First time there for brunch. Food was very good. Only issue was I didn't expect an egg sandwich to be "over easy." I shot yoke all over my sweater, but no harm done. Bloody Mary with Habanero-infused Vodka was excellent! Service was very good. Great interior and vibe. I'll be back.
Wonderful food at a reasonable price! Would definitely recommend :)
Birthday dinner service was excellent. Food very good
Bar staff is the finest in Boston.
LOVED this restaurant. Delicious, attentive and a great atmosphere.
This is the first time I've been to Eastern Standard when there is NOT a Red Sox game. So the experience was completely different - both good. Before a baseball game, it's noisy and crowded but a lot of fun. The last visit was on a Monday night in December. It was not crowded and relatively quiet. It was great also. I had the Standard Burger, which is always excellent. The server provided excellent service.
As always it was great! The young lady that waited on us was fantastic!! Truly my favorite restaurant.
Had a family brunch today. Extremely good service and good food. We had our 90+ year old mother with us, and they very attentive to her needs.
Waitress was excellent
Most delicious turkey dinner in town! Thanks to GM Caroline for making our Thanksgiving dinner so special!👏👏
Excellent location and Atmosphere, brilliant food and cocktails
The ambiance at Eastern Standard was lovely: a huge, welcoming bar, booths, and nicely spaced tables.
We went for Thanksgiving so there was only a prix fixe menu. All diners in our party had the salad, which was delicious.Bread that was offered during the dinner looked and tasted like the Prepperidge Farm rolls one buys at your favorite supermarket. For our mains we had the turkey and the duck both of which were tough and served at a cooler than optimal temperature. The stuffing, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato sides were quite average. We chose apple crisp and apple sorbet for our dessert and honestly it was the best part of dinner!
Overall we might go back to try Eastern Standard on a “normal” day, but for Thanksgiving it was quite an overpriced disappointment.
Service was extraordinary and the Thanksgiving meal was exceptional
My Thanksgiving dinner was quite good, with the exception of the apple crisp for dessert--the apples were hardly cooked! However, the waitress, who asked me how my dessert was (and I told her the truth), comped me on the excellent hard cider I'd ordered, which made things right and showed the excellent service of the place.
Eastern Standard has been one of my favorite places since they opened many years ago. My most recent visit was on Thanksgiving with my parents. This is the 3rd year we have gone to Eastern Standard and this year did not disappoint. The 3 course menu is great! Lots of options for all tastes, and the food is delicious. I've been to some other restaurants for Thanksgiving and for some reason the quality doesn't hold up, but it does at ES.
The atmosphere is fun and festive without being to stodgy and the service is impeccable. If you find yourself needing to go out for Thanksgiving this is a great option. Also great for pre-game during the Red Sox season, lunch, dinner or brunch. :)
Good food and atmostphere. Most notable was the server - great pacing with courses, and very knowledgeable about food and beverages. Really appreciated the time she spent with our table.
Excelent service!
Had to wait 45+ minutes for the table. Food was not good and especially not vs other similar priced restaurants in the area.
Food was very good, ambiance was great...lively but not over the top. Waiters and waitresses very businesslike, not much in the way of chit chat.
Loved everything about it. My date and I were seated in a very romantic elevated table by the window. We were both surprised and it made the evening special. I hadn’t even mentioned to anyone it was a date! Food was worth the price and would recommend to anyone looking to a night to remember.
Excellent food and service! The location in the Fenway is perfect when visiting the Boston area.
We used to be regulars at Eastern Standard and loved it. After a one-year hiatus, we went back to discover a well-managed place with nice ambiance serving TERRIBLE food. The Ciopinno was close to inedible, the steak had gone bad, the salad was drowning in too much dressing -- everything was WRONG. We will never go to Eastern Standard again.
Solid restaurant! The food is usually very salty, but great service and scene.
Excellent service and food!
We love the food and ambiance!
Food was good. No gluten free. Waiter was excellent.
The hostess is always amazing and takes great care of us! The server this time was not very attentive. The food and atmosphere are fabulous like always!
Convenient location, but the menu was underwhelming
Wait staff and manager very professional, attentive, a great experience. The manager in particular was right on top of everything and staff well trained.
Arrived for a very early dinner at 4pm and a limited midday menu was available, not dinner. A bit disappointing but the food overall was solid. Salads very nice, mussels and cores excellent, burgers a bit charred but ok. Overall B+
Food was great! Bartender was awesome! Great brunch!
We had a great breakfast, fast service
The food, drinks and service was exceptional. Special thanks to our server Lia and manager Diego for making our visit a special one!
Came here for lunch, and was given just the Brunch menu. It was very limited. Everything was underwhelming. My steak was under cooked, the salad was just ok, and the best part about the meal was the meat and cheese boards. But that’s not saying much. The bar was very pretty and the room looked historic. Maybe they’re better at dinner? Or perhaps this is just an apps and drinks kinda place.
We had a great server who recommended cocktails for us perfectly. The bone marrow was pretty off this time though for some reason - not our server’s fault. Everything else was solid.
Our visit to Eastern Standard was amazing! We found the wine selection to be very good, and the food was amazing. The service was outstanding; from the hostesses to our very aware server. We ordered the steelhead trout and the cacio e pepe spaghetti, and each were cooked perfectly and all vegetables/potatoes were soft and flavorful. We split the butterscotch pudding for dessert and it was delicious but quite heavy. Eastern Standard is such a safe bet if you're willing to impress anyone visiting Boston, or for locals to enjoy a fine dining experience in a place that's always bustling and delicious!
High level of service and quality of food in a great atmosphere.
My friends and us had a terrific time, as always, at Eastern Standard. Made all the more perfect by the attentive and skilled service provided by Kat. Even though the place was, as always, hopping, we had no trouble having our party of six conversation thanks to the great booths. Most of us raved about the food, though one of our guest sent his roast half chicken back twice due to being underdone. One guest's steak (ordered medium well) was also not done to taste. This is a first in my experience at Eastern Standard. Staff were super attentive and managed the moment with aplomb. Despite these isolated issues, our guests and we had a great time. I love this place.
Great night all around. Drinks at Island Creek then dinner at Eastern Standard. Chen was fabulous server. Thank you!
Never a bad time at ES. It was a birthday dinner and you helped make it special. Thank you!
