Ecco Ratings and Reviews
We love fifth group , but the restaurants are not consistent . As of this moment Lure is a fine oiled machine . I never know if Ecco is going to be on or off . My last meal was not what I ordered . BUT the grilled sardines were fantastic . The staff is very attentive but for the entrees it is hit or miss . So want to make it work . It is in our neighborhood ., We will keep trying .
Recently took my wife here for her birthday. I was blown away by the ambiance and the design of the restaurant. Very chic and cozy. Doesn’t feel too stuffy.
As for the food — AMAZING! There are great selections on the cocktail and wine lists. Their dinner menu is smart and nutritious that doesn’t belly you up too much. The waiter was very attentive and made certain to address all of our questions/needs.
I would highly recommend this place to couples for anniversaries/birthdays or a group of friends who want to gather after a long week. You won’t be disappointed!
Our group hadn't been to Ecco in years, but our memories of a great meal with excellent service and delicious food were right as we remembered. Our group enjoyed all the recommendations by our server - which was attentive without being overbearing or interuppting. There's plenty of reasons that this is an Atlanta classic.
The server was great; informative and attentive. Our entree was good, but not great. It was rather salty and lacked in some of the complex flavors from sister restaurants Alma and Lure, both of which have been outstanding in our semi-annual visits over the years.
The ambience is pretty, but very loud. Found it difficult to hold a conversation.
Ecco does it right. My son and I were there for dinner before a show. The staff was aware of the schedule, and made certain we were on time. The food is fantastic. The menu is fantastic. It is a very good atmosphere, an up-scale in-town feeling. My son was probably the youngest guest, at 28. I was probably the oldest guest at 59. I look forward to the next time.
While in Atlanta for business I took 3 client/friends to Ecco for dinner - had picked it based on excellent OpenTable reviews and those reviews were right! Our waiter, McGill, suggested we order drinks first (great selection of wines) and then he'd tell us about the menu... perfect advice because it gave us a chance to get comfortable and his review of the menu was worth the wait as he detailed lots of local ingredients (some grown in the rooftop garden!), interesting pairings and combinations, and a fair number of vegetarian options. We picked 4 shareables to start, all portions were generous and all were outstanding. We all selected pasta mains and again, all were superlative. The comfortable u-shaped seating facilitated sharing and conversation, and the sound level was pleasantly low for a busy room, so we could talk without shouting. McGill was attentive, professional and friendly. Will definitely go back next time I'm in ATL!
My Name is Manise P, I was at ECCO with my future Husband DEC 22 it was a great experience fro service, food we hard a great time,we were very happy our sever CHASE WAS GREAT!IT was so good I went back with my girl friend for her birthday Sunday 1/07 they were so Happy they asked to go back again.IF you want to come I TELL you you'll always want to go back guest what isn't even expensive.
Not our first time to Ecco. The food and wine was first rate as usual. Had two of the specials, a rabbit/pasta dish and venison chops. Had to wait a little long on the chops but Mike our server was great. He came through with a complimentary trout and brussel sprouts in balsamic glaze side dish which was outstanding! Mike was very knowledgeable and attentive not only with us but with several other tables around us. When we go back and if Mike is working, we will ask for one of his tables.
We were placed this time at a communal table with a small divider on it. The other half of the table was having a very good time talking very loud and banging on the table, which was a bit unpleasant for us to have a conversation. Otherwise the food was as good as usual.
So consistently great! Love this place! Cured meats & cheese (Mobay: SO good!) plus fried goat cheese followed by San Marzano flat bread & the pappardelle. The food and service were flawless as usual. Derek was personable and so helpful with his wine knowledge and recommendations. Had dinner with my long-time friend who comes through town to visit from up North when he's on his way to Florida every so often. Every time he wants to go to ECCO and I'm always so happy he doesn't want to even try anywhere else! The only thing that I didn't care for on this visit though was the $5 lot fee for valet service. Admittedly it's been a while since I visited but every time previously, valet was free as long as you went to ECCO and then I would tip the valet. This time the valet said it was $5 and then I tipped on top of that.
