The noise coming from the lounge was too loud and very difficult to talk to friends in the dining room close to the lounge. We were accommodated nicely with another table in a quieter area.
Cozy ambience in the lounge. Drinks were good although pricey. Appetizer was spinach dip with crostinis. Very good. Entree fish and chips with coleslaw. Fish was ok. Batter was a bit heavy and fish a bit dry. Lemon wedge was too small. Coleslaw was good. Overall it was nice but I found my bill was pricey.
Always great food and service
Courteous efficient service. We had the turkey dinner in celebration of Thanks giving. The meal size was generous and tastey.
Friendly staff and easy access. A bit noisy and service was quite quick. Easy to get a reservation and menu was varied for all tastes.
Met my daughter for Happy Hour. Enjoyed a few appetizers and wine. Great place to meet someone to catch up. Never felt like we were being rushed or when we asked for something that it was not an inconvenience. Food is always good. Always know what to expect when we go to an Earl's and if not, it is usually corrected.
Was disappointed the hostess did not request Covid passport. I presented her with mine and she seemed confused. My wife saw 2 couples go in without being checked. I did notice while dining the staff were requesting passports and ID’s. I would have thought all staff after 3 days would know the drill..it is to important to let anything slip.
We all had a nice lunch. Seemed very hungry until the end of the meal when we had to box our leftovers to go.
I booked in advance and told them to surprise my son with cheese cake, no questions asked! They came through, he was pleasantly surprised!!
We had a great server name of Genai .She was very attentive to our needs and very pleasant. Our dinner was wonderful and the presentation of the food was pleasing to the eye.
Great meal and great atmosphere
It was a nice evening out. Server took a bit to come to our table. But very friendly. Food was delicious
We have always enjoyed dining at Earl's and unfortunately have not over the last year due to COVID. We came here recently for a birthday dinner. Service was not as prompt as usual - our entrees took forever. The one appetizer - spinach dip - both the dip and especially the bread were cold - it used to be at least warm when we ordered it before. My order was not taken properly and although I received what I mostly wanted - the other protein item was not what I ordered but didn't want to send back for fear I'd have to wait another half hour. We do like eating here but the long wait for the food was a deterrent to say the least although we do understand that due to COVID - service has been a bit of an issue at many restaurants. I hope that they can fix it in the long run - we will be back though as we do enjoy their menu (which include plant based) and hope to see an improvement in the future regarding timeliness of being served the entrees.
Earls has always been one of my favourite restaurants but lately it has not been up to standard. This time we ate at the restaurant. First of all they got rid of my favourite drink so I was disappointed to go there and find out they got rid of it. It was busy so service was slow took about 20 minutes to get drinks then another 20 minutes to order food, took 20 mins to get appetizers and dinner. Our server kept forgetting to get things for the table so we had to keep asking. I always order the blackened Cajun chicken which comes with potato salad, they changed it alittle so it no longer has bacon bites. The last 2 times I have eaten at the Sherwood park location the food has been kind of disappointing.
Good brunch, great value for happy hour brunch would go again
I wanted to introduce some friends to Earl’s.
The waitress brought us glasses of warm water and then spilled the first round of drinks, 3 glasses of wine and 2 beers, breaking all of the glasses, resulting in broken glass and wine being spread all over the table and booth seats.
One of the people at our table had red wine and glass on their clothing.
A manager came over to assist and set us up at what looked like a makeshift table, and that was the bulk of any assistance she provided. She did not seem to be sincerely concerned about the incident.
After we were seated at the new table it took another 15 minutes to get our first round of drinks, and quite awhile to get our food.
We were charged full price for everything, including our first round of drinks. Any decent restaurant worth going to would have, at a minimum, not charged us for the first round.
The food was decent, but the overall experience was poor.
It’s funny, I asked the hostess if they had been busy, and she replied that they “hadn’t been busy lately”, and “she wasn’t sure why”…..
It’s not nearly the place it used to be, and there are better choices available in the area.
Service was good. Good was good but the waitress neglected to tell us her name. Dessert was delayed a bit so we had to inquire before it was delivered. But the food was great. Very tasty! The booths have plexiglass dividers between them to keep everyone safe. I'm sure that also helps with the noise between tables too.
A night out for appis with a friend on the patio! Delicious food! Always great selections!
Excellent food and our server was fantastic! We hardly had to wait for our meal to arrive. One of the best dining experiences I have ever had.
My wife, daughter & I experienced a superb dinner on Saturday, July 31, 2021. The food was excellent! We were served by Cassidy and she looked after us expertly. We were seated in the lounge and the atmosphere was delightful.
We had a lovely time on Earl's patio on Sunday. Everything was perfect right down to the weather. Our servers were prompt, courteous and attentive. Several members of our party commented they would come back again because they enjoyed their meals so much. It was a most enjoyable experience.
Thank you so much for the great review Carol! We are so happy to hear you had a wonderful time on our patio! Hope to see you soon! Ashley Samuelson General Manager
Went for a mommy/daughter/cousin date lunch. We waited over half an hour to get our drinks even after asking twice if our drinks were coming. Very poor service. Was disappointed as Earls is one of my favourite restaurants.
Earls is always a good stand by. Good food and drinks. Our server may have been new and was very pleasant but she left us after dropping our food for about 20 minutes, and then came and took some dishes from the table but left a plate and glassware. We sat unattended to for about 40 minutes, no drinks, no dessert, no bill. She did return and asked if we wanted dessert or more drinks, but by then we were ready to leave. She was very nice, and again, perhaps new, but the last half of our visit wasn't great.
Great service :)
Really enjoyed the vegan options, had the lettuce wraps and they were delicious and hubby enjoyed the sushi as well.
We hadn’t been to earls for quite sometime. We went there for my husbands birthday and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent and so was the service. We’ll be going back soon!
The music speaker was directly above my head and it made conversation difficult at times. Otherwise, everything was perfect and relaxing.
The wings were pretty skimpy for $16, the Sante Fe salad was skimpy on the additions (dates, beans corn etc) and the chicken was quite dry....my grandson enjoyed his Chicken Alfredo....service was soso....not bad...not great
Service was reasonable, Waitress was annoyingly trying to be friendly like we were her long lost friends.
Brought me the wrong order, I will go back because I know this was just a random thing.
Great tasting food, combined with excellent service, you cant ask for more, Thanks
We had a wonderful meal !Great to be out and about again. The atmosphere was fun and friendly.Great food great service.
Excellent food and service.
Reliable dining experience.
There were mistakes in the service and errors in the food delivered.
They were remedied but still inconvenient.
Always had good food here in over 20years. However my friend and I attended June 27th. She ordered a vegetarian lettuce wraps with tofu. She had one taste and could not eat it due to the soft texture and uniform tasteless seasoning. She sent them back disappointed that another option was not offered ie to crisp up the tofu or add seasoning or another dish. I was a little embarrassed to have suggested that I have never had a bad meal there. We still had cocktails and stayed late visiting inside the air conditioned restaurant.
Had Brooke as a server and she was great! Super awesome service, food, and ambiance!
Enjoyed a nice dinner out to celebrate our sons graduation. Food was very good and arrived quickly. Our server, Ann, was cheerful and helpful.
I almost always look forward to and enjoy a burger at Earls, but this one wasn't great. Bland, not juicy, seemed like a pre-made or frozen patty? Didn't seem char-grilled like usual. Liked the garlic fries better than the new truffle fries, and I'm a huge truffle fan. All still good though.
Our server was very pleasant, but we said we would be chatting a lot, so she told us to put our menus at the edge of the table when we were ready to order, but then still came and asked us at least four times if we were ready to order.
I will still go to Earls in the Park, we don't have many options there, but this location has become mediocre.
It was a great experience other than I didn't get what I had fully ordered. The server was very polite about it and I wasn't upset at all. However a little advice, I recommend repeating orders Back to customers so we know nothing is missed. It's an extra step but it will hopefully limit missing things. Over all earls is still my favorite restaurant.
Brunch was outstanding. Great food and service. Beautiful patio!
