Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Eastern Standard. Chosen for its location close to our hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with the overall quality, ambiance, service & our meals. Good craft cocktail menu. Our server was able to accurately describe each of the drinks and help us make selections. We started with delicious hot crab dip followed by the grilled salmon and squash/Brie pasta. Most delicious butterscotch bread pudding!! Would return & definitely recommend.

We originally booked 2 tables for 7 but consolidated to 10 people the day of the reservation. The host was able to accommodate our new party size and sit us together by opening up the private room. Our waiter was excellent, offering us suggestions on cocktails, wines and options to swap out items on the menu to suit our taste. We ordered the seafood tower as well as several appetizers, main course dinners (steak, salmon, pasta dishes and the daily special, meatballs and spaghetti) and several deserts (bread pudding and creme brulee). The food was delicious and I'm always happy to see creme brulee made with real vanilla beans. Everyone agreed the service was fantastic and all were pleased with the experience.

Every single time we visit this restaurant we are not disappointed. The hostess, host and server were all so professional and nice. The food is superb and presented nicely with complementary flavors and colors.

We have been to ES many times and have always had a good experience. Unfortunately, this time it did not meet our expectations. Our server and the sommelier were both wonderful and very helpful. However, we waited a very long time for food that was not very warm when it arrived and we noticed the quality had gone downhill. Very disappointed as it was our anniversary (and we actually got married there).
I think ES is due for a facelift. Revamp the menu and decor and bring this place back to life! It’s long overdue.

We were a party of 4. A family night out with the adult children. One of our family members had anaphylactic allergies to a series of foods and food ingredients. The staff was extremely diligent in handling her needs. It made the experience very relaxing and very comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate her.

We greatly appreciated the staff at Eastern Standard. They made the evening great.

We won’t hesitate to go there again.

Thanks!!!!

Always like this place! One of my brunch-to-go places and you can never get wrong. Though I was a bit disappointed to see there’s no oats or muesli for weekend brunch, beyond that, everything’s really good!

Oh my God the herb gnocchi with the Thursday rabbit dinner special needs to come in larger quantities. Also, that butterscotch bread pudding was just as amazing

Food was great. Our server Brooke was awesome and so accommodating to my nut allergy and answered so many of my questions. I had the salmon and it was delicious. My husband loved the baked rigatoni. Raw bar was great too. Fun place, great menu. We will definitely be back!

Service was absolutely outstanding. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu, and extremely responsive to our needs. The food was quite good but not perfect. Lovely Wellfleet oysters. Foie gras appetizer served, inexplicably, on a very sweet highly flavored bread that overwhelmed the foie gras. Braised rabbit was excellent. My companion asked for a martini with a lemon twist which resulted in a martini with what we could only describe as a lemon bunion, a rather oddly shaped circle of lemon peel. My queen Christina cocktail, a bourbon concoction, was fine. Because the place has such an outstanding reputation for both food and cocktails, I was slightly disappointed, though I would have been pleased by the quality if my expectations weren’t so high.

Wine by the glass is excellent at Eastern Standard and the best dishes of the night were the raw oysters and the excellent foie gras; entrees (flank steak frites and monkfish) were just okay.

Service was good, food was ok, but it was a HUGE disappointment when were only allowed to order brunch at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. What??!! WHO SERVES BRUNCH ON SATURDAYS, or doesn't at least give you the optio of ordering from the lunch menu?! Bad move, Eastern Standard. Just wanted to use this opportunity to warn people who aren't aware of that. The lunch menu was what I had my heart set on (I brought out of town guests). Personally, I don't like breakfast food after 11:00 am. If it weren't for the fact that I was with visitors, I would have left and gone to another restaurant.

A very good brunch with a comprehensive menu. Not overly loud so possible to talk. Wouldn't have minded more attention from wait staff, but that's OK, they were busy.

Eastern Standard remains one of my favorite restaurants in the country. I try to always make a visit when I’m in Boston. Consistent great quality food as well as a thoughtful wine list that offers fresh and new wines. Shout out to Justine who offered warm service on a freezing cold day.

Arrived at 5:30 for a 6:00 pm reservation, was told table would be ready at 6:00, no big deal, grabbed a drink at the bar. Table was not ready until 6:30, very disappointing. They did buy our first round of drinks was nice, but then forgot to put in our appetizer order, can’t make this up. Was with a group of 4, we were heading to a show at the house of blues so timing was important. Been to Eastern Standard several times and this was our first sub standard experience.
