What Insiders Are Saying
The food at Eberly isn't yet destination-worthy, but the place is worth stopping by for the people watching alone.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here! Everything was perfect!
Ordered the oysters & was very DISAPPOINTED! smallest oysters I've ever seen in my life - 6 for $22? I was robbed big time! I won't return.
Eberly is a dream. I will always come here for my special occasions because the service is incredible! The food is always delicious, they have a sommelier that can help you with wine, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Can’t go wrong with this place!!
Everything was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!
Liked everything about Eberly a lot except, unfortunately, the food. It wasn't bad, just not exciting or particularly good.
Our server Jordan was EXCELLENT!!! The special touches they did to make my birthday rememberable, were over the top. There was a dish that was no longer on the menu, but they worked their magic and made it happen. Thanks y’all, we will certainly be back.
We went here for our anniversary brunch and everything was outstanding, to the service, the food and the environment. The servers knew it was our anniversary and congratulated us and they sat us at a very special table. Although, I don’t think there was a bad spot in the place! It was beautiful.
Everything was good! They even allowed me to get some yuzu kosho on the side along with my salmon. Great experience!
Excellent service by the waitstaff and the food was amazing as always. Thank you.
Absolutely gorgeous space and friendly staff, so this would be a great venue for a date and cocktails, but the food was pretty lackluster for brunch. I didn't finish my frittata because it was overcooked and flavorless.
Great cocktails, very attentive service (too attentive?), beautiful space, all dishes ordered were delicious.
The grill octopus was amazing!!
Loved our experience at Eberly! We had some great bites and awesome service.
You must try the mussels! Focaccia bread, yum! Everyone so nice. Wonderful table, food, drinks, and service.
It was a wonderful spot for an anniversary. We had the poke, Mac and cheese, and carrots to start. And we had the salmon and squash for entrees. All the food was so amazing. And the drinks were elevated takes on prohibition style cocktails. The waiters were always attentive and paced the meal quite well. The dessert - chocolate creme brûlée - was beautiful and so tasty.
Great overall experience. Will be back!
The ambience, service and decor is great. The food was just good, not very good and not great. Austin has become such a foodie town that anything good and under is average. I expected more however I might go back for drinks, probably not for dinner though.
Great spot. Freezing cold at brunch...over air conditioned in green house space.
Came here for breakfast. We would have liked to have been seated in the Atrium, and I asked the hostess. She told me that has to be requested when making reservation. Since the Atrium was relatively empty the whole time we were seated against a wall in our cramped booth, I'm not sure why they couldn't accommodate my request.
The food was decent, but its not so difficult to poach a couple of eggs and make a pancake. The home fries were good though. The waitress didn't refill my coffee. No real reason to go back. Nice bathrooms. Its like a row of doors and they say vacant or occupied. But I think someone forgot to lock the door because as I was washing my hands I heard someone open one of the doors and say "Ooops sorry" .
Very cool place to take your date.
Appetizers were great as well as the cocktails, but the entree was well executed but was flat.
I was so excited to bring my friend here because I’ve tried the cocktails once and they were delicious. But for dinner it was a disappointment. I made reservations for 8:30pm and it was suggested by the hosts (who were all really nice) to sit outside to be seated before our reservation. My friend and I sat on the patio for 20min and was not greeted at all... my friend even asked the hosts where the server was and they told us she should be outside...when the server finally came out she greeted two other tables that came after us and didn’t acknowledge us at all with menus or waters. We ended up going back inside and sitting at the bar. Bartender greeted promptly and was friendly. However it left a bad taste in my mouth since the experience wasn’t what I had hoped for.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, terrific service !
My wife and I went there for our anniversary and our server Brandon was very accommodating.
The appetizer mussels and salad were great, and the entrees were delicious as well.
Nice, cozy ambiance in a relaxed environment.
It was a great experience overall. Our guests were in town visiting from New Orleans (my hometown as well)....the fine dining hospitality bar is set very high for us.
We took a few minutes to walk around and get the story on the architecture design , the bar spaces and catering room. The staff and manager were very accommodating and didn't seem to be bothered at all. Although it's a bit pricey, everything was excellent and worth the extra money for the staff to be empowered to make the experience memorable. Just what the fine dining industry needs in Austin... One word...hospitality! Thank you Eberly.
Service was awful. It was freezing and they charged us $3 for the ice in our scotch. Unacceptable.
Our group of 8 was well attended. Service was friendly, easy going but prompt. No problems and no whining about 8 separate checks. Very smooth.
Good drinks, great food. The bread (foccia) was some of the best I’ve ever had. Scallops were beautifully plated and gorgeous. Desserts were all spectacular.
Biz dinner. Swayed in library. Nice vibe. Loud. Great food and service. The octopus appetizer is amazing as is the Elyse Cab.
We always have a terrific meal at Eberly!
I loved the design of the place. I would prefer it if they added a regular margarita to the cocktail list but it was nice to try something different. I will definitely come back.
It was a celebratory dinner that needed a little extra care. We were given a booth that helped with 2 guests's hearing problems. For my birthday there was an added surprise, quite good. The food was delicious and our waiter was fun and very good professionally. I also love the bar and sometimes just hang out and eat there.
The service was excellent! The food was really good, and the portions were good sizes too. Not too much, but not too little.
We loved Eberly. The ambience, service and food were exceptional. Our server, Katie, was friendly and attentive. She helped make our experience special. Start with the focaccia if you like bread. It’s excellent. The chicken and salmon were perfectly cooked and flavored. We’d order those dishes again. Make sure to finish with the Apple bread pudding. It’s amazing!!!
The meals at the restaurant were not good and overpriced. No one liked their dinner.
The restaurant is outdated.
The bar and the atrium were really nice. Will go back for happy hour only.
Great food, service and ambiance. A beautiful restaurant. Every bite was delusions. Even though it was busy, it was quiet enough to have a real conversation. Our server, Brandon, was fabulous. I love that they bring your check in a paperback book. Highly recommend.
Jordan was just great - service was excellent - plus all the attention from the additional wait staff - really did enjoy the food - serving sizes were just right - we'll be back -
Food was fair. Decor / ambiance was very cool, especially the greenhouse dining room. Service was just ok. I’d probably go back for drinks, but unlikely to eat here again.
We sat in the atrium room with bookcases along the walls. It was an pleasant change from the typical restaurant table location. Food a little over priced but was very good
