Brunch was just right, patio is outstanding
Thank you for the great review! We are glad that you enjoyed your brunch and your time on our awesome patio. It's beautiful all week so we hope to see you back soon!
Josh was fantastic thanks
Hi John, Thank you for the great review and we are glad you enjoyed your visit. We will pass along the kind words to Josh!
Our server went above and beyond - exceptional service
Thank you for the great review. We're glad you enjoyed your visit, and we'd love to know who your server was so we can give them the proper recognition! Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Great place to meet for food and drinks. Large selection of both.
Hi Colleen, I'm glad you enjoyed your recent visit and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Love the brunch happy hour.
We enjoyed the food and service. However, the restaurant was quite noisy - perhaps because the reservation was for 1800.
Everything was great as usual.
We will be back again....hopefully the rain will stay away and we can enjoy the patio.
Great place...this was my first time there. Food was amazing and the was just as amazingly great.
Our recent experience at Earl's (Macleod Tr.) was beyond amazing...& then some. From the new Manager, Dan, right down to the waitress, Cassandra (18 year old, Cassie) & the beautiful young ladies that greeted us at the very front & took us to our reserved booth - everything was extremely well handled. Everyone was unbelievably courteous & it made for a very enjoyable evening.
We will definitely be back soon.

Thanks for the amazing review Candy & Mike. We loved serving you and hope to see you back soon!
I had lunch with two friends from work. We had a pleasant meal on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient. I particularly enjoyed the tortilla soup as it had a nice kick to it.
I have been going to earls in Calgary since their arrival in the 80s. Whenever I return to Calgary I make a point of visiting. They have never failed to deliver quality food and good service.
We had to ask for someone to take our order after waiting 20 minutes, we had to ask for salt and pepper after the meal was delivered and they forgot to bring us the side dish we ordered.
Happy hour was enjoyable as ever. I tried the new cucumber gin cocktail which was very refreshing. I also had the coconut prawns as an appetizer. It comes with a tasty dipping sauce. The service was great as usual. Friendly and efficient but not hovering. Next time - the patio!
I’ve been to this Earls & to the other Earls many a time. I can’t tell u how disappointed I was when my Blackened Caesar Salad arrived. Being w/ friends I haven’t seen in a very long time, I didn’t want to start explaining & arguing w/ a waitress, Chef or a Manager. The salad was half full, the chicken was three strips & there was 2 croutons. The side bread was the same, as every other time. Since this is the only meal I eat when dining at Earls, I know the size it should be - especially for the price.
Again, very disappointing, b/c it must have been done as a ‘lunch’ rush. The usual excuse “it was weighed” & “measured” doesn’t cut it.
Great food, amazing patio and an awesome happy hour! Only downfall was a 20 minute wait for being greeted by a server. We enjoyed the patio during this time, but it was not busy so poor service made it less enjoyable.
Food is great but portion sizing is very inconsistent
Food was absolutely delicious. Perfect proportions. However the menu is quite small so limited selection made it hard to decide what to eat. But what was ordered was great:)
I’ve been here a few times but they really did a great job with their Mother’s Day brunch. Great menu and service and everything was half off. I can’t wait to go back
Great food, good variety, fun atmosphere and nice daily specials, but, smaller portions with a higher price tag.
The main dining room was very loud and that made it difficult to hear those across the table.
Food was very good and allergies were taken seriously (much appreciated).
The server never refilled our water glasses and forgot our refill orders for soda water and coffee. She used the same excuse both times - “I’m sorry, it slipped my mind”. No big deal but annoying at the same time. To be fair, it was busy when we first arrived but was much quieter when we asked for coffee refills.
Great food with good service! Well done....thank you!
Good place for a nice meal.
Great as always.
We waited almost 1hour with reservation for the wItres to take our order
The service was timely and polite however the food was sub standard. The calamari was almost inedible. Overly crispy and flaky - as if reheated. Santa Fe salad was little more than a plate of leaves and chicken. Server took it away and agreed. The plate was returned to me as is and I was presented with bowls of all the salad fixings to make my own salad. Next time I will cut out the he middle man and make it at home. Very disappointing experience.
We are usually there 2-3 times a month and have not had a bad experience. Unfortunately today things went sideways with the food and the service. We ordered a chicken Santa Fe salad with the dressing on the side. We received chicken under a bunch of leaves. Little corn, no black beans, no dates, no cheese. The waitress took the plate to show everyone, came back with the same plate and had someone drop off all the toppings so we could add them. Why not just fix the salad when showing everyone. Kung pow chicken also not great this time.
Not sure we will return.
Perfect, thanks for the great service!!
It was my birthday and my friends and I decided to have ladies lunch. Looking forward to it, the experience was very bad. 5 of us shown a table which was ok but the server was simply terrible. He was very condescending and disrespectful to our special request ( no alcohol ). The food tasted well but my friend ordered chili chicken with wontons and it had plastic in it. The server took it back but no manager came to aplogize it or any assurance. After 30 mins enquiring the server about the etiquette regarding manager to come to us, the manager then showed up and said they Took care of the dish. Anyways overall experience was very average and customer experience was very poor. Never going back that’s for sure and ruining your special day.
15 minute wait to order drinks at a reserved table of 5. My friend and I each ordered the 6 oz sirloin steak, medium rare. Mine was ok, not exceptional, my friend's was so tough she couldn't chew it. It took 10 minutes to get our waiters attention to tell him. Her glass of wine was comped. My glass of water stood empty for 10 minutes and the waiter walked by several times but did not notice the glass or me trying to get his attention. I used to really like this place but not sure I'll be back.
Excellent time. No complaints. Quick service, excellent food and good value.
We go to Earls every Friday for Happy hour and have been doing so sometime. It was disappointing that we reserved a table for 5 and had a table for 4 but our server made the best of it for us.
Booked on line to reserve a table for 5:30 at about 4:45. Was able to get that time no problem. Had our table ready when we arrived right by the kitchen where the kids enjoyed watching the kitchen staff prepare our meals.
Ordered a seared tuna salad. The three small pieces of tuna did not justify the $19+ price. The chicken rice bowl was small compared to Moxie's menu. My husband and I had to shout across the tables due to noise level and we deliberately made an early reservation (530pm) to avoid crowds.
Terrible service. Attitude problem from our server. Food was not good at everything came out at different times
I really had a good time w friends that eve and it had a lot to do w the ambience. I always have a really good time at Earl's: the environment is relaxed & inviting, the service is always good and un-pressured. We ended up sitting there 3 hrs having had a good conversation and laugh. The Happy Hr prices are what brought us in that eve and kept us there as well.
Always enjoy the food and wine.
Food was ok, not sure why you would put shoestring fries with fish, but it was ok. some of the chips were over done, just made them crunchier.
Waitress seemed anxious to have us leave after we paid our bill, almost to the point of being rude. It wasn't even late or overly busy. Not like she filled our water when we were eating, she asks us once we have paid our bill.
Sry good as usual
