East Coast Provisions Ratings and Reviews
Excellent seafood, casual, not stuffy. We had crabcakes, rockfish, and scallops. The fried calamari was amazing, nice Asian-inspired sauce. We splurged with the doughnut dessert, was amazing. Have already recommended to my adult children who visit regularly. I want to try the sushi.
My daughter and I were trying to decide where to go for her birthday family dinner. Somewhere special, that had a great menu and would be fun. Then we remembered this is where we went last year. We shared the spicy tuna for appetizers, my wife and daughter split a pasta seafood dish, with a side of oysters; my son had a burger and I had salmon. And a nice Cabernet to drink. On the way out my daughter this was the perfect spot for her dinner. Perfection!
There service was excellent and the drinks were great. However, the food was underwhelming. All dishes were hardly warm, small portions for the price, and a bit bland. There's wasn't one dish at our table that was more than room temperature, including the fried calamari appetizer. I'd come back for a cocktail and the octopus, but that's about it.
We had a great time at Coast. The appetizers were all fabulous. The fish is very, very good. The salads were huge and delicious. We can't wait to go back.
Our waitress was inexperienced though and had too many tables to cover. As such, the service was slow. She knew nothing about wine and had no idea of the prices of the various ports listed on the dessert menu.
The spicey tuna roll was subpar. Would hesitate to order a roll here again.
We loved it all!
The menu, our waiter, the food...delicious!
Started with the calamari and octopus. Oh my! So good!
We all had seafood entrees all were perfectly cooked and very flavorful.
Too full for dessert, unfortunately. Gives us a reason to return soon.
Two couples had four different meals and everyone loved their food. We especially like that the menu features the simply grilled choices, and also the entire menu has lots of Paleo and low carb options that we prefer. Portion sizes are reasonable, no need for doggie bag, but still plenty of food. Love the variety and quality of the veggies and sides served with the dishes. One of our favorite places!
We had an excellent meal, the food was amazing! Service was prompt and accurate. Price and portions were very reasonable. The patio was the best I've ever seen, they even opened it up just for us. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Well rounded menu focusing on freshest ingredients and seafood... though the steak and hamburger were perfectly cooked and and delicious. The grilled salmon on shaved Brussels sprouts was outstanding. Not loud and great atmosphere with exposed brick walls.
Great experience overall. Service was excellent all night, and everything tasted great. Our only issue was the bed of arugula under the steak, which tasted like someone had spilt salt on it before it was served. Overall, however, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Richmond area looking for great seafood and a fun atmosphere.
While the food was good, it was not great. I had the crab cake and enjoyed it, but it was nothing like other crab cakes that have been more flavorful. The dessert was some type of lava cake and I expected it to be warm. It was cold and it was fine, but again, it was not great.
