Ordered the steak (medium rare) and sushi combo. Steak arrived medium to medium well done, hard, inedible and looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. After notifying our server, the manager was quick to fix the problem. Fresh steak, cooked medium rare. Service was great, but kitchen could use a lesson with timing their entrées better.
Lovely graduation dinner! Couldn’t have picked a better location. Food and service were excellent and the place was lively but not too loud for conversation.
Took a friend for the first time there- she loved it ! Our waitress took a bit longer for everything usually the service staff is more attentive we did have to hunt her down two times for a refill and the check. We loved our food /drinks/ experience.
First visit with another couple, enjoyed the apps and main course meals and a few Sam Adams beers, great service and fair pricing.
Hi Rick. Thanks for the great review! We hope to see you again soon
We were there for a mother’s day celebration. Everyone enjoyed their meal however I developed an allergic reaction and had told the server that I had a shellfish allergy. Fortunately it was not severe and I was able to treat with Benedryl. There must have been some cross contamination in the kitchen. I had been there before and the server we had took the precautions more seriously, discussed with the kitchen etc... Food was good though and for a busy day they handled the volume well and sat us in time.
Hi Maria, Thank you for taking the time to review. I am the dinner manager here at Earls Assembly Row. I am so glad you enjoyed your Mother's Day experience! However, we take allergies very seriously and the fact that you had an allergic reaction does not meet our standards. I would love to discuss this further. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at firstname.lastname@example.org
Overall it was pleasant dining experience & would recommend Earl’s to others. The only complaint is that it was very noisy and hard to hear what was being said.
Earls old fashioned with makers mark was $13. Therefore who could possibly feel appropriate charging $21(!!!) for bulleit old fashioned. One drink cost more than my whole dinner?!?!
Earls is a great spot to pop in while shopping at Assembly. You usually can get a table without much of a weight. The food is great and they also have a wonderful brunch. It is very loud.
Great experience from the host staff to the wait staff. Great food, great drinks, amazing vibes.
Food was excellent but service was horrible!
So much fun abc the food was absolutely delicious! Loved the music
Hi Diane. Glad you enjoyed your experience, hope to see you again soon!
Had a wonderful experience at Earl's. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The only thing is that it is very loud making it impossible to have a conversation. The wait staff found us a table that was in a quieter section. They even turned down the music. It was still loud but better. They went out of their way to help us and were eager to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. We will return again.
Hi Lily. Thanks for the review, hope to see you again soon!
Food is good for the most part but my steak was a bit overcooked. Appetizers were great sushi was great
The lobster Mac and cheese was so delicious! However, I got the chicken tacos and I did NOT like them. They had a weird taste to them and were very spicy. My husband got a burger and it was very good. I’ll be back to try other things. ( first time at earls)
It was my birthday so I was celebrating with my friend. We had a really nice waiter named Daniel.
The food was excellent. Service is great - we had a great time with family at the great restaurant. I highly recommend the salads and will be back.
Our server was fantastic, and the food was awesome!
Loved it! Food was amazing definitely going back again!
The wait time was good, used open table to get a reservation. Service was great from what we could tell, outside of our server. She was pretentious, rude, never smiled, snooty and never checked on us. With her standing there, I asked my mom if I could have her water, as mine was finished, the server kind of stood there, dropped off our appetizers and left. The day manager came by 5 mins later, filling water at the table next to us and making small talk. I asked him if he wouldn’t mind filling my glass and proceeded to tell him our server was the worst. He said Amber, I replied I guess cause she never told us her name, Barney spoke to us, made zero eye contact, rudely didn’t get our drink order, wrote nothing down and got almost everything wrong.
The day manger was fabulous!!!! He must have said something to her cuause she was slightly better. The food was tasty? Only wish she had brought the correct wings cause the buffalo was too hot.
I would recommend just make sure you don’t take Amber. The bar area was beautiful and everyone seemed happy except for Ambers customers but the manager Wesley was a class act and an asset to Earls. Way to go Wesley for making the customers your focus!!!
The Impossible burger and the other food my friends ordered were absolutely fantastic! Service was also great as hostesses checked in to see if we needed anything occasionally. Would definitely come back again with others.
The service was great and SARAH R. is amazing. She cane over and spoke to me because she remember me from a previous visit, remembered my order etc. She is so on point.
Excellent experience, across the board! Hostess didn't flinch when we needed to adjust the party size of our reservation last minute, waitress went above and beyond to accomodate the child we added on, and you can't find better food for brunch happy hour prices.
Food need some tweaks to go from good to great. Too much sauce on the teriyaki bowl. Fried chicken overly fried and needed more seasoning.
Amazing place! I love coming here! Ambience & everything is great! Cant wait to go again.
Our first dinner here was fantastic! We started off with some wonderful drinks - Strawberry Moscow Mule and Spanish Gin & Tonic - both very refreshing, along with the chicken tacos for an app which was full of bold yummy flavors. For dinner, I had the blackened cajun chicken with warm potato salad which was absolutely delicious. (Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had!) My boyfriend had the beef bibimbap which he said was great too. Overall - flavorful food and great service. Would definitely come back again. We’ve also been for brunch - and that was great too!
needs a larger kids menu, there was only 2 options, the chicken was not plain chicken but barbecue which was not noted on the menu
Easily my favorite spot in greater Boston. Fabulous drinks amazing food and a terrific ambiance!
It was so cold in the restaurant!
It was way to loud. With a party of 4 we could barely converse. I will never come again with more than 2 people. We thought the menu prices were good but drinks too expensive - not value for the price
Great steaks, quiet and friendly atmosphere in the afternoon
Great service by Danny. Brunch was delicious and atmosphere was fun and inviting. My friend found an egg shell in her avocado toast, yuck! Otherwise the meal was enjoyable.
An absolutely amazing experience, from the moment you walk into the restaurant. The service is by far the best I’ve experienced in a long time, the wait staff is outstanding, and the food selection phenomenal.
The location of the restaurant is fantastic, facing the Mystic River.
Perfect evening, I wish I could give it 10 stars!
When we checked in at 5, they asked us if we could be out by 7-7:30 for a large group. I said we would try, but honestly, we were meeting up with friends that we hadn't seen in a while, and if we're at a table spending money, I don't want to be rushed out. So 7:15 comes and we were winding down. The manager comes over and says, "So you were told that we needed this table when we seated you, you're now 15 minutes over. We're happy to move you to another table and buy you a round." Which was nice of them, but made it sound like we were really putting them out by lingering over dinner beyond two hours. So they moved us, and then no one sat at our vacated table until 8:45, and it was a couple, not a large party.
Once we were moved and had our comp round, no one came to check on us. It was just very odd. To make the evening even weirder, my husband's card was charged twice, and now we have to wait and see if the extra charge drops off or if we need to talk to them.
I always have a great time at Earl's. The food and ambience are great. The staff is great and very professional. Love the dining experience
Too loud for our party
Waiter was not on his game
It was our first time visiting Earl’s kitchen. Amal was our waitress and she was awesome not overbearing, gave us just enough attention. The menu was small with a variety of different food to chose from. The guacamole and chips were delicious. I had the rib and Cajun chicken combo with warm potato salad was amazing and my husbands burger was perfect! Our food came out promptly. We will be back soon!
Super loud. Basically lost my voice by the time I left. Had reservation for table of 5. Was put at a tiny horseshoe shaped table. Our knees were touching and the plates couldn’t even fit it was so tight. Took forever to get the waitstaff over. Had to ask a different server to find someone after 15 minutes waiting. Don’t think management is too concerned with getting repeat customers. They will do well based on location and the millennial bar crowd. Casual diners seem to be overlooked.
