Service was amazing, great cocktails, but food was mediocre.
Enjoyable Sunday brunch. The menu offers a variety of traditional breakfast selections and many lunch options too. A full drink menu is offered with some signature drinks that you'd see at a brunch.
Had dinner before a Red Sox game. Excellent service and food. Highly recommend.
The service was great and the service was excellent.
Great food good service, stopped in for a bite before a red sox game was very satisfied.
Waitress’s knowledge of the menu completely on spot and very helpful!
I’m a long-time customer. Very good food. Servers and bartenders are tops.
Food was not very good... drinks were mediocre... service was slow and lacking. To top it all off we were visited by a mouse or two by our table... unacceptable for a restaurant in this price range... will not return
Always amazing food and service. Attentive staff and many options.
Cozy atmosphere, great food
Went to have a mice dinner with my girlfriend. There was a mouse running around on the floor during our meal. We told the host that “we had a great meal however we were put off that there was a mouse running around on the floor in the dining area”. The Host did not like that I brought this up and said he knew about it but clearly wanted us to leave. I have a video of the mouse running around as well. I hate to post this but I was upset that the host did not apologize or even seem concerned.
Simply outstanding! Great service & attention to detail.
Great restaurant short walk from Fenway. We went after a game and glad we did. Energetic though refined place, much nicer than the other sports bars near Fenway. Food, service and drinks great. I had flat iron steak which was great but one bite of my wife's burger made me wish I'd ordered it. Was really great. Salad options slightly limited only downside. Definitely would recommend.
We went for dinner prior to heading to Fenway. Have done this in the past. The mussel appetizer was so delicious. The broth outstanding. Attempted to get recipe but to no avail. Lol.
Both entrees, bass and salmon, were cooked perfectly.
Service was attentive but not bothersome.
ES also serves a wonderful breakfast.
Eastern Standard is my favorite for every occasion or no occasion at all. It’s always a wonderful experience! Thanks!
Food was cold, poorly seasoned and service was slow. I never had this experience before at Eastern Standard, but it was very disappointing. It was a Monday night.
Great seafood, great location, great service!
I had the classic burger, it was quite dry. Fried calamari was really nice though
Good wine. Delicious dinner. Amazing desserts
I went here with a group to celebrate our friends’ engagement and Eastern Standard made the night very special! Zimu was beyond accommodating and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Salmon was cooked perfectly!
Service was impressive. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and provided wonderful recommendations on the menu. Oysters were a hit as was dessert!! Our main course was fine, nothing to rave about. We had the chicken and ribs.
Food was good, but waited 1.5 hours for the entree and was told this was because the burger was ordered medium instead of rare!
This was the perfect place to go before the Red Sox game. We ate from the mid-day menu as our reservation was for 3:45. The food reasonably priced and delicious. We really enjoyed the interior design and the wait staff was very efficient and friendly.
great food drinks and location!
Our first time there, before Red Sox game for brunch on the weekend. Figured it would be busy which it was. Food was good, steak frites that two of our party got was delicious. Service was poor. Waited about 15 minutes before our waiter even approached us for drinks and then another 20 before he asked for our order. My brother in-law order a pretty pricey glass of wine and when he pours it at table , pour was about three ounces, what's up with that???? Waiter seemed like he could care less to be there and he was doing us a favor waiting on us. So bad........ nothing else to say!
Late lunch prior to the Boston Red Sox afternoon game with the New York Yankees was excellent. Sheyna, our server, was both professional and accommodating. Cocktails, entrees, as well as dessert were excellent. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating and is perfectly located in Kenmore Square to have an excellent meal prior to attending a baseball game at Fenway Park. Highly recommended - and the Sox beat the Yankees!
Service —spotty at best. Entire restaurant needs a major scrubbing—dirty and smells like stale beer. Wouldn’t go back...FWC
Perfect for a fun dinner with friends
Great food and atmosphere as it was game day! Will definitely be back!!
Excellent cocktails, friendly knowledgeable staff, always great food! Our happy place for comfort food and creative drinks.
Food and service was terrific as always. My only complaint is they no longer have the bearnaise sauce that goes with the steak frites. That was the best part of the dish. Please reconsider.
We always love dining at Eastern Standard. Definitely our dining spot prior to Red Sox games, but also other times of the year. The GM and staff are always very attentive to our every need--they make us seem special--that plus super food preparation makes for a nice evening.
First time dining at ES and I will definitely come back! It was my husband's birthday and I treated him to a Red Sox game and dinner at ES was a special touch to the evening.
Excellent bar selection and service. The food was wonderful, you definitely cannot beat the bread pudding, outstanding!
I typically love this neighborhood place. Always great food and cocktails inside, but not last night.
We sat outside last night and the dishes were not great. We had a scallop ceviche which had very large pieces of scallop and wasn’t as cold as should be.
The rigatoni was over salted, and my salad came with dressing that was so thick it couldn’t be mixed.
Our cocktails weren’t full and took about 20 minutes.
Odd because inside I always have a great experience!
We finished the night at the bar, where as always, the bartender was attentive and made beautiful cocktails.
Best placer in Boston of you want an assortment of sauces for your Oysters!
Lovely Friday night dinner - been here plenty but was the husband’s first time. Delectable food and excellent service. Love the Sophisticated Lady - a delightfully refreshing mocktail on a stiflingly balmy summer night.
Awesome food and awesome atmosphere. Seriously LOUD though
Dark, loud, and crowded. I made a reservation for 7 a week in advance and we were seated at a round table meant for 5. Pricey for average food. Service was slow.
