East Coast Provisions
Our server T was amazing, doing a great job at making sure everyone had everything they wanted and needed, and reading between the lines like when one person ordered ice water + lemon to drink, he brought her another glass of ice later without her even having to ask. Pretty great work especially considering the size of our party! Food and drinks were amazing as usual too. Love this place for special occasions/date night/etc. I've never been let down!
This was a lunch meal toward the end of the lunch hour. Restaurant was very quiet with only a few customers. We ate outside on the patio and it was lovely.
For a seafood restaurant I was not impressed. raw oysters were not separated from the shell making it a messy affair to eat. Lobster roll was light on lobster and not very good.
Visiting the Richmond area and familiar with the prior incarnation at this site (Watercoastal Kitchen). Food was excellent, service was great, and well worth the visit. Great way to take college students out for a delicious meal.
Fun restaurant with interesting menu.
Ryan was our server. He did a very good job. Nice variety of menu. We will come back!
My reservation was for my four year reservation with my girlfriend. We sat down to a small corner table for two with flies around us and when I asked to move the waitress referred to our table as the “fly corner.” We moved to a new table and had some food which was thankfully very good.
My biggest issue was that I asked, in the comments of the reservation, for a special dessert for my anniversary. I even noted I was trying for a surprise. The waitress took our dinner plates and then continued to bring us our check and covered an appetizer since we “didn’t want dessert.” I’ve never dealt with a restaurant who doesn’t know how to follow a special request and surprise someone!
That being said, the food was great and we were able to get some dessert somewhere else.
Best not to go during peak dinner hours; noise level is deafening.
Otherwise, everything's uniformly good. Not memorable, but worth the prices.
I go often.
Ryan, our waiter, was exceptional. Above and beyond on every level!!
Maddie, our server was terrific.
The outside patio was great! Service was good. The raw oysters were great! The entrees however were NOT. I don’t recommend the shrimp and grits, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, but the grits were bland and overpowered by the succotash ( mostly corn). The succotash was an unnecessary distraction. I would suggest the chef focus on creamy, delicious grits, as the grits served were boring and bland. My husband had grilled fish and it was dry. I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.
Good food and good service!
Brunch should always be on a Sunday only, despite what owners believe Formal brunch should end by 3 PM. The bar staff was excellent :) Sushi is an easy item so serve it all day, please. Remember lox on a bagel with smear is considered a brunch item.
Great food, excellent service - would definitely recommend
Always excellent food - my go-to for good seafood in Richmond. This time, I decided not to have the scallops as I often do, and instead tried the rockfish on the regular menu, which was excellent. A friend and I enjoyed eating outside on their deck and it was a lovely evening!
We were looking for a place to relax and have a lite meal after getting back from a trip. This filled the bill perfectly. We have been there a number of times and have always enjoyed it very much. We highly recommend it.
My opinion is different from that of my three companions, who are not vegetarian. I had a hard time finding anything to order. $14 for a vegan dish of succotash with "rice grits [sic]" (my companion who had it with shrimp said it was just rice) seemed ridiculous, as did $9 for a side dish of roasted potatoes, as did $8 for a baby glass of beer (the menu gave no hint of its diminished size). I ordered an appetizer to be polite and had my supper after I got home.
Excellent all around!
Food and service were excellent. Made a reservation and got there earlier than expected and the staff gave us a table immediately.
Although the restaurant was not full, the service seemed slow. Our server (or the kitchen) made two errors in the delivery of our food. One item was wrong and one item was not cooked. The server never complained and made it good. So overall, it was a good experience with good food that was well prepared. all the food arrived hot.
Great service and food. Staff took time to acknowledge my husband's birthday. Looking forward to our next visit.
Outstanding as usual!
We dined with an old friend who just moved to Arizona. We thought this might be a nice place to take her, just in case she had briefly forgotten how good some of our Richmond restaurants can be. East Coast Provisions did not let us down. Food was fresh, well seasoned and tasty. Table service was at its usual best. Everyone was happy with our choice of dining spots.
Everything was 5 stars. From the appetizer, to the meals, the handcrafted drinks, and the desert, everything was spectacular. Service was incredible as well. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends and family.
Great spot for weekend lunch or brunch, with a terrific menu of sandwiches, salads and brunch fare. We especially enjoyed the avocado BLT and the crab cake Benedict.
Food and service were excellent. It was noisy but not overwhelming. we had requested a quiet table and they did seat us in a quieter part of restaurant. My snapper special was one of the best things I’ve eaten out recently.
Great wait staff and great food. They brought out a dessert with candle for my mom's birthday - very sweet touch.
My spouse and I went to celebrate our anniversary and were so impressed. He is a vegetarian and absolutely adored the sweet potato sushi roll. I loved my crabcake Entree as well. We both also enjoyed our cocktails with their complex flavors.
Honey chicken and grilled salmon were very tasty. Service was good, noise level was quite high so it was difficult to have a conversation.
Fun place to watch the watermelon festival going by and enjoying a nice brunch
Enjoyed perfect, juicy burgers and a few cocktails for Sunday brunch on their shaded patio... we will return to do the same!
Always enjoy the experience at East Coast Provisions. Quality of the food is excellent and service was attentive enough without being overdone. Highly recommend this location.
Great place for a relaxed dinner outside.
East Coast Provisions! Can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. The chef must be a genius, because every thing on the menu is so good! Wife and I have been there a couple of times for Mother’s Day, but this year we had ten family members spanning three generations to celebrate wife’s birthday. Everyone was well pleased with the food and service. Well worth the drive from Fredericksburg!
Great meal. Excellent waiter. So glad we decide to try it. We will be back.
Ambiance is wonderful and the food is exceptional. The waitstaff was very accommodating and ready to please. Nice selection of local craft beers on tap and in the bottle. Shrimp and Grits were fantastic and everything around us looked very appetizing too. Price point was exceptional for the quality of the service and the quality of the food!
Everyone at the table got something different and we were all delighted with our choices. Our waitress was exceptional.
The food was very tasty with the crab miso soup downright spectacular. Our sewrver was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable.
Great food and great service.
