Always enjoy dining here, especially on the outdoor patio. Good place to dine after an afternoon game at Fenway Park
Pre baseball game brunch
Wonderful gem near Fenway that is perfect for a pre-game Red Sox meal. Staff are attentive yet barely noticeable and leave you feeling well taken care of. Our server was very friendly to my 6 year old nephew and even knelt down to talk with him about his food order. Lovely place.
A great overall experience. Great food and service. A little pricey but expected for the area.
Great staff from hostess to waitstaff. Reserved table ready when we arrived. Dinner was great
The hostess was delightful, extremely friendly and very accommodating. Our server was very nice and pleasant, but there was longer than needed waits to be greeted, for our first round of drinks to come out and follows up/check ins especially when it came to taking our order for our main course. There was also a slight hiccup when it came time to pay the bill. There was a specific way we needed to split the check, yet another random employee who we didn’t see up until that point rushed over to grab the cards and without saying a peep or asking us a thing ran to the card machine to run the two cards which we knew would not work if his plans was to split it down the middle. I found that to be a little annoying. Aside from that, the brunch was excellent. The staff is great. And dining on the patio is fantastic!
We stop at Eastern Standard before every Red Sox game we attend. Never have a bad experience, and sometimes better than the game!
Amazing service and food! Everything was excellent!
Always great cocktails. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Awesome steak tartare, oysters, etc etc. You can't go wrong with any item on their menu - comfort food a notch up.
Sat outside. It was lovely. Good service. Relaxing business lunch
Start to finish, awesome.
We like this restaurant but this time the food was not so good. Onion soup was tasteless like someone dunked an onion in warm water. My fish was dry. My drink of vodka was as short a pour as I've ever had. That said, outstanding service. Great location. Reservation honored right on time. Just a bad night for the kitchen I hope.
The calamari was perfectly cooked and the oysters were plump, clean, and fresh. The entrees were excellent also; the smoked pork blade was incredibly juicy and intense, the potato crusted hake, bright and flaky. Definitely recommend the butterscotch bread pudding. Complex, not overly sweet or cloying.
As always, my experience here was amazing with great food and exceptional service.
We had a bad day, this set everything right. Great food, great table, great waitress.
Great food and service. Nice wine list, but very significant mark-ups.
Always love Eastern Standard for special occasions! And I'm always, always especially impressed with the outstanding food: very thoughtful compositions of taste and texture. Top notch chefs. We just went for brunch, and even the brunch food was notably elevated. Excellent service, excellent ambiance (we sat outside on the patio)
Fabulous! They always represent!
Food and drinks are great! Very attentive servers who were able to help us surprise a friend for her birthday!
On time ...competent waitress...excellent food...successful meeting..thank you
Seated immediately. Excellent wait staff. Noise level optimal for a date, we sat next to each other and hold a conversation. (Weeknight) Menu not particularly diverse but solid choices. Had a Boston Bibb salad, salmon, crem brulet ans coffee. Salad was good, a little strange with cooked vegetables but savory. Salmon well cooked, buttery served with beluga lentils. Desert well-balanced, good mix of flavors - perfect.
4 people. One person ordered the ribeye. 3 of us got our meals and no steak. We waited over 15 mins for the steak and it was not cooked as requested. No one apologized for the extremely long wait and it made no sense that 3 of us were served and the 4th was not. Made for a slightly unpleasant situation
We have eaten at Eastern Standard several times and it is always a great experience. The meat is always good but this time I had fish (hake) which was perfectly cooked. But we also go for the atmosphere - comfortable but with great energy.
We had a wonderful evening. Cocktails were very nice and food was delicious. Great service also.
Definitely reserve if you don't want to wait. Love the milk punch cocktail.
This restaurant continues to exceed expectations. It is a true gem in Boston.
Wonderful servers, delicious foods and the carafes of wine were perfect for a girls night out!
Service was blasé. Food only okay. Went for lunch, sat outside, which was nice. The mussels were good - but came w only 1 piece of bread to soak up the broth. My Bibb salad was odd and not good at all. Not sure how you mess up a salad but they did. Ice tea weak. My son’s burger over cooked. Overall, only ok. Not sure I would go back. It’s been better.
A great choice when going to Fenway Park to see the RedSox. A bit pricey, but better food than any place near the park.
Eastern Standard is a hot spot, especially pre-Red Sox game. The food is very good but not amazing, in my opinion, especially for the higher prices. Cocktails were fine, but nothing super special. Outdoor seating is nice but fills up fast. Indoor vibe is good. The place is usually busy, so make a reservation in advance or prepare for wait times during peak hours.
The foods and craft cocktails are excellent!! The service was excellent as well. A great place before a Red Sox game.
We dined here for brunch before the Red Sox game, great atmosphere and we all enjoyed our meals. Two of us in our party ordered the Quiche and it was cold, didn’t send it back due to time restraints. Overall was a good dining experience.
A surprisingly disappointing night at a typical favorite.
Delightful time sitting outside under the awning - great beers - delicious veggie pasta - very nice. I look forward to go back soon.
The ambiance and drinks were great. Unfortunately, our server mostly ignored us and the food was just okay, certainly not what I expected from such a well reviewed and expensive place!
Eastern Standard never disappoints. Great oysters, good beer and a wine list that is deep in several price points (go for the house carafe).
Seated outside on a great summer Sunday. Shaded and good for people watching. All four of us ordered different dishes and they were very good. Service was prompt and pleasant.
Always enjoy the food but like most places music is too loud. Very hard to have a conversation with guests without yelling.
Service was wonderful and room is comfortable. Overall experience was very good, just the music and noise that is objectionable.
