Appetizers are always outstanding. The special was fantastic — halibut
Grabbed a quick bit to eat with a friend, we both got bloody marys which were descent. She got a lobster with fries and I got crab cake benedict which to be told could have used more asparagus (there were two spears) and the fruit - three teeny tiny pieces were sad looking. Their house donuts were a bit over done and there was so much sugar on them it looked like falling snow every time we picked one up. I like their raw bar and maybe in future will stick with that.
Multigenerational lunch was handled superbly by an attentive staff. We had a great time ! Thanks you.
Nice for a group. Especially like dining outside.
We had a great experience here. Service was stellar, food was delicious and specialty cocktails amazing.
Last minute dinner on a rainy night ... great desserts !
Great meal the only drawback was they were out of things on the menu.
My overall experience was ok, the food was a mixed bag. The oysters were great and the sushi was just average. We did also encounter what seemed to be knats flying around while we were dining.
I was sorry that the upstairs back room was as loud as it was. Typically we have sat downstairs on the porch or outside. I will make a point to reserve only the porch or outside next time. However, the food never disappoints!!
Heard good things about restaurant so my husband and I went for dinner. Had reservations and table was ready when we arrived. Wait staff very good. I had shrimp cocktail but shrimp were little squishy. I had lobster roll but lobster was flavorless. Salad was excellent. Husband had rockfish and enjoyed very much. Too many other places around to go back. Sorry.
We had a great dining experience. The calamari was a good appetizer. Our server Brice was excellent, and he made sure we were always taken care of.
It was largely enjoyable. The food and service was great. What brought the evening down was the sudden onslaught of flies/gnats. It does no good to have to keep swatting. One landed in our meal and they discounted the entree. May be a better option during colder months.
Salt Air Martini is beautifully crafted. The simply grilled shrimp with potatoes and broccoli is flavorful and perfectly portioned.
Very flexible wait staff and patient waiters. Sat outside where it was a little warm but love to dine alfresco when every possible.
Have been here several times and it never disappoints!
Scollps were great, muscles entree was huge and delicious, chicken was excellent but the cauliflower casserole side was undercooked inside and the bread topping was burnt.
Service was outstanding. Well prepared, tasty soup and salad
Only complaint was a slight wet or mildew smell. But after about 5 minutes I stopped noticing it.
Delish! I was assisted when I first walked through the door. Plenty of room for groups, we ended up going towards the bar. Food came out quickly and the food was fresh and delicious. Will def. be coming back to this spot again.
the waiter Bryse was great and the food was good as always
The beet salad was just average. Beets were overcooked and mushy. Should be a little more al dente. The fish sandwich was too much breading on the fish and the bun was overwhelming. The pickled onions had little to no flavor. On the flip side, the spicy tuna maka roll was very tasty. Good portion for the price. The miso corn soup was tasty.
Ate there twice in a week. Our favorite restaurant.
Great menu. Seafood is done really well here. Steaks are done expertly. Service is good. Gets a little loud, but since that's the worst of it, I highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time! Highly recommend 😊
Disappointing. The food was just average. 4 friends getting together. Each order different but all found food "nothing special." 1. hamburger 2. scallops 3. salmon 4. branzin
Weeknight 6pm reservation. Not noisy.
We love this place. Had one issue with our order that was quickly resolved.
Great food at a decent price. Outside seating quieter than inside although flies were a bit of a bother. Initial service when seated was prompt and attentive. As more people were seated, prompt service was lacking and my drink reorder during appetizer didn't come until I was done with the entree despite several reminders. I would still return as the food is well worth it.
One place to visit in Richmond - it's become a norm for us to compare other restaurants to.
The service was fantastic. The food was very good and the portion size was generous. Overall a very good dinning experience.
We really enjoyed our dinner and were pleased to be told that all the fish served is wild. Farmed fished is a huge turn off and it was nice to have a number of choices. service was fantastic. we enjoyed the wild salmon entree and burrata salad. both were great. the banana bread dessert was excellent.
This was my second time at East Coast. I ordered Shrimp and clam fettuccine, it was good, but not amazing. I would still go back because everyone else in my party loved their food. I really liked our waitress, she was professionall and friendly.
The food was great. The server was excellent
This place isn’t exactly quiet, so keep this in mind if you’re looking for a quiet date night spot. We were here for our anniversary, and the wait staff went out of their way to help us find a quiet table. Food was great...the calamari (slathered in a sweet/spicy sauce) and grilled oysters were fantastic. My wife had the branzino and loved it. I had the blackened mahi. The fish was superb; however I could have done with half the bed of relish and pickled cabbage. A good risotto would have gone better with the fish in my opinion, with the relish/cabbage as a side garnish. Overall however, a great meal, outstanding service, and we’ll definitely visit again.
Reserved a table for 8 for brunch, which was super easy. Arrived 15” early & they sat us right away!! Our waitress was excellent, and the food was delicious! Great experience, thank you!
Phenomenal service and the food was excellent!
My husband and I came here for the first time for our first anniversary and we weren’t disappointed! We came late on a Saturday at 9:00 pm and it was not so crowded so it was quiet enough for easy conversation. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful! The inside is very cute and different and we were sat by the windows which made it great for people watching.
This restaurant has the feel of Northern VA or DC. Lots of glass so open views, young energetic staff, interesting food choices and good cocktails.
Beautiful restaurant and an amazing staff! Food was excellent! I’d recommend getting appetizers and passing them around to get the full variety of food they offer. Great for a date ;) Get the grilled salmon as well!
One of my go to favorites. Consistently great experience.
