Dinner and a show at the Fox
We ordered 4 tapas style plates which came out in a really strange order. Smoked Trout (smoked is an understatement as it completely masked the trout taste), the fried goat cheese, then French fries (they are called pomme frites on the menu. They are not pomme frites. If you’ve been to Europe and had pomme frites don’t expect these to be anything more than French fries with mayo...not pomme frites which are double fried and served with pomme frites sauce.). Lastly
Our salad came out about 15
Minutes later while we sat with a plate full of French fries.
The boqerones that use to be in the menu were the best thing Ecco had going for it, sad they aren’t included anymore.
Our server wasn’t very nice and she came across as cold, inconvenienced, and haughty.
Overall a good experience. Service was very good but not over the top. I will say that the house cured prosciutto is to die for.
Dawn is an amazing server! She made excellent recommendations and made sure our dinner was a wonderful experience. I love how the kitchen switches up our favorite dishes each visit! Perfect place to go and try several dishes and share with a friend
Great service and great food. They’ve continued to do a great job.
Dawn and the wait staff are all amazing and the food is incredible. Thank you so much.
Outstanding. Keep up the great work
Stopped in near closing and the staff were incredible and the food and cocktails were amazing!
LOVED this place! We went he before prom started and the place was super nice and the staff was very friendly! The food was also really good and not super expensive. Definitely will be going here again next year.
It is like coming home. ALL the staff is exceptional, warm and efficient.
Sat outside which was nice but not sure if that impacted the temperature of the food. It was very tasty but not hot. Server recommended delicious mid-price wine called Vina Alberdi Reserva 2012 Rioja. Would go back but probably sit indoors to ensure food is served at proper temperature. They also have a location in ATL Airport if you want a delicious meal while waiting for a flight.
Very good food with excellent service. Tapas idea great and everything very good. Trout excellent and New York steak good flavor cooked perfectly but a little chewy for aged steak. Great value and will go back and skip steak.
Very Nice food and staff. A little noise. Modern italian.
Everything about the evening was delightful. Food was great, service on point and finally great coffee. Finished off a wonderful dinner with a Lavazza coffee/cortado.
Our server was great. We’re are sales managers and offered her a job based on her suggestive selling skills!
Great food, great service! Fried goat cheese balls are amazing. Definitely recommend Ecco for many types of occasions. Oh and great location too!
Had three visits here. Overall positive experiences, friendly staff but limited menu selections and they don't change much. I had the Anson Mills Peas as side dish last visit and far too salty. The lamb shank is always delicious.
The service was adequate. My entree was great — tender rabbit and gnocchi. The roasted cauliflower was undercooked. Overall, I like the ambiance of the new Buckhead location better.
Solid for Atlanta - not great, better than OK. Has all the standards, and does them well. We had an awesome server, took excellent care of us. We love the interior - you can converse, doesn't get stupidly loud. The open kitchen is super cool. Just a great space. The food is where it falls down a bit given the price point. It's Atlanta, though. They can't get too creative and out over their skis. I get it, but for the price, I'd like to be wowed a bit, experience something I haven't before. I do recommend it.
High quality food, great drinks, and excellent service. We did feel a little bit rushed, as the food came out super quickly, but we sat at our table for a while after finishing.
Harold was awesome! You have to eat the French fries and house made bread.
Better than ever. Everything we had was totally on point and perfectly prepared. Even the most simple pasta dish had intense flavors. We were both raving over the charred octopus. I also don’t remember the last time I had such a perfectly prepared piece of swordfish. It was served with roasted Brussel sprouts which was a great accompaniment. And the “bee sting” cake was light and not too sweet just the way I like it.
Service was good but took a long time for our food to arrive. Even after we were told our order would be there soon it still took almost 10 more minutes.
Great after work spot.
My first time at Ecco. Excellent !!! I will be back !!
Service was exceptional! Over the top , dessert great , drinks excellent , food good .
Overall the evening was great until we put in our dessert order. Coffee and after dinner liquors came--still no dessert. Second cup of coffee; still no dessert. After 20 minutes the waitress came by our table to apologize that the kitchen was backed up producing chartcutiere boards and that the same station produces the desserts. OK, more than 25 minutes for dessert to arrive to out table. How difficult is it to cut a slice of chocolate cake and dress the plate. Really??
As the location for our first date, I was hoping for an atmosphere that was quiet, but had a touch of intimate ambiance. Ecco delivered on both. In addition, the food was excellent. I love salmon, but only when it is done well. The salmon was prepared to perfection and the taste incredible. My date had the scallops, which were delicate, tender, and prepared to perfection without a "fishy" taste. For the final touch we enjoyed the chocolate cake with raspberry drizzle, and split a dish of olive oil, salted caramel ice cream. It doesn't sound wonderful, but the taste was amazing. This was my first time to visit Ecco, but it will not be my last.
Very knowledgeable waiter!
Outstanding food and service. We had a show to rush to and the waiter made sure everything happened to meet that schedule. The complimentary birthday dessert was super.
John was an absolute pleasure! I look forward to visiting again!
Dinner exceeded expectations, I ordered Swordfish with trepidation due to dry swordfish at other restaurants.
ECCO's was superb, moist & delish. My partner at dinner ordered scallops and was equally happy.
Great food & outstanding service. App's & wine recommendations were perfect.
Thank you, great evening.
Ecco was great! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I wish I had written down her name so I could give her a shout out. Highly recommend the meat & cheese board, fried goat cheese, and cocktails. We also enjoyed the ricotta gnocci and the flat breads.
Great as usual. Lauren is our fav server - awesome service.
The menu was extremely limited. There were very few main course options. The service was slow and somewhat awkward and the noise level in the restaurant made it difficult to hear the person across from me. The table setup against the wall had other customers only two feet away from us on either side, so we could hear both conversations while we were trying to eat. Overall, we had the flatbreads (mushroom and classic margherita) and they were alright.
Parked at the bar. Great services. Excellent food and presentation. Closed the deal!
Great food. A little loud for a business meal with more than 4 people.
Nice ambiance. Potentially excellent food but way over seasoned and way too much salt.
The raw mackerel was nicely done.
Great food and excellent service. Our waiter helped with wine selection directing us to an excellent Tuscan Red that was a fit what we were looking for based on simple questions on our likes and interests.
First time to Ecco Midtown; staff was very accommodating, as most folks there we're headed to nthe Fox for a show - they were able to made the dinner experience enjoyable, while being cognizant of our show time.
