Earnest Bar & Hideaway
Reasonably priced entrees like the 32oz. Bone Ribeye and Grilled Pork Tenderloin. However, the Korean Fried Chicken has already established itself as a Earnest Bar & Hideaway classic. Saturday & Sunday brunch is 10:30AM - 2:30PM! Don’t miss out on the Ribeye French Dip sandwich, Brown Butter Pancakes, Hot Chicken & Mac! Wash it all down with Bottomless Mimosas.

Made a dinner reservation for a group of 6 and the experience could not have been better. Everything from the service, to the wait staff, to the food were absolutely fantastic. I had visited Earnest's previously, when it was Hemingway's, but it has gotten even better with time. Earnest Bar & Hideaway will continue to be one of my top recommendations for friends going to Nashville and I will be back!
Patrick was awesome as our server
Alex our waiter was wonderful, food was extremely tasty! Great Brunch!
Always a great place to find reasonable priced drinks and exciting menu. Come hungry because portions are generous.
Food was decent, but they had one sever working all tables the night we were there. The server did a great job attending to us, but we had to wait a while to get our orders in. Don’t think I will be coming back.
Service was simply too inattentive and very slow. We waited to get drinks, waited again for close to an hour for our entrees. They were out of bread!
Had a crew out for brunch, and we loved it! The French Toast with spiced apples was a stand-out for me and most people at our table. Natalie took extra great care of us and was patient and kind, even though we trickled in just a few moments before the kitchen shut down for brunch. As a crew of industry kids, we certainly appreciated that. Great time had by all.
Gréât ambiance. Unique dishes.
Incredible food and service. We were looking for a quiet place with a good selection of beverages and great food.
We found it. We’ll be back!
Great experience! Very friendly staff. Food was delish had the pasta! yum
Fantastic atmosphere and dim lighting. The brussels sprouts small plate was divine! I love that they have a vegan option on the menu however I went for the market fish which was grilled redfish. It was awesome! Served with green beans, new potatoes, with a balsamic glaze on top. I would definitely eat there again!
Truly enjoyed this meal before we caught a show at Flamingo. We'd never been before and easily got a table on a Thursday night. The restaurant is charming (we loved the checks presented in books), and the food was yummy. Our server was friendly, but a little distant, and we were worried we'd be late our show because we didn't see her often. Ultimately, we were fine, and would definitely go back!
I love this place, the food gets better every time and drinks are amazing!
Always a great experience here. Service and food are excellent. A little noisy, but worth it for the vibe.
Had a great brunch. Sourdough French toast was just right.
Wonderful atmosphere! The food had incredible flavor, the only downside was the portions.
We had a nice time, but a small 2 top back by the back door and kitchen was right in the flow of all the traffic. I can’t understand why a restaurant would seat us there when 75% of the restaurant was still open. We had a 6:15 reservation, and when we left at 8 there were still plenty of tables.
The Brussels sprouts were delicious. The pork chop was very good, but the cold slaw on top wasn’t a good choice on their part. It was a bit flavorless. The meat was perfectly cooked and pretty well seasoned. Overall the experience was good, but not overwhelmingly fun, fancy, or special.
Food was good, but pricy and small quantities. With the price of the entrees I was not expecting screen TVs and young children running around. Had hoped for a bit more of a special evening.
I was very excited about dining at this place, because I had heard great things, but by the end of it, I left just feeling underwhelmed. I liked the look of the restaurant, but it was almost completely empty on the weeknight we went which I found a bit surprising. The server was very good, professional, knowledgeable, and timely. I was torn between a cocktail or wine, because both lists looked excellent, and we ended up choosing a very nice bottle of wine that he recommended as his favorite. The food was what began to deflate my experience a bit. The fries that came underneath our poutine were clearly overdone tasting almost burned, and the hot sauce flavor within the dish was almost lost. I liked the squash and lobster beignets, but the latter seemed pretty expensive for a fairly average flavor. The brussel sprouts were my favorite first, although we unfortunately had to enjoy them with the peanuts on the side because of an allergy in our group. I’m sure if enjoyed as the chef typically serves them, they could be excellent. I do wish I had gone with one of our server’s recommendations for a main course. My pork chop had a host of issues. It was pretty unevenly cooked, too underdone in places (which is always better than overdone, but still) and too salty on the outside. The worst was really the apple slaw that accompanied it. I thought it sounded delicious on the menu, but in person it had an overpowering and unusual flavor that I wasn’t expecting, vanilla perhaps. It’s very rare for me to dislike something enough to not eat it, but this was the case on that night. I did box it to bring home to my husband. Overall, our group had a wonderful time, but I attribute it mostly to the company.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, it’s a attractive restaurant. Was a little frustrated at the little table they tried to put us in at first. We almost left. But, we were pleased with the nicer table we were moved to. The kitchen was really fast, even the waitress was surprised at how fast everything came out. Really would have liked to space it out a bit. However the food was really good. Scallops, cauliflower salad, poutine and the s’mores dessert were all fabulous.
This restaurant is very cute and comfortable. I had the hot chicken and Mac, it was delicious. Fair warning it is very spicy haha but worth it!
Wonderful experience!! Scallops absolutely melted in my mouth! Pork chop shared and delicious!!
We brought our wine for a corking fee!!
We will most definitely return!
Loved the lobster beignets! Also cocktails!! Will be coming back here with friends or on dates!
My second visit. Food quality was disappointing. Service was also nonexistent. Was celebrating an Anniversary. Never was mentioned. I will not go back. .
We enjoyed many great meals in Nashville, BUT I have to say that Earnest Bar & Hideaway was over the top excellent! Will definitely travel back to this restaurant on my next trip!
Great brunch, great ambiance.
BEST cocktails - bartenders are knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and know how to make specialty and classic cocktails. Food is great - everything on the menu is tasty!
GO. You won't regret it.
Everything we ordered was delicious! the friend chicken was amazing and great cocktails
3 scallops were great but not on the value side.
We went for brunch/lunch on a Friday. There was no one there when we got there. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. The food was good. The end of the meal service was very slow (as I think they only had one waiter at the time). Finally he came by and asked if we needed anything else, and we said no just the check. Then it took another 10-15 minutes to get the check. We had our cards in hand ready to go, so we could get them processed before he left the table again. I would recommend the restaurant, but maybe they should prepare staffing better. We had a reservation, so they knew they would have at least a few tables.
Our entire experience was just average.
Always great food and drinks
Good wine, beer and cocktail menus. Food was great. Building is very cool
Great food in nice atmosphere. Great drinks too. One of our 'go to' places.
Our 3rd time for dinner with family. Great again! Food, drinks & deserts!
The cocktails were great and the food was good, but service was spotty.
We arrived promptly at 8 PM (our reservation time) and were seated right away. After that, service crept. We waited too long to order, too long in between courses, and then they did things like deliver a bowl of soup with no spoon, delivered five of our six entrées and left us all waiting for almost 5 minutes before the sixth arrived, and delivered dessert with no utensils.
Prices were high for what we got, and for the level of service. I hadn’t planned to tip 20% because service wasn’t up to par, but a 20% gratuity was added to our check automatically. I think a group of six is too small for a mandatory gratuity.
I doubt we’ll be back, except maybe for a cocktail.
Excellent food, wonderful service, fun cocktails, and a great atmosphere. Although, this is not the place for anyone with a seafood allergy, fair warning!
Good food and excellent cocktails. Nice open atmosphere
Not great for lunch - especially during the week. Not a ton of salad/healthy options and the noise levels were high despite there only being 3 or 4 groups sitting at the same time.
