Great time and perfect booth! Thank you! Moscow Mules were outstanding!
Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the server was very pleasant. Sushi and clam chowder were absolutely excellent! Caesar salad was a tad over dressed and that little anchovy bite. Could just be my opinion though.
Great spot for lunch if you are in the area. The menu offers something for everyone, and the service is consistently top notch.
We had reservations at Earls on a Sunday night at 5pm for an 8pm Red Sox game. When the waitress came to our table she started telling us all the things they were out of: wings, avocado, strawberries, certain beers and cocktail mixes. I don't remember the whole list but it was an odd experience for me to come to this big restaurant and have so many items not available which affected many of the menu items. We were able to get some type of "avocado mash" on certain burgers and sandwiches. So after she told us this she left and didn't return, not only that - I didn't see her in the restaurant. We were all sitting there waiting a good 15 min then I got up and was walking around trying to find her. I found someone else and asked them to send over our waitress. She appears after a few min and took our drink order - of course, the guys kept trying to order all the items they were out of and she was a good sport about that. She was fine after that - maybe she was on a break or something. There were 6 of us we all had simple stuff, fish tacos, burgers, a few apps each had a drink or two and the bill with the tip was over $300. It was fine but there are many other restaurants at Assembly square I would try before I went back to Earls again.
Been going there for years. Huge fan. On this latest occasion the blonde server Jackie in the bar area did an outstanding job.
We dined at Earls for Sunday brunch around 11AM. The restaurant was decently busy, but we were able to put a reservation in so we didn’t have to wait. All breakfast menu items were $9.75 before noon, which was a great deal. We got the hot wings, a 3 egg breakfast, chorizo hash & steak and eggs. The wings were great. The 3 egg breakfast was good, but kinda skimped on the potatoes & bacon. The chorizo was great & a much larger portion. The steak and eggs were very sad looking. The eggs were over hard instead of over easy & there was 3 ounces of steak. Three tiny pieces that hid under the overdone eggs. If we paid full price for that, we would have been angrier but we let it go since it was almost half the price. Everything else was great. The server was super nice, the drinks were priced very well ($5.50 mimosa & $5 mule). We frequent Earls and will definitely be back for brunch again in the future!
Food is good. It is so loud you can't hear the person you're sitting with even at brunch. The service is honestly terrible. It took 40 minutes to get 3 simple lunch orders, and our waitress spent the whole time talking to her boyfriend and bringing him food at the table next to us.
Excellent food, drinks, and service! Many thanks to our server, Elrick, who was attentive and provided great suggestions on food and beverages. He is the best!
I've been here twice now and the food is subpar at best. Ordered the ceasar sald and the lettuce looked like they had just thrown it on a plate and barely chopped it. I'm talking huge lettuce leaves and some were not fresh. The chips tasted burned. I also had brunch here once and they served me avocado toast with a freezing cold slimy egg as if they had made it the day before and refrigerated it.
Had lunch here. We ordered the Coconut shrimp, Dynamite Roll (Cooked sushi), Street chicken tacos and Impossible Burger. The food was great but service was just ok.
Fun time always!
We were late for our reservation and were fortunate that Matt held it for us. (Thank you Matt.) Service with Adam was mediocre. (Slow) Food was very good.
Beautiful restaurant with good food and service in a great location.
Excellent service from waiter and hostess. Excellent salads and drinks.
We decided Earls was a better deal than staying at Encore.
I love the brunch at Earls. I have been to the one at the Prudential many times and I love it. I highly recommend the restaurant to friends. The ambience is great and the value is fantastic. It seemed our server was not happy to be serving us. This was the only issue. I will still go back and I still recommend the place ... but I am going to make sure I don't get the same server!
I would recommend Earls to my millennial friends without question. I would think twice for my friends and family over 40. The noise level (let's blame the sound system) was a bit too high for casual conversation for the over-40 set. I asked for the volume to be turned down, which it was, but why should I have to do this?
I arrived with my spouse and our NY friends. They love the place and here for brunch. Notice the oven is broken and no waffles, feel disappointed. Fool and service are awesome. Price value is decent.
We got small plates and they were just okay. The coconut shrimp had little taste to it. Sitting outside is very nice but inside is extremely noisy. Our waiter was great . Really good service
I met up with a friend before the movie and it was a quick and fun place. The food items were trendy with a fun variety - we both found something we enjoyed!
Earls kitchen + Bar in Sommerville is refreshing with a creative and interesting menu. The entire staff members were professional and accommodating with seating selections and menu recommendations. Fun place to go with friends.
Lively atmosphere. Good brunch. They Could not make the waffles, unfortunately.
My family and I decided to go to Earl’s in Somerville for dinner. Well, we were in for a surprise that’s day.
The utensils were dirty, the table had food from the previous party, the menus were gross with food on the pages.
What topped our experience was the oven was not working and they couldn’t broil or blacken the food we came there for.
My complaint - not so much that the things mentioned were dirty...because every restaurant has an off day...but why not share with people before sitting down, looking at the menu, and getting excited about their food, that the dang oven is out of service?!?!?!?!????? C’mon Earls, you guys could have done better.
Fun time, lively atmosphere. The oven wasn’t working so some items were off limits but our server was great and we were very satisfied with our meals.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We took our Nana for her 82nd birthday and our server - Sarah was phenomenal. She was able to make suggestions and even brought a delicious dessert to celebrate our Nana. The music was fantastic. DjPhatMatt was on top of his game the entire time we were there. Great food, service and ambiance!
Patio area was nice but service was incredibly slow. Took 30+ mins to get one of our party members drink and server brought wrong entree and didn’t offer to fix it - just offered a side of fries.
Price was a bit high for service/food quality.
Our server was great! She was attentive and really great. Would go back for the service alone (and the buffalo cauliflower).
This is a delightful place to have dinner. The price is a bit high for the offerings, but the food is plentiful, the service is great, and the location is easy to get to. Check it out!
I love Earls Kitchen + Bar as they have good drinks and food. Not pricey!
We went for brunch happy hour! Great food prices, but it was a little too loud. The live DJ could have been a little more controlled on some of the morning music choices or the location of the table to the sound system.
Great server, drinks and ambiance. Food was subpar. We frequent to Earl’s and were a little disappointed to be served cold french friends and a less-than-warm piece of chicken on the California chicken sandwich. Will absolutely return however, for the best spicy tuna roll around !
Great food but noisy!
Fun happy hour, tasty food and great service made this an enjoyable summer experience!
First experience at Earls. Food was good, our server was excellent. Strangely, they were already out of many items on the menu, including all chicken and teriyaki sauce. It seemed strange to be out of standard menu items before 1 pm.
We enjoy Earl’s both in Boston and Somerville. I have gone twice where they were out of a particular dish I ordered, which strikes me as odd. Both were chicken dishes. Picked something else and all was fine, but still???
Delicious Margaritas. Great service. Trendy ambience.
I loveeeee this place. I come here for the avocado super breakfast and mimosas of course.:
Maddi our server was a delight! Everything was great.
Way way too loud in this restaurant- a big minus for a place that has everything else perfect (food, service, menu choices, decor).
