Earls is one of our favourite dining experiences, we come from out of town to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere. This time we were a bit disappointed in the overall experience. I ordered a peppercorn steak which came out very bland, over cooked and the meat was tough. Our server was lovely but she never made it over to quality check our meal so She never had the chance to make it right. We had plans after so there was no time to wait for a new meal anyway. I put down in our reservation that it was my fiancés birthday and there was no special dessert offered or complimentary beverage or even an acknowledgement. The bill with tip was $150 and i wish we tried a different place that night to get a really amazing Vancouver dining experience. Earls hasn’t kept up with the trends and keeps taking off classic dishes that were our favourites - chilli chicken and the Jera chicken curry to be exact. Sadly, I won’t be making plans to revisit earls anytime soon.
good value, good food, great staff and great downtown location
Was happy with the service and the drinks. There was a table beside us that was pretty loud but the overall noise of the restaurant was nice. We enjoyed our time here.

Hey!!! So we LOVE Earls!! And we live just down the street at West Hastings so it’s an easy go to for breakfast. Happy hour or dinner!! However this morning was a tad disappointing...
Our sever was PHENOMENAL! Sweet, accommodating and always swung around to give us an update on our order!
Due to covid however we were unable to sit as a complete family therefore we were two tables apart. This created a bit of a conflict when it came to putting the food orders in.
There was a delay which was fine with us ( our two year old fell apart when some of us got our breakfast and she didn’t get hers 🙁) Still we were happy and understanding and it seriously wasn’t an issue; we worked around it!!
What was the issue was the server came out and apologized profusely for the delay and said two full
Breakfasts would be complimentary because of the long wait! SO THOUGHTFUL AND SO KIND!
Then the manager came out and also said the breakfasts would be complimentary along with the added negative comments that it was our servers fault because she put our orders in separate, not realizing we were actually together !!
I’m sorry but that’s poor management skills!! You DO NOT throw your staff under the bus after she worked her butt off to keep us informed as we never complained ONCE about anything she did or the wait ! She deserves the credit, not him! We will continue to frequent Earls but the manager could use a hard fast course in proper etiquette and skills on how to treat his staff!

Delicious food, cozy ambience and friendly staff.
We always feel welcome and are never rushed. All areas are super clean. Great menu with something for all tastes and appetites. Value for money and the chefs are consistent with presenting good quality food quickly. Wait staff and Manager are top class!
We dine at Earl's Robson once a week when in the city on business.
Maddie our server was fantastic as she has always been. The restaurant staff overall are fantastic as well. The food fantastic. Will be returning again and again.

Meh. not much of a view from their patio in the back which is where we were seated at. Food was run of the mill...nothing to die for. As it turned dark, I had to ask our server to turn on our patio lights cuz I couldn't read the menu as it was so dark. 🤔

The waiting time for food and drinks was horrendous. We waited 30 minutes just to get another round of drinks and between dinner and dessert another 60 min had passed. The server did not communicate the long waiting time and was not attentive to our table at the back patio. The food tasted good and I would have loved for only the kitchen to receive the tip instead of the server.
I made a reservation about 4 days in advance and put a detailed request that I wanted to sit on the back garden patio. When I arrived I was led to a dark booth in the dining room. I asked about sitting on the patio and was told it cannot be requested in reservations. Nobody called me from the restaurant in advance to notify me that this was the policy. I made the reservation online through OpenTable. We were advised that we could sit on the front patio after a short wait, but opted to wait another 20 min, and did get a seat on the back patio. The service was ok, the waitress seemed disinterested and rarely came by to check on us, but the food was good. We both had the summer berry salad with chicken. The chicken portion was extremely small so would probably get a double order next time. The white peach sangria was refreshing and tasty, but the glass arrived not even half full, and mostly ice, so that was disappointing. This location is notorious for giving hassles at the front desk, everytime I have a reservation, so it was not surprising that there would be another mishap this time. It's a shame that they consistently penalize people with reservations. There's too many other good restaurants out there to endure poor customer service at Earl's on Robson.

Had a nice time. Window ledges need cleaning. Cheerful service. Calamari overcooked. Drink glasses spotty, but drinks were good.
Rather slow service on a Sunday night, food was ok, but nothing special. Comfy outdoor seating

Great service-Caitlyn was great, very attentive
Outstanding safety and sanitary measures: including 2 metres apart for every table. Paper menus. Further, all bartenders, servers wore masks, and disinfectant was used thoroughly

-red wine was cold and substandard
No bread offered.
-the stafff were accommodating and friendly
-for the $70-it was not worth it
-ambiance was ‘cheap’ and the table I sat at was too high for the seat I was occupying.

Happy with this experience mainly because of our table spot. Of course there are other factors that made the experience better, such as the substantial space between occupied tables due to the current health measures. Staff was friendly and prompt. No issues and straightforward. Didn’t feel like we were rushed out of there nor denied table requests unlike cactus club.

Great food , and great service. Earls is doing a great job
Service was poor. Me and my friend ordered wine five minutes apart but hers came 20 minutes after mine. Server didn’t come back to take our order and we had to call upon another server to take ours. Food took a long time to come out. Server messed up our bills.

Table was not wiped down prior to us being sat at the table. It was evident that it was not sanitized in accordance with COVID regulations (it was sticky). This protocol should be corrected immediately and staff assigned to cleaning tables be re-trained. Suggest using signs that be put on a table that say “SANITIZED” so that hosts know what tables have been sanitized and cleaned in accordance with COVID regulations as per the BC PHO health order.
