Colin, the Host was AWESOME. He went the extra mile to ensure we had seating in a quieter area so we could enjoy conversation. And, in the process he was personable. Sarah, the Server, was AWESOME. She excels at Customer Service. Friendly, helpful, attentive. The food was delicious, and the portions generous. We enjoyed the Pork Cop, and Fish & Chips, and, Pretzel, and, Deviled Eggs. All was delicious, perfectly prepared, perfectly seasoned, flavorful. My husband ordered the Pork Chop. He is consistently disappointed, and has all but given up on ordering it when dining out. Sarah recommended the Pork Chop, and he was not disappointed. Tender. Flavorful. East Town Kitchen & Bar was impressive, and highly recommend.

Many items were forgotten and were wrong for our brunch. The quality of the food wasn't great. It wasn't outright bad but it wasn't very good either. The best thing our large party got was probably the chicken and waffles.

Great restaurant if you want a noisy place that serves fish fry with hidden bones in the fish and dried out chicken, cheese curds with way too much batter and too little cheese. Way overpriced as well.

Highly recommend the food, drinks, and ambiance of East Town Kitchen! We come here often for happy hours and work functions. Tonight, my wife and I enjoyed the Prime Rib special, Fried Chicken dinner, and Crispy Calamari appetizer. Everything I've tried here has been excellent. The calamari is accompanied with a spicy thai chili sauce and Asian slaw. So good! The fried chicken comes with 4 large juicy pieces, spicy honey on the side, mashed potatoes, and is a better fried chicken meal than the restaurants we've tried around the country. The prime rib was on special Saturday night (not normally on the menu) and was cooked perfectly to my liking with horseradish and au-jus on the side, along with crispy fresh green beans and fries. Sarah is an amazing waitress, and the manager Aleks stopped by to check on us. Super cool. Excellent tap beer list (Mudpuppy Porter, Fantasy Factory, Seattle Cider, etc). Everything was perfect, and we'll definitely be back soon!

Normally when a restaurant has a limited menu, they do those menu options really well. I just didn't think that any of our food was really good. We ordered French onion soup which was bland and several of us had salads and they were just ok. The restaurant is beautiful; I would just hope they work to improve the menu.

Food was great, we had a table in the back and I just think our waitress didn’t check on us enough. Our 2nd round of drinks ordered before meal didn’t come until well after we were done eating. My husband and I order two burgers to share between us. The meat was overcooked and grey. The burgers and their special ingredients were nothing to write home about. The side salad was wilted spring greens and diced tomatoes that looked liked they belonged on top of a taco. The meal was edible but extremely disappointing for the price point. The service was lacking. The waitress was hard to track down and not very friendly. There was a manager-esque person running around asking people how things were but he didn't seem very invested in the process, so we did not share our thoughts with him.

It's too bad about the food and the service because the ambiance of the restaurant is nice.

Brought the family for lunch with the kids off on a snow day. Really fantastic! We started with the calamari which has an Asian flavor and everyone loved. Then split the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Cheeseburger with my wife. Both were items I will crave. The kids had cheeseburgers with the exception of one who had the fried bologna sandwich. All could not say enough great things. We agreed that the burgers and bologna sandwich were as good (and possibly better) than those we had at Au Cheval in Chicago’s west loop. This is high praise. Our server, Rebecca, was very attentive and knowledgeable and the manager, Alex, stopped by several times to make sure all was up to par.

If you are staying at the Marriott or Pfister or work downtown, I would put this place on your list!

Unfortunately, the food just wasn't that great. The Brussels sprouts were very spicy and undercooked. The onion soup lacked flavor. The calamari was greasy, and it was kind of odd there was no marinara.

We enjoyed a great anniversary celebration here. Our group of six had a tasty dinner and outstanding service. The Jackson Burger was served hot and flavorful with a large portion of shoestring fries to two members of our group. The Mac and Cheese did not disappoint our most critical family member and the Walleye Fish Fry was very good. My husband said the pork chop was cooked to perfection and my Quinoa Vegetable Bowl was spicy and delicious. Our only complaint would be the appetizers, which came out a little overdone. The crab hush puppies were ok, but the pretzel was burnt. The complimentary anniversary dessert and Champaign toast were a sweet and generous treat. We will return here and bring more friends! This place is a keeper.

Always a little nonplussed by “hotel restaurants,” but so very surprised by this one! The food was absolutely wonderful (phenomenal bone-in rib eye with marrow butter, perfectly crisped Brussels with bacon, to name a few things!). The service was a bit strained as our server seemed to be busy with all tables. There was also some horrific construction going on behind a black tarp inside of the restaurant. However, all of that being said, the food really was exceptional. Try that beautiful steak and don’t be afraid of the new calamari appetizer on Asian-inspired slaw.

Went here because it was on open table and close to the theatre. We were about the only people there and now I know why. The food was very poor. The salmon had no flavor at all, though they did cook it well. The fish fry was also below par. The first beer did not taste like the one I ordered and it took forever to get the waiter's eye to change it. Then when we had another round, he brought the bad beer again and again it took forever to find him. Plastic sheeting all around the dining area smelled like chemicals. Waiter said they are redoing the whole place with new name and menu. Probably for the best.
