I gave advance notice in the booking that we needed to be out by a certain time. Despite this, it took 40 minutes for 3 of 4 orders to be served, and the fourth waited another 15 minutes. The servers tried to be gracious about this, and we were served complimentary dessert. However, the pace of the service still needs to be improved for business lunches.

Wir haben während unserer Rundreise verschiedene „Earls“ besucht - dies war leider das schlechteste. Unser Tisch war trotz Reservierung nicht fertig eingedeckt. Der uns zugeteilte Kellner war nicht einmal bei uns, die junge Frau, die eigentlich nur zum Tische abräumen zuständig war, hat dann den Service übernommen. Sie hat ihr bestes gegeben, aber die Wartezeiten für Bestellung und Getränke waren lang. Auch das Essen dauerte, und mein Steak war nur noch leicht warm, die Trüffelnudeln auch nur lau. Dazu schrillte 30-40 Minuten ein Feueralarm. Das Ambiente auch nicht so schön wie in anderen Restaurants. Klare Empfehlung dagegen das Earls in Yaletown!

From the minute we arrived, we were seated promptly, by a very friendly host, even though we had made a last minute reservation. We were looking for a restaurant which served entree-sized salads and Earl’s Cobb Salad was absolutely perfect! We added blackened chicken to one and grilled salmon to another and they were both excellent. Even though there was a bit a back up w/ our order, we were taken care of with professionalism and both our server and the manager made sure that we were served as promptly as possible. Even with the slight delay, we made great time and would absolutely recommend or re-visit the next time we’re in Vancouver. Hopefully, not in such rush! The ‘vibe’ is really cool…very comfortable even though it’s a lively atmosphere.

It is a great place after work for happy hours! My friend and I had few drinks and appy.. truffles fries are the best!!

Happy Hour Petit Steak and Frites great deal. Ordered cocktail and was disappointed when I was not told it was on the HH drinks. It cost way more than my steak frites!

Steak was tough and over cooked. Had to send it back. Server did not come ask how the food was and we had to call him over after 30 mins. I had to sit there not able to eat my steak (because it was burnt, overcooked and dry while I asked for medium rare) and my boyfriend finished his meal by the time I was able to send it back. Not a good dinner and horrible experience.
