seated when when we arrived. There was no acknowledgement of why we were there, even when we mentioned the birthday celebrations again. Management was no where to be seen. Even though the “issues” with the service were acknowledged, there was no resolution. It does not seem like a unified team, and it appeared that there was little communication or leadership. The menu was abbreviated due to valentines week, and it seemed that was a good excuse for the lack of service and availability of some food. The upstairs bar and music (what time was remaining for the entertainment after we finished our meal) was great. We will likely go back to listen to music upstairs, but really don’t need to experience the restaurant again.

    We have been there a number of times. The 36 oz Ribeye for two was tender bet over cooked. Ordered Med Rare came back med well.
