Our daughter was so surprised that you can make your own pizza at your table! She keeps asking to go back again. Good food with a nice bar scene but not too noisy. Just a really cool place to chow down with a nice , varied menu. We will be back….
Fun place and exciting menu -- good food. A hidden gem -- definitely we'll be back with friends.
We eat here often (no pun intended). Last night I went all in and had the bacon wrapped fried hit dog with bernaise sauce called the heart attack! WOW
I also had a cup of French onion soup also very good.
My wife had the lobster tacos which were great. They don't skimp on the lobster.
We topped dinner of by splitting a creme brulle. Well executed also.
Will be going back soon for their blackened grouper.
As locals, my husband and I often entertain guests at area restaurants. We've now been to enough places on and off Siesta Key to know that Eat Here is a cut above the rest when it comes to the quality of what comes to the table. The menu is a bit eclectic, but it always offers something new each time we visit. While I'm drawn to the healthier seafood options, my husband can't resist the comfort food dishes like pot roast, meatloaf and steak. The congenial staff, artistic ambience and superb wine list are bonuses.
Great food but a very noisy restaurant. Not suitable for conversation. Particularly liked the salmon with horseradish sauce and the scallops from the daily specials in a tomato sauce. Cajun dusted Grouper was disappointing - lacked flavor.
This was the first time that I have eaten here. We had a ball. The service was prompt and courteous. The Pineapple pomegranate martinis were very tasty. The food portions were medium/large. The Lobster tacos were a hit.
From the pomegranate pineapple martini to the Tempura'd Beets, drinks and food are treated with originality and sense of fun. There's a diverse selection from filling comfort food to kale salads and grilled fish fillets. Our favorites are the Better Bruschetta, Seattle Style Grilled Cheese and the fish specials they have every day. Don't over order, portions are huge. Lively atmosphere, gets a little noisy when totally full. They have big tables for families and groups. One of the best in the area.
We really appreciate being able to make a reservation, especially here on the Key
We were seated immediately and the server was there explaining the menu and asking for drink order. Our companions had a few problems with their order, we on the other hand had no problem. Food was tasty and served at correct temperature. Because of Agee large parties the noise level was higher than normal. Server and hostess did everything to make it good.
My favorite place to eat in Siesta Key.....service outstanding, food outstanding......they understand how to please customers. Didn't have the bottle of Prosecco we wanted, brought us a better bottle at the same price.
I go back again and again.
A great Siesta place to dine. It is a little out pf the way but a very good menu with lots of great upscale comfort food. A great option in Siesta Key!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. It's a very nice place to eat.
It was a quiet cool evening. The French onion soup and pot roast hit the spot. Felt like home.
The waiter was courteous and friendly but the service was slow especially since it was a quiet
Lobster in the tacos were quite tough and chewy Fish taco had strong fishy odour. My wife's vegetable dish was made up of mostly mashed sweet potato. Our guest mixed seafood dish quite soupy.
I ordered the special Snapper dish . The cost was high but I thought it sounded worth it . Very disappointed . The meal was clearly prepared in advance , the mash was dry and discoloured on the outside and the fish was slso dry and tasteless . It seemed as if it had been cooked ealier and then warmed up . If we had not been with company I would definately have sent it back . I am hesitant about eating there again . It was not a busy night so perhaps the turnover was not quick enough and the food was standing around .
Great food, great service, excellent lunches and dinners.
Everything on the menu is delicious. Beet appetizer is awesome. All entrees are made with lots of care. Found this gem last year. Kids love the make your own pizza. Fish tacos are heavenly. Recommend to anyone wanting great food and drinks at reasonable prices. (A rarity in today's climate)
We have eaten here twice and on both occasions the food and service has been first class. A varied menu with interesting specials and a better than ordinary wine list. Worth a visit for the Bruschetta alone!
We enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish. Our waitress (Skylar) was very knowledgeable and fun!! The Smoked Fish Grouper Dip was delicious. We have tried other versions of the Fish Dip in the past and been very disappointed. I had the Mussels dinner and my husband had the Pot Roast. The portions were ample and my husband had a nice leftover for lunch the next day! We definitely will visit Siesta Key or Anna Marie in the future.
was recommended by a friend and managed to get a chance to try it . Excellent. Good value and and good food. Had a excellent grouper plate, everyone at the table was very happy with their choices
The food at Eat Here is great and unusual. Dominic our server was terrific. He even asked our names and made an effort to remember them.
This is one of the best spots to eat on the Key. We only wish they had Sunday Brunch, or lunch time service. If they did, we would be there at least twice a week.
Had an outstanding meal with family from out of town party of 6. Every entree got a rave. The Tempura Beets and Fish Spread as starters, were real pleasers. Service was great. The menu used to be somewhat confusing; new menu format is a great idea. Creme Brulee desert is perfection. Cute interior - only negative might be, a bit noisy, and perhaps a bit pricey, but I am not complaining. I would say, this is the best place to dine in the Village, bar none.
Food was very good, creative, perhap$ a bit too creative for the average vacationer family ..salads @ $10 up ..should be a winner with locals.. if they can keep those children at the kiddy tables quiet. Tables very close, expect to hear your neighbors vacation plans and divorce issues. We will return because it has some of the best food in the area.. but they need to work on ambiance. especially in off season with a half filled seating all crammed together in one half of the total space.. very waiter friendly perhaps.. but not for patrons. Empty tables in adjacent large open room were "off limits". Really? Whose dumb idea was that? Next time we will sit outside and enjoy the relative peace of the ocean breeze. Excellent service.
I really had great expectations given the parent restaurant, Beach Bistro, one of the finest around. I'd say the meal was moderately edible. The fish was way too overly seasoned with salt; the corn dish was overcooked, reheated and dry; and the kale salad was a yawn. Too bad. Eat Elsewhere.
Eat Here! in the Siesta Key Village is a true hidden gem. I have always wanted to dine there because the menu read fresh, hip, new and affordable! And any place that prides itself on a Seattle Grilled Cheese or Heart Attack Hog Dog has GOT to be good, and it was. I'm not going into the details of our night because it was our anniversary and Eat Here made it .......perfect. The service, the ambiance, the food and location were spot on. The interior of the restaurant is engaging and fun. The chef obviously is passionate about his/her craft because we left that night more in love than ever. Eat Here. I cannot wait to go back!
We had eaten at the location on Main at and loved the style and ambiance. We enjoyed the food as well. The one on Siesta was not where close to that. Nothing really stuck out as wonderful for the price you pay. Fish cakes we a bit bland. My friend ordered the salmon which was dry. Our gulf shrimp was nice and flavorful, as well as the coffee rubbed tenderloin, but each was served simply on a bed on okay mashed potatoes. Would have expected somthing more upscale and with better flavor for the price. The website mentioned happy hour only to be told you had to sit at the bar! Which it did not specify online. The specialty drinks were to sweet with not much kick. We skipped dessert to go somewhere else fearing that it would also be just ok.
Eat here restaurant was a great find everyone enjoyed there food & wine & service. On a score of 1-10 I give it a 10
I truly enjoyed my first visit to "Eat Here/Siesta Key" Many enticing menu choices and mine (seafood stew) more than lived up to the written description. Kale appetizer sounded yuk, couldn't get enough! Waiter was a pro (refreshing change) besides being sincerely friendly. Dark decor, 'edgy'; take a minute at the door and pick your own table: there are some cramped quarters. Charge me more but do not serve a weak cocktail (a disappointment). So, food is the definite strong point: it would be strong in any location; Siesta Village? Really? Oh yes!
We went to Eat Here with another couple (who had never been there before) ordered cocktails & proceeded to order our choices. I stated I was not very hungry and just wanted the Caesar salad ($10) and could the kitchen possibly add a bit of chicken, shrimp, or salmon to it. Our waited said no, but suggested I order the "lite" choices(meaning small plates) and he could then turn that little salad into a caesar. Upon receiving it, there was a huge piece of salmon on the plate and a small, overly dressed, salad. And the price was $28. We didn't realize this until we got our bill. Pretty much of a shocker---and totally misrepresented. I'm not sure we'll eat at eat here again.
We had a great dinner. Started with the kale/kenwa combo then had the lobster/shrimp tacos and finished with the creme brulee! They also have a yummy pineapple infused vodka that went nicely with my meal. Will go back again!
We really enjoyed our dinner starting with the delicious Kale and Quinoa salad! The ribs were tasty and tender with the most yummy fries that may have had a bit of sprinkled truffle oil. The salmon dish with the flavorful corn cake was also very good. We were happy foodies!!!
Our recent visit was our second time at Eat Here and we were NOT disappointed. This dining experience is as extraordinary as the beach. Eat Here offers an eclectic menu that is off the beaten path from the standard fish and chip combo. We thoroughly enjoyed fresh Serendipitous Salad followed by the Seattle Style Grill Cheese. This is NOT your elementary school Bunny Bread/plastic-wrapped American Cheese kind of sandwich. The meal was hardy and savory with beautifully-melted cheese housed in between 2 golden-toasted homemade slices of bread. The service was superb! The entire staff was attentive without being intrusive and patient with our questions. Eat Here isn't a suggestion; it's a directive you won't forget and will not regret.
Great food. Lots of choices to mix and match. Super service.
It was our first time...made our reservation through open table with request to be near a window with a view. Had a wonderful time..food, waitstaff atmosphere...will definitely dine there again. Loved being able to see the kitchen as well...chefs were top notch!
Eat Here said I could call them at 1PM to make a reservation or use their web site. Unfortunately, their website goes to Open Table, which said I couldn't get a reservation for a table of 8 at 5:30 for 2 months. I tried to make 2 reservations for tables of 4 and couldn't do that either. I called Eat Here at 1:00 and a cheerful voice answered and took my reservation. I could hear her smile over the phone!
Everything we had was fantastic! From the brushetta appetizer to the swordfish entree my husband chose (which he raved about & trust me, he's not a man to rave) to the lobster & shrimp tacos I had were terrific! My watermelon mojito was great as well. Can't say enough good about this place. Our server was spot on as well.
One of best options in Siesta Key Village- shrimp & lobster tacos were very good- tempura beets missed the mark. Nice space with plenty of seating although it felt a little empty as there were about 5 tables in use on Friday evening- and they have their own parking lot as well as a free lot next door. I would go back - great for a light meal after a day at the beach.
I have to admit I was disappointed that two of my absolute favorite dishes were not on the menu and when asked was told they were discontinued.
The shrimp-cargo and the tomato blue cheese soup! Please, please, please bring them back!!!!
For the prices that Eat here charges, you would think that they would have a slightly better quality silverware. 2 out of the 3 silverware settings at our table were dirty. No bread basket or extras.... My "lighter fare" salmon was the size of a child's portion, opted out of the corn side that came with it and got the green beans, which were very good.
The shrimp and lobster taco were good.....
Definitely not impressed, especially compared to the one downtown SRQ that had the rooftop bar with Twinkle entertaining. That was the place for happy hour and dinner afterwards with live music.
Will not be back.
First trip to the Siesta Key Eat Here. Our experience was wonderful, food as awesome as ever. We will return!
