Easy Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Oysters were a fabulous selection! Service was great, thanks Chris L! Interior is formal but feels casual, hard surfaces make it a bit loud. Cocktail menu offers unusual flavor pairings, a nice treat hard to find. Menu is complex and plated exquisitely, but there is more focus on innovation & styling than satisfaction from a plate. The seasonal green salad (bibb, asparagus, celery, etc) was the star of the meal, as the other dishes were just slightly unbalanced. I could have used a salt shaker on the table. Filet wasn't a medallion, but was crusted beautifully; the steak sauce plated under was too aromatic. Tuna steak served extra rare--a beautiful consistent 1/8" light gray ring, but left a want for a golden sear. Plated with blood orange, black garlic, cashew & fennel...none of these substantial enough to act as a side. Interesting plate, but not particularly satisfying. We chose cocktails over wine, but the wine list is extensive and award winning. Opted out of dessert when the other dishes were less than extraordinary; we rounded out with a $160 tab before tip (2 cocktails, 1 beer, salad, steak tartare, 2 entrees). A nice meal for a special occasion, but left us foodies wanting for more.
Food was good but my steak initially came out medium rare when I ordered medium well. The food took so long I was too hungry to care. I was going to eat my sides and take the steak home to cook for lunch the next day. However, the waiter noticed the discrepancy and got me a new really great tasting steak. The doneness was uneven though. If cooked properly, this would have been a great dish.
Before we got our meal a waitress came by and put food on our table. My meal was wrong so my fiancé didn’t touch his meal until we figured out what was going on. Another random waiter came by and asked if he could take our plates. What? He took the plates from us and took them to another table. He didn’t bother to ask if we had ate any of it, sneezed on it, yikes! We didn’t but I would have not accepted food from someone else’s table.
Also while we’re waiting for my steak our waiter commented that he wouldn’t take our appetizer since we were still waiting on the entree. Thanks? We were still eating it.
Bad experience compared to the first time I went here. The food is good if prepared right but the service is subpar compared to the food.
We wanted to go somewhere special for Valentines Day so we drove to Chattanooga. We have eaten at Easy Bistro before and we’re really impressed. The meals were great but it was the service that made the night for us. Our waiter was so professional and seemed to really care about our food and our comfort.
Our only compliant was that the table was very tiny and the music loud and intrusive to a nice romantic dinner.
As has typically been the case, our recent experience at Easy Bistro was delightful. Excellent, friendly service combined with creative and most tasty cuisine, enhanced by a good selection of adult beverages made for an outstanding Valentine's evening for me and my wife.
We were seated promptly at the tables along the back wall. We were so close to other diners however that it was hard to have your own conversation for hearing all of their conversations. The servers also had to stand in between the tables putting their backsides awkwardly inches from your food and drink. Otherwise, we enjoyed the meal tremendously. My husband had the steak frites with fries and I had the brisket with crushed potatoes. Both were beautifully presented and delicious.
We went here on a recommendation from a local. We found the food to be delicious ~ not exactly what I was expecting. It was more comfort food, a little heavy, but the portions were smaller and the salads were a nice accompaniment. It's a lovely room. Enjoyable evening all around.
We had a wonderful meal at Easy Bistro starting with 2 delicious starters: artichoke and crab dip and duck and sweet potato spread. My squash soup was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended. Shrimp and grits were good, but I have had better, the reason for only 4 stars for the food, but daughter's mussels were a marvel.
Our server was extremely helpful, describing the food choices and answering questions.
Only criticism was the noise level - definitely LOUD!! So, not a romantic getaway or even an appropriate selection for conversation but a fun place with an interesting and delightful menu.
We always love our experience at Easy Bistro. We travel to get here & are always welcome as soon as we cross thru the door. Chef Erik’s menu is on point. Cocktails & wine list to match. We always have our kids with us & they love it as much as we do. We’re thankful to have found this gem in Chattanooga!
I'm local and regrettably don't think about dinnerEasy Bistro enough!!
My husband, myself and another couple had a fabulous dinner! Everything from the cocktails, the appetizers and our main course....OUTSTANDING!
We decided that it would be our "go to" from now on.
One of my favourite restaurants in downtown Chattanooga. Tonight the service was a little slow - but we had raw oysters - fresh, and tartare - tasty, but under portioned compared to previous experiences. The steaks and block sirloin were cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent with the exception of frites that were slightly overlooked. Enjoyable time and a great downtown location.
Hostess made us feel very welcome and we were seated in a good location within the restaurant. Server very knowledgeable about menu and described each dish to us in detail making us want all of items on menu. Presentation most appealing and food was delicious. Staff knew were were going to the show at the Tivoli and mad sure we had adequate time. Lovely evening!!!
We LOVE Easy Bistro and dine there whenever we are in Chattanooga. Their food is first rate; we especially like their oysters with Mignonette sauce. We lucked out as our last visit was on a Thursday and Blue points were just 50 cents!!! I won't tell you how many we ate, but we did save room for the duck confit, which was luscious! They have a great selection of wine, well-curated, and not the "same old" stuff you find most places.
