Loved our seating option which made it very easy for us to converse. Three of us from different parts of the country all enjoyed our Atlanta time and a great meal at Ecco. We are still talking about that goat cheese appetizer - wow!
John was amazing!
The food was great! The drinks were not on point today. Several wrong orders and the bar was pretty slow to be honest
We never have a bad meal here. We love how the chef uses some unusual ingredients in his creations which are wonderful!!
Best overall experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. The complete package! Everything is great, but the fried goat cheese is a must.
I’ve been to Ecco before and really enjoyed my experience. This time, the food just didn’t meet expectations. My table ordered the goat cheese, which was good. The focaccia was good but came with a cauliflower dipping sauce the whole table agreed was absolutely terrible. I ordered the cavatelli, which was a huge mistake. The appearance was off-putting and the taste was strange. I was hungry, so I ate it without trying to think of its strange texture. Two of my friends had the tagliatelle, which was okay, but pretty watery. My other friend had the flatbread and was disappointed.
Service was good and attentive. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad night? Maybe this is just a place to enjoy wine and charcuterie? Either way, I won’t be back for a long time.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while...from start to finish. I true dining experience.
A great date night. We were going to The Fox Theatre and wanted to eat nearby. We parked between the two and it was an easy walk. Arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation and were seated immediately. The decor is nice, comfortable upscale modern. The service was impeccable Harold, our waiter took plenty of time to familiarize us with the menu, make suggestions for wine pairing with our meal. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and amiable. We started with the fried goat cheese and foccacia. Both were very good. I'm not always a huge fan of goat cheese, but this was spectacular. It was deep fried balls of cheese, about the size of a ping-pong balls, covered in honey and course ground black pepper. Absolutely delicious! We shared the apple, grape and arugula salad, also very good. For our main course I opted for the sea scallops. Portion was small, but after the starters, plenty. Also, our waiter explained the portion size before we ordered. Flavors were fresh and complex, vegetables/sunchokes added excitement to the dish while the scallops were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, sweet and delicious. My husband got the paparedelli pasta with pork marinated in a tomato sauce. It reminded me of some of the best linguine bolognese I've ever had... loaded with fresh basil, it was pure comfort food. Not what I would have ordered, but I'm probably going to crave it daily. Even though we didn't need dessert, we still had plenty of time to spare, and we're so glad that was the case. I ordered the chocolate torte with cream and apricots. AMAZING! Rich, perfect amount of sweetness, generous portion. I couldn't possibly finish it. Just perfect... my husband got the Bee Sting cake... This was pure heaven!!! I also had a cappuccino, which was very good, but tiny. It was probably just 4 or 5 oz, but had rich espresso and great foam. I could have easily consumed 3. Overall, it was a great night. Price before tip was $137. Not a cheap meal, but money well spent.
The service, food and ambiance at Ecco couldn’t have been better. From the wine recommendations to the food (the ricotta gnocchi was described to me as the chef’s pride and joy and did not disappoint) everything was impeccable.
Others have made many points in far greater detail than I, so suffice to say that I highly recommend Ecco and will return.
Too dark dining room. Votives in tables or small spit lights please! It’s very hard to read the menu.
Really phenomenal food, exciting menu, fantastic service. Loved it.
Why on earth I waited for a birthday celebration to return to ECCO Midtown is beyond me because the food is so good. My girlfriend and I enjoyed and incredible meal Saturday night to celebrate her birthday before a show. We started with a smoked fish appetizers that was smoked to perfection. That smoker you see when you walk in is not just for show. As we ate, we both kept making that “it so good face” at one another. We also shared a vegetable pasta appetizer that was as creative and it was delicious. The highlight of the meal was a whole trout that was locally sourced and cook to perfection. The diver scallops where a very close second, super tender and sweet. The experience was enhanced by a professional staff that orchestrate a great dining experience. Ecco Midtown is at the top of my list for a great meal and dining experience.
We had our waitress pick our whole dinning experience. Why not let someone do what they can do best and it was great. This is definitely the kind of restaurant to do that with.
Partner and I had an enjoyable dinner at ECCO this past week! We were in town from Tampa, FL and found this restaurant nearby where we were staying. Well rounded place!
Nothing particularly wrong with it, just too pricey for what it was. Menu seemed limited. With all the restaurant options in Atlanta, I feel no pressing need to return to this one, which is ultimately how I judge restaurants.
Ecco consistently offers great service and quality food. We had friends with us who had never been their previously and they were very impressed!
Loved it all - the staff, the ambiance, the food! Thank you!
Had reservations the Friday prior to this reservation and when we received drinks power went out. We had to leave only after paying for our drinks which was really irritating bc it was hard finding a restaurant on a Friday night for a friends birthday dinner. This time the food was great as always However the Service was Poor. Everytime we asked for more EVOO or Balsamic Vinegar or another glass of wine we would be finished with bread of completely finished with dinner. Just very disappointed. I live in Roswell and we have a tremendous amount of restaurants we will choose from no on. Just thought I’d let you know about the service
Food was ok. Service was very slow and the waiter was pushing certain items that really were not great. Not really impressed
Great food. Our server was wonderful and made the evening very nice.
Consistent food and always great food.
Been waiting dine at Ecco for a long time it was worth the wait
Ecco is one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It is also a great place to grab a bite before heading to the Fox Theatre. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and were touched by the personalized menu and special service!!
Food was great and a cool relaxing vibe. Nice wine menu.
It was too much service. Too much talking about all the food, drinks everything.
Ive been comkng to this spot since they opened and it never disapoints.
Ecco never disappoints! First class cocktails and wine list, wonderful menu and excellent service. Kudos to Eli who helped make our recent visit special, he thoroughly knows the menu and helped us make an excellent wine choice. The food though is where the restaurant shines. Although its hard to not order the Pappardelle, which is a favorite, the Bianca flatbread was delicious on this occasion.
It had been a while since we went to Ecco. It was as fabulous as always. The food & drinks were on point! The service & staff were professional, engaging, and attentive as expected! Thank you for maintaining the quality in ALL aspects of the business!
Amazing! Great service, great food, great wine!
Ecco gets better and better! Seafood seasonal menu is terrific.
The food and service was excellent. The only complaint is it was too dark to read the menu. Had to use cell phone light.
Good but nothing special. Really loud place. I would not go back
the Nantucket bay scallop risotto is a rare seasonal treat, plump sweet little gifts from the sea. It's part of their Sirens Of the Sea special menu, delightful!
Menu on web site different than what we found at restaurant. Wife’s Snapper was very mushy (they comped it)- server & manager said not frozen. Talapia? My swordfish was very dry, no flavor. Expensive. The salads were exellent. Charged for Italian bread! We were planning on a lovely evening - Not.
Had a little bit of a wait but the food was delicious & the staff were very attentive with our large group.
Our waitress M was very cold and not friendly as soon as we told her we would not order drinks. She never offered any information regarding specials until we asked. She passed us many times without taking our order but stopped by tables next to us. We had to ask her to take order from us.
We will definitely not going back to Ecco.
Didnt or wouldnt serve champagne in a flute , only wine glass. Said it was to release the flavor?
Limited menu, noisy, over priced.
Ecco offers such a unique culinary experience that never disappoints specifically the fried goat cheese balls and the piquillo braised beef peppers and of course the pappedella pasta!
