It was a snowy day so it was very quiet which was great and our good came super fast! The mimosas were excellent!!!
Would recommend East Coast Provisions in every way. Great food, great service and Ryan was awesome. We had an outstanding meal.
All the tables downstairs are very cold in the winter. We were in the main building but the drafts are strong. Served us the wrong beer, no big deal, the waitress fixed it. Ordered surf and turf and the lobster tail was under cooked. We’ve eaten here a ton but it was missing the mark this time.
Absolutely wonderful food and a perfect way to celebrate our daughter's graduation!
Loud diners, cold dining room. White napkins got lint all over my black pants. The seared tuna on the salad had been cooked earlier and was cold instead of freshly seared. Nothing special. There are much better options to have lunch in Carytown.
Our reservation was in the upstairs bar area, when I specifically requested a quiet space. I asked to be moved, which they did. Unfortunately for us the loud people at the bar ended up sitting behind us. We had the sushi and scallops. Both were good. I had an old fashioned cocktail that was very good. Service was good.
Had the New York strip steak.. the steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, sides complimented it very well. Service was great and atmosphere was awesome
Our server was great, however the food was honestly incredibly mediocre. The ECP Benedict was very middle of the road. Nothing out right terrible, but in a town full of amazing places for brunch, incredibly forgettable. My friends steak portion on the steak and eggs was very small and the donuts were either overcooked or were just hushpuppies they covered in sugar. Perhaps brunch isn't their strong suit, but I was excited to try it and left disappointed.
Interesting, seafood-centric with lots of other options menu, terrific service and reasonable prices in a convenient Carytown location.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent, We will make a point to return.
Our first time dining there, and was with friends. The food was good. The service was good. Nothing stood out or was notable.
Won’t rush back.
We enjoyed the food at East Coast Provisions, however we did feel like they need bigger meal portions for the prices charged.
Great appetizers, moderate main meals. Very nice service and good character to the restaurant.
I took my wife for our anniversary. The service was great! The food was good also however, our sides such as the brussell sprouts, could've used a bit more seasoning. Overall, good experience.
Lovely atmosphere, very cozy, small spaces. Loved the small plates, sushi, oysters, very nice waitstaff
After being wowed by West Coast Provisions we decided to try East Coast Provisions. We'd heard they were somewhat different, but the menus looked the same to us. The food was good, the ambience was nice, the server was good, but we all agreed that West beat East. Your mileage may vary.
Delicious last minute brunch reservation, We really enjoyed our meal and the quieter ambience.
Great selection of seafood. Had the special, Pompano. Very rare to see it on a menu and it was delicious!
My second time here and it didn't disappoint. I did see a critter run under the bench I was sitting on which was a little unsettling.
Food was very good for pictures but lacked in flavor. Seating is tight but it's expected to be in that area of the city.
Delicious meal, perfectly cooked and served with gracious care.
Good food, a bit pricey. Repetitive music. Perfect for birthdays and special occasions.
This restaurant was recently voted the #1 seafood restaurant in Richmond. We tried it based on that recommendation and we weren’t that impressed.
Great seafood with a cool vibe. Awesome location in Carytown. Went with a group of six and our waiter Bryce was attentive and knowledgable.
Five friends for lunch: one meal was totally cold & we had to search for the waiter to complain and TWO other meals EACH had a hair (not ours) on the plate.
One of the three meals was comped.
Perfect! Our Empty Nesters Club enjoyed an amazing night of food, fun and friendships. Cannot wait to go back
We needed to get served and get out to make the theatre engagement
They served us promptly without feeling rushed and made it to the theatre on time
The French fries were overcooked- burned on the sides . Great service ! Highly recommend this spot. If they would change their French fries, everything would b perfect!
Fantastic dinner.. great service by Bella... would highly recommend!
We went with a group of eight people, and everyone enjoyed the food. we tried various appetizers, entrées, and desserts and all were very nicely presented and tasted great. Service was exceptionally good! Would definitely go back.
Very good seafood.
Our server was outstanding (her name was Ronnie). Tremendous food quality with great service. I would highly recommend East Coast Provisions to friends, family and even strangers.
Restaurant week was nothing special at EastCoast provisions this fall. Value was good for the price during restaurant week, of course, but none of the food was memorable enough to encourage us to sample again at another time. The service was quite good and welcoming. The ambiance is good and the restaurant isn't too noisy. But the food, beyond the fried calamari with spring onions with sambal honey lime sauce, was just average ... The mahi was dry and overcooked. The crab cake was also dry. And, the crab, corn and miso soup was okay. Almost no effort was expended on desert.
fast service, great options for lunch and gluten free menu
Always enjoy eating here. It is very predictable —-always good!
Appetizers are always outstanding. The special was fantastic — halibut
Grabbed a quick bit to eat with a friend, we both got bloody marys which were descent. She got a lobster with fries and I got crab cake benedict which to be told could have used more asparagus (there were two spears) and the fruit - three teeny tiny pieces were sad looking. Their house donuts were a bit over done and there was so much sugar on them it looked like falling snow every time we picked one up. I like their raw bar and maybe in future will stick with that.
Neat Atmosphere at first glance with outdoor seating but as soon as we walked in the floor mat was really dirty and had trash in that area. Seated quickly. My husband and I both ordered craft drinks; his drink was so strong all he tasted was cheap bourbon, He normally would have ordered at least one more round but it took him the whole meal to get it down. My craft cocktail was made with berries but was not sweet at all. I can't even explain how bitter and awful it tasted. I would love the bartender to have tried both of these drinks before serving them. At $10 and $12 a pop we drank our water the rest of the time. The miso crab soup was okay, it wasn't anything to write home about. I ordered grilled shrimp and was asked by the waitress if I wanted them over greens or with broccolini and potatoes. I assumed these items were a part of the dish (no prices on menu) but when I received the bill they were a la carte. When my plate arrived you could immediately tell the shrimp were over cooked. The skin was dried to the them and very hard to remove. They also had so much seasoning I had to ask for cocktail sauce to mask it. I like crunchy broccoli, but this broccoli was very hard to chew and barely cooked. The potatoes were just bland. My husband enjoyed his fish. However, the overall experience was very disappointing. The table directly behind us was very loud and we could barely concentrate on our own conversation. The waitress asked if we wanted more drinks and I think our faces and adamant no's should have been a clue that we did not like them. We also turned down to go boxes. It's very uncomfortable to go to a restaurant and have to tell your server how disappointing everything is. It's not her fault so we tipped her well and left. I feel this sends a mixed message about our experience. When you don't get to go out often and you spend this much on an awful dinner it kinda ruins the whole night. We definitely will not return or recommend this restaurant.
Multigenerational lunch was handled superbly by an attentive staff. We had a great time ! Thanks you.
