Although the 3course menu was good, we felt a 2course would be far better, too much food for lunch. Great service and pleasant dining.

We were at E'cco to celebrate our first visit to E'cco almost years ago to the date. We have been many times during that period and the food is always brilliant - some very interesting flavour combinations, and the staff are excellent. Our first preference for special occasions.

Delicious food, wine and friendly staff. We loved it!

Time between courses got longer and longer, we had the reservation for 6.30pm (arrived at 6.25pm) and was served the last (5th) course at 9.40pm. We seemed to have been constantly overlooked as other tables who had arrived after us were served ahead of us. Food was nice and to be fair, the restaurant was very busy that night.

A beautiful dinner with simplicity, creativity and flavour being the key ingrediants to what was a fantastic meal.

Our second visit in 3 months, and the set menu was just as innovative, well presented and tasty as the previous one. We've never had a bad experience at e'cco yet. Long may that continue!

We had dinner recently for Valentines night & we frequently dine out.
Food was good.
Service was pretty unprofessional (like the staff have been there for too long & so it felt like they were just wanting to get through it).
Music was loud 80’s top hits, which was hardly fitting for a restaurant of this style &/or at all a romantic ambiance.
After letting a staff member know the music was too loud & not fitting, they told us to tell another staff member as it was their choice of music.
We paid at the table & were chased in the carpark as that staff member was unaware we had paid.
Perhaps if the front of house staff, were more professional & as such, communicated to each other, the experience would be greater than 3* star.

Food was amazing and suggested wines very well matched.

Fantastic food with a pescatarian option, great matched wine list and the service from our servers was exceptional - will definitely be back

Simply put, E’cco is one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. Food, wine, ambience, service and staff — all excellent. It’s become my go-to for celebrations and I really can’t send enough praise its way.

Ecco never disappoints. I requested some menu alterations in advance due to pregnancy and was presented with such wonderful alternatives. Amazing service even in a very busy and full period. Highly recommend.

Set lunch menu had two excellent choices for each course, well executed and delicious. Service seemed overwhelmed in the busy period and we had to flag someone down to remind about the bread course, get a top up of water, order a coffee.

Decor was subtle, welcome was kind, food was delicious.

Hadn’t been for 5 years before it moved. Really excellent. Will be going a lot more now.

We enjoyed the three course set menu on a Thursday night. Each course was delicious! The service is friendly and efficient. Can only highly recommend.

It’s sometimes a struggle for me with my dietary restrictions to try a degustation menu but you guys were amazing, thanks heaps. Would love to be back

We had a set menu with matching wines.

We went for the Friday special of $59 for three courses and we amazed at the value for money with the meal being exquisite. Cannot fault.

Fabulous place and food. Gnocchi is the standout dish.

Food, as usual, was brilliant. Our go to place in Brisbane for a special occasion. It's a bistro, so it's not about silver service and romantic surrounds but about great food and friendly and efficient service in smart premises. This is not pub food and you pay for delicious, interesting food made from the best ingredients but for my money, this is the best value in Brisbane and as good as any I have visited anywhere.

Our second visit to this top spot in the Newstead location. Loved it - balanced menu, great wine list and impeccable service..

Great menu delivered at a nice pace by relaxed people ! A degustation that includes Moreton bay bugs, wild mushroom risotto and lamb two ways and you can’t go wrong!

On point as ever. Simply delicious and delightful food.

The food was amazing, as per usual and the matched wines were beautiful as well. It's always fantastic at E'cco and this time was no different.

The service was good though the staff were obviously busy, and the wine selection was great (though a bit overpriced at $99pp for the premium wines given the short pours), but the food really lacked flavour the night we were in - except the mushroom risotto which was great. Beautifully presented, but disappointing flavour-wise.

Overall it was a bit average - walked away feeling like it was overpriced for what it was. Which is a shame as we were really looking forward to coming, and were big fans of the old Ecco. Interestingly, I spoke to two other long time fans of Ecco who agreed that the food doesn’t have the punch it used to.

Had an enjoyable time and the food was awesome. Sitting at the bar was an excellent setting to enjoy the ambience of the resturant.
