Valentines Day dinner - and my first visit to this restaurant. Loved the look of the bar. Food and service were both very good. Tried the specialty cocktail “Pamotini,” which was delicious. I look forward to returning again soon (possibly before dark to check out the natural lighting). 👍
Food was great, we had a table in the back and I just think our waitress didn’t check on us enough. Our 2nd round of drinks ordered before meal didn’t come until well after we were done eating. Manager did come to inquire how things were but a little too late as we had already paid and needed to leave for Bucks game. Disappointed
Food was very interesting and well-prepared. Temperature on my dish was not quite hot so I give that 4 stars instead of 5. Waiter and bartender were both excellent. The decor is classy without being stuffy.
My husband and I order two burgers to share between us. The meat was overcooked and grey. The burgers and their special ingredients were nothing to write home about. The side salad was wilted spring greens and diced tomatoes that looked liked they belonged on top of a taco. The meal was edible but extremely disappointing for the price point. The service was lacking. The waitress was hard to track down and not very friendly. There was a manager-esque person running around asking people how things were but he didn't seem very invested in the process, so we did not share our thoughts with him.
It's too bad about the food and the service because the ambiance of the restaurant is nice.
Brought the family for lunch with the kids off on a snow day. Really fantastic! We started with the calamari which has an Asian flavor and everyone loved. Then split the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Cheeseburger with my wife. Both were items I will crave. The kids had cheeseburgers with the exception of one who had the fried bologna sandwich. All could not say enough great things. We agreed that the burgers and bologna sandwich were as good (and possibly better) than those we had at Au Cheval in Chicago’s west loop. This is high praise. Our server, Rebecca, was very attentive and knowledgeable and the manager, Alex, stopped by several times to make sure all was up to par.
If you are staying at the Marriott or Pfister or work downtown, I would put this place on your list!
The food was generally good. Nothing about the restaurant is intimate, though. Tables are all set for 4 or more and the main space is large, open, and relatively loud.
New Years Eve!
My girlfriend and I came to Milwaukee with little to no plans on New Year’s Eve. We ended up dining at East Town and we loved it. Food and ambience was great. Very low key. The salmon was amazing!
GREAT BRUNCH! Service was fast
Unfortunately, the food just wasn't that great. The Brussels sprouts were very spicy and undercooked. The onion soup lacked flavor. The calamari was greasy, and it was kind of odd there was no marinara.
Having said that, the crab hushpuppies were tasty. The salad was delicious.
I'm not sure we would go back.
East Town was awesome! The ambiance of the restaurant was really cool, service was fast and friendly, and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back here again.
This restaurant did not disappoint! The food, staff, and atmosphere was incredible! I will be back soon!
Nice place to gather a group. Comfortable seating. Food was well prepared.
Great burgers, tasty deviled eggs, attentive service & prices were average for area. Only dislike was the music. At times it was night club-ish - not what we like to listen to when dining. We will go back again!
On a whole, a good experience. The staff was cordial, service prompt, good food. We had a group of 6 and the group was served without any lag time for anyone in the group. Prices were reasonable. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone that isn't looking for a large menu or exotic selections. The name describes the restaurant well.
Get the Fried Chicken. Not what you would expect from a Hotel Restaurant. Great menu, drinks and service. A little disappointed my guest could not get a burger medium rare, but enjoyed it just the same.
We enjoyed a great anniversary celebration here. Our group of six had a tasty dinner and outstanding service. The Jackson Burger was served hot and flavorful with a large portion of shoestring fries to two members of our group. The Mac and Cheese did not disappoint our most critical family member and the Walleye Fish Fry was very good. My husband said the pork chop was cooked to perfection and my Quinoa Vegetable Bowl was spicy and delicious. Our only complaint would be the appetizers, which came out a little overdone. The crab hush puppies were ok, but the pretzel was burnt. The complimentary anniversary dessert and Champaign toast were a sweet and generous treat. We will return here and bring more friends! This place is a keeper.
Great new addition to downtown!! The food was excellent, atmosphere on point and staff was very knowledgeable about their food and beverages. Can't wait to go back!
Great time- really enjoyed the atmosphere. Felt very relaxed. Bar did a great job with fun cocktails. Loved that I could bring my kids and they ate more than me. Awesome Apps- cheese curds- nailed it!!! Fought over Calamari. I tried the Chicken and they took it off my plate. Mac and Cheese looked amazing -for sure coming back and trying more!
The feel of this restaurant is lively and energetic. As for the food...... it's outstanding! I highly recommend the calamari appetizer. The best in town!
Our server Ayah made our night. She was great at making recommendations and very descriptive in describing the dishes. When you stop in, ask for her!
Always a little nonplussed by “hotel restaurants,” but so very surprised by this one! The food was absolutely wonderful (phenomenal bone-in rib eye with marrow butter, perfectly crisped Brussels with bacon, to name a few things!). The service was a bit strained as our server seemed to be busy with all tables. There was also some horrific construction going on behind a black tarp inside of the restaurant. However, all of that being said, the food really was exceptional. Try that beautiful steak and don’t be afraid of the new calamari appetizer on Asian-inspired slaw.
Went here because it was on open table and close to the theatre. We were about the only people there and now I know why. The food was very poor. The salmon had no flavor at all, though they did cook it well. The fish fry was also below par. The first beer did not taste like the one I ordered and it took forever to get the waiter's eye to change it. Then when we had another round, he brought the bad beer again and again it took forever to find him. Plastic sheeting all around the dining area smelled like chemicals. Waiter said they are redoing the whole place with new name and menu. Probably for the best.
Great food, quiet Friday dinner. Service was attentive
This is my favorite after work unwind spot so far in Milwaukee. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food options.
First off, great server! He suggested cheese curds for appetizers, very good. Husbands pork chop was fall off the bone tender and everything on his plate was seasoned very well. I had the salmon and it was okay, I just wasn't a huge fan of the couscous salad served with it.
A limited menu but very happy with our selections. Good cheese curds, very interesting Brussel sprout salad. The entree was outstanding - Beef short rib very tender with the creamiest mashed sweet potatoes I’ve ever eaten.
The food was Great! We had the Cheese fondue, the Brussel Sprout salad with chicken and the pork chop. All were really very good, seasoned well, decent portions, and the pork chop was juicy and not dry. There was only one server on a Sunday night before Memorial Day weekend so he was swamped. It didn't help that a table with 7 or 8 kids showed up. No biggie if you are at Red Robin, but this was a nice restaurant and while the parents all talked on one side of the table the kids goofed around on the other side. They were running around and loud, so that kind of took away from the experience. You have to bring something for a kid to do otherwise they are not going to sit in a chair while you have a peaceful dinner with your friends. It is not the server's job to babysit. The food was really good though, check it out and hopefully you won't get a bunch of kids coming in. HA
We had the soft pretzel to start, it was delicious. We loved the horseradish mustard dipping sauce. Then I ate the tomato basil soup and shaved Brussels salad which was THE BEST SALAD of my year!!! Delicious flavors and great textures. We will go back for another meal!
Was ok, service was poor
Food was good and prices very reasonable
Our waiter was extremely slow even though the place was empty. The food was okay, we all ordered the only burger on their menu because it seemed like the only thing decently priced. Overall fine experience, but nothing would draw me back there whatsoever.
I had been to Millioke several weeks ago for a Saturday brunch and really liked it. We had concert tickets for Saturday evening Avett Brothers concert so I suggested it for pre-show dinner. It was excellent. Good service, wonderful food, good beer and wine menu. The rest of my party, who had never been there before, said they would definitely come back.
Matt did a great job
Food was excellent
We waited an hour for our food in a mostly empty restaurant. I asked two waitresses to bring my husband the beer he ordered twenty minutes before that. There were at least 6 items we tried to order that they no longer serve but are still on the menu. The kids menu had four desserts on it but none of them were available so instead I was offered carrot cake but never told it is $8 per slice until the bill came when I told her we no longer would be needing the cake. I am not paying $16 for two kids to eat cake... our overall bill was just shy of $70 for four people and I felt like with the service we received it should have been $20. Will likely not return.
This was our first time here and we had a wonderful meal. The staff is nice and the food is high quality. Although the menu is small, the items are all good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal, but the Pork Chop got the rave review! We will go back.
Do not go if you like open table points, I was trying to choose between two based on burgers and cheese curds. They both offered 100 points (at least from what I remember) when making the reservation, but when I finished eating and got home, Open Table emailed me it didn't qualify for points which makes no sense. I would absolutely have gone somewhere else.
As for the restaurant, the servers are friendly and the food is good, but it is a sports bar and incredibly loud. There is nothing to break up noise and it will bounce off everything. Expect to hear every conversation, cheer, yell and cackle. If you want a loud sports bar (that can be fun, especially if your team is playing and winning) with really good cheese curds, this is for you. If you want to relax while watching a game and also get your open table points, go somewhere else.
I can't answer this honestly, because we didn't eat. Our reservation (via OpenTable) was for 11pm, but the kitchen closed at 11, so we didn't stay. We told the hostess that someone should update OpenTable, and to their credit, it looks like they did.
Okay. That sums it up.
Can be very busy or very quiet depending on the time you go, very tasty food.
Beautiful restaurant and great American food. We had a great time.
Good place for lunch. Food took a little longer than i would’ve expected given the amount of people in the restaurant, but overall good.
