Nestled amongst balsam trees and birch forest, Earth is the result of a vision—one that embraces community and supports relationships between the world of outstanding cuisine and the farmers and foragers who provide the tools with which we compose incredible fare. Simple yet innovative, Earth's menu focuses on "farm to fork" freshness. In addition to local meats and seafood, ingredients are used from one of two onsite organic gardens—picked daily and incorporated into each dish to enhance the many flavors and provide a taste that only fresh ingredients deliver.

The visit here ended our New England Fall trip. WE LOVED IT! We could have gone to Mable's or any number of other famous restaurants in Kennebunkport, Portland or anywhere. We chose this and are so glad we did.
The atmosphere is amazing. A huge fireplace was the focal point of the room. The restaurant is in a barn-like structure. The outdoor area has a bar and is comfortable, centered around a pool. The inside is very well decorated with a perfect ambience for the area.
I had pizza and my wife had rice noodles and lobster. I also had wonderful oysters and she had a kale salad.
Try this place. It's amazing.
While we loved the venue and the food, our server was very unfriendly, and didn't take time to pay attention to our needs. We sat with dirty dishes for 20 minutes on the table and then waited another 20 minutes to get a dessert menu. We love Earth, but the service was lacking, as was the personality of the server. Too bad because he did not fit the caliber of the restaurant at all.
The food was absolutely first rate. The only thing that was better than the food was the ambiance. The outdoor dining was closed the night we went but we went early and had a cocktail outside by the fire pit and enjoyed our cocktail and swapped stories with a nice couple we met. Without hesitation we would go back.
The ambiance and small details made the whole experience! Great staff and the food was spectacular. We had the chicken and it was delicious and creative flavors. The only thing that I would recommend is that is was HUGE!!! Way too much food for even 2 people. I would recommend doing a half portion so that people can still eat that, but that isn't the only thing to enjoy for the whole meal. The lobster with rice noodles and the donut dessert were incredible! Splendid job!
The very expensive paella was good, but very small and mostly rice, with a few mussels and clams and a small one inch piece of chorizo and the tiniest sliver of lobster.
It has a great atmosphere and I have had pizza and apps here in the past that were very good.
One of the best atmospheres in Maine. Really lively, fun and unique. Food was good (great desserts!). Only negative was that we were served 6 dishes at once-- 2 snacks, 2 salads, 1 appetizer and 1 pasta-- even though we had ordered in 2 stages. Impossible to enjoy every dish! Luckily we then had a 20-minute break before entrees.
There is a new chef at Earth. The menu has not changed much, but the meals are less inspired that under the previous kitchen team. The subtlety is gone from our favorite dishes, such as the salads, which are now overdressed and too garlicky (in one case-and we like garlic). Same is true for the mains, which look like the old dishes, but do not taste the same. We realize that a new team takes time to get going, but if you are expecting the same fair as before, you will be disappointed. Sad...
Restaurant came highly recommended.

All the new hot spots are all hype recently.
Choices were extremely limited. Found none of the appetizers appealing so started with a snack. Main course of duck, again choices limited, average. Dessert was excellent.
If you need to be "Hip", this is your place.

Fantastic experience at Earth. My friend and I shared a few different dishes, everything was incredible and the service was great. Atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. Love that it's in a bit of a secluded area, perfect setting for a farm-to-table style restaurant. I will definitely be back!
Great evening with Mom and daughter. Salad was amazing as were oysters and the pizza. Everything is so fresh and tasty. Then it was salmon, homemade pasta and the chicken - best check one ever !! I never order chicken in restaurants because I think I make a mean chicken myself but this one was out of this world !!! Great cocktails and wine list. Sad we couldn't make it to dessert !! Service was fabulous. The lady who served us was great and very helpful.
Our expectation for a "farm to table restaurant" would include not only locally sourced meats, seafood and poultry, but an abundance of local farm fresh fruits and vegetables. My panzanella salad was not fresh and did not contain basil or other herbs. The lemon sabayon that I expected with fresh berries came as a molded gelatin lemon dessert with about four berries. I also felt that the description of my entree was not accurate. The waiter encouraged me to get the chicken entree that was supposed to be for two. It was described as being steamed and then briefly fried, with a meyer lemon, honey mustard glaze. The chicken was tender but with only the slightest lemon flavor. The "glaze" was the reason I ordered it. The small panzanella salad and corn would not have served two. My husband chose a beef appetizer because it was supposed to be spicy, but it was not. He really enjoyed his paella which he said was excellent. While we loved the environment and our waiter was wonderful, we hoped for a better dining experience.
We have dined at Earth several times over the past few years. Unfortunately this meal was not one of the memorable experiences. The low lights included undercooked (but flavorful) gnocchi, duck preparation that lacked flavor and was tough and a so so paella. The monkfish was excellent as were the desserts (donuts and sundae).
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Earth this week! The restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth the trip down the back roads of Kennebunk/Arundel.
The minute you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the attention to detail in the way the dining room is designed. Dim lights, lots of natural woods, and friendly wait staff ready to welcome you for dinner.
We started with the stuffed squash blossoms - perfectly fried in a light batter and stuffed with goat cheese. I had the poached lobster served atop a succotash of corn and chorizo - it was delicious. My dining partner enjoyed her fried rice noodle dish as well.
Overall, a very memorable dinner. Hope to return again before they close for the season.
This restaurant is a hidden gem and we felt like we were tucked in the woods in a cozy Colorado lodge, or better yet a cozy Maine lodge. The food was awesome and our waiter a delight. It was a special occasion so the prices were easier to absorb. Happy to highly recommend Earth!
