Eastside Bar & Grill pays homage to the upmarket dining experiences of New York, nestled within a heritage listed warehouse, evoking the atmosphere of New York’s famed meatpacking district.

At Eastside you'll find incredible seafood and the finest cuts of meat that have been dry-aged in-house and prepared on the beautiful custom-built Parrilla wood-fire grill by Head Chef Sebastian Plazas and team.

Dark, sexy and theatrical, the restaurant features a leather paneled bar with bronze back bar display. A custom brass light fixture, a runway of herringbone flooring and an assortment of steel and leather chairs, marrying the existing raw structure of this 100-year-old building.

Steaks weren’t cooked properly priced too much for the proportion steak fries aren’t “ to share” as they say. it’s priced too much for a cup of chips and the restaurant ended up having a stench smell similar to my cats breath

The service was excellent. The steaks were perfect. The fish was beautifully done. My youngest son loved your mash. The desserts were sumptuous. Ans the wine complemented the dishes we had perfectly. We enjoyed everything that was served. Thank you for the lovely dining experience.

Greeted with super friendly waiters amongst a modern yet rustic feeling style, with a charming candle to helo set the laid back mood. The food was delicious, easily the best steak we have had in Sydney. The Sirloin, brisket, and rump were so good, finding a way to somehow outclass the rest of the delicious offerings, sauces and salads. We were so impressed with the deliciousness of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and overall experience, we are heading back on Monday again! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great steak experience!

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the service. We started with tap water as we are Non drinkers for religious reasons. The men at my table had their water glasses refilled and I was the only one that didn’t. The waiter then proceeded to fill the moth water bottles instead of offering me water. We left after our tomahawk and fries and went downstairs to another restaurant for dessert and coffee..

I’ve never written a bad review in my life but I was most disappointed with this experience. I was really looking forward to dining at East Side Bar & Grill for Valentine’s Day, but unfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite deflated. To start, we waited an hour just for our starters, which was already frustrating. When they finally arrived, the prawn dish was extremely underwhelming—there was barely any prawn to actually eat, and for the price, I expected much more. My boyfriend and I decided to upgrade to the Tomahawk steak for an additional $30 per person, assuming it would be a generous and satisfying portion. However, we were left feeling disappointed and still hungry. The plate was mostly fat, and realistically, there was barely enough steak for one person, let alone both of us. We love eating steak out, but this was one of the most disappointing we’ve had, especially considering the price. The only redeeming part of the meal was the dessert, which I genuinely enjoyed. But overall, I left feeling like I could have had a much better experience elsewhere for the same (or even less) money. To add to the frustration, my glass of wine was taken away before I had finished, and I had to ask for it back—mistakes happen, but it just added to the overall letdown of the evening. For a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, I was expecting a great meal and a memorable experience, but instead, I walked away feeling like I had wasted my money. I honestly wish I had just stayed at home and cooked something I actually enjoyed.
