Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. Cocktail legend Jackson Cannon has crafted a beverage menu that features an array of craft cocktails both new and classic, a curated selection of wines, and craft beers from near and far.

    Every Sunday night, we’re serving up a saucy steak menu! Choose between bavette ($30), NY Strip ($45), and ribeye ($60). Each plate comes with herb frites, a crunchy caesar salad, and your choice of sauce: chimichurri, spicy béarnaise, or horseradish cream. We'll also offer chicken and salmon frites for all you non-steak lovers. This Sunday-only menu will also feature raw bar, fan-favorite sides, and appetizers like steak tartare, mac and cheese, and bone marrow. Don't fret, we'll be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions and preferences! It’s a proper Sunday feast, week after week!

    The waitress was attentive when we first got there but after that it was very hard to get her attention. The drinks took a while to arrive which could be the bar or the waitress. The food was good. The pasta dish was small for the price.

    Food at serafina nyc is usually much better. It felt like it was pre-done and warmed up and not the usual freshly made pasta. We alws order the same so everything was a bit off.

    Food was good. No AC at the bar. Hot day! Friendly. Nice atmosphere. Also it was a Sunday night. No game. No concert. Lots of rain. So for us it was perfect!

    Trendy spot, definitely seems geared towards a younger crowd. Staff was very nice. Would be a good date spot, but we didn’t love it for brunch. Limited options and pricey for just ok food.

    I was expecting a reincarnation of the Eastern Standard from Kenmore Square. Parts were familiar, and the Proprietor, Garett Harker came to our table with the food and greeted us, which is always special. It was loud. The people at the next table had to get up and stand next to each other to finish a conversation. I was leaning to close to my friends. The service was hit or miss, with the waiter missing in action for long periods of time. Food was good, the steak tartar, the smoked salmon pate were very good. The length of time between apps and the entree was so long, some of the food was cold when we got it. We were hungry, so we ate, finished our wine and left. I will try again, not on a Saturday night.
