Great menu selection and lively environment. Our waiter was on the ball too, food was delicious.
Good Experience! Husband loved the burgers!
I would recommend that they choose there neighbor tables well
We waited an hour for our food. It was just an awkward night at Earls.
We have been to Earl's many times and like the menu variety. This is the first time we have been where they had live music. The singer was lovely but we chose Earl's because we had a large group and wanted to be able to have conversation. We were yelling at our table, it was terrible. We asked them to turn it down and they said they could not. Finally they offered to move us to a smaller table further away. that was better but really it ruined the whole experience for us. The food was good and the service was great but we wanted dinner and conversation, not a concert. Ask about live music before you go.
Awesome brunch deal
The food was incredibly amazing. It has a beautiful modern interior as well.
Food and service were great...loved the big ice cube in my Scotch!
The food was lackluster; the guacamole had been frozen and was sour. The server was very nice but not well-trained in ingredients. Very pricey for the mediocre experience.
We had a few issues with our food and service, but the manager took care of the meal with the issue and the rest of our food was great. Place always has a cool atmosphere and noise level is reasonable even with it being a Saturday night.
server was not on top of it and not attentive not fulfilled our order.
Really attentive service, 3/5 of us got bottomless mimosas and our waitress came around for refills often. Food was good, and the brunch happy hour deal is really great
Incredible place with a great menu
The server was very attentive to our needs and restrictions. The food was amazing. I will definitely come back with friends.
The food, drinks and service was good, but you expect more for the price you pay. If you are going there for a casual drink, note that you will pay $12.00 for an almost empty glass of wine, or cocktail. For that reason, I did not order another glass of wine, and pay $24.00 for an almost empty glass of a beverage
Great food and great space.
Great value for sunday brunch - especially for drinks!
Even with reservation we waited at least 10 minutes to be seated.
Zoe came at once, Manager, then sent over server Kyle, who was not too prompt and generally lax during whole meal. Forgot condiments forgot to return with water- circled back to
Ask about food which was very good-
Experience would have been much higher grade with better server
Coconut Shrimp a big disappointment, mostly breading. Food mediocre - great venue and energy
I met some friends to see a movie and have dinner here afterwards and it was a great choice. I am so glad we made a reservation as it was packed on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The cocktails are great, and my friends loved the wine options. We got a wonderful booth that was perfect for group conversation. Our server was attentive and quick. The food was yummy, my only feedback is more choices please. Fun atmosphere, good vibe, good music, big bathrooms, fun crowd.
I just want to say that the waitpeople and receptionists are some of the sweetest, most efficient in Chicago. They take reservations, which makes things convenient. We always go to Earl’s after seeing films at Arclight. I prefer sitting in the dining room where it is quieter and no screens. That said, I have a happy feeling being at Earl’s. The clientele is diverse and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The food is good too. I especially like the salmon with mashed potatoes and their very good asparagus! The wine selection suits me, as well. So, I appreciate your presence in our neighborhood, Earl and company!
We really enjoyed listening to the guitarist!
We appreciated the variety of value options and happy hour. The menu seems more suited for a little higher end restaurant than this is. The restaurant description is inflated for what the place is. The guacamole was a little brown and runny and didn’t have much flavor but the burger and fries were good. The bar got really loud really fast. Staff was pleasant.
A very nice restaurant on the verge of greatness. Our waiter seemed new and a little slow but the atmosphere and food was outstanding.
Usually a great place. Had to send food back for them to get it right and they never checked back. When neither of the two dishes were eaten, they choose to ignore this and place the bill on the table. Last time I will go there.
Found Earl's quite by accident when looking for a dinner option after a movie. This was convenient to the theatre so we decided to give it a try, and it was GREAT! We would highly recommend Earl's!
The food was just okay considering the price. The fire alarm went off in the middle of our meal. No one from the restaurant ever said anything about it. Just pretended like it never happened. No one made a move to leave or told its it was ok to stay.
The service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and enjoyable. Food very good, lots of good options
Earl's is a cool spot - beautifully decorated with lots of food options. But it felt too fancy and overpriced for what it really was - like it's trying to be a super Instagrammable, trendy spot when it's essentially in a strip mall and the food is good, but didn't blow me away (especially the smaller portion sizes). Good for our business lunch - it was very quiet in there with maybe 20 diners - but I don't think I'd be back for brunch or dinner with friends on my own dime.
Really good food and good service. Had a live guitarist that was also a nice touch. Drinks were well poured and vibe was really intimate and chill. Highly recommend
Great place to warm up on a winter's day. The Bloody Mary's rock.
The service was excellent.
My family and I love eating here!
We came in for a late lunch and were seated in their large booth in the bar. The restaurant is very open, with windows all around and had a very casual vibe which is what we were looking for. We ordered the avocado toast which was just ok... definitely not worth the $9.50 and then had the burgers. I specifically asked for very well done and Wes very annoyed to see a bright red line down the middle.... this was cooked medium at best. As it took quite a while to even get our food which I couldn’t understand given that there were only 4 other parties there, I didn’t say anything. I do need to say that our server was polite and prompt. Overall, I’d only come back in the summer to sit on the patio which looked very nice for a drink.
We like Earl's Kitchen because it is convenient and the food is good. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, the wine we selected was not available. We were a little surprised because it was on the printed list, but sometimes that happens. Too bad our server could only recommend substitutions that were more than a 50% markup from what we originally ordered. That, despite the fact that the featured wine was slightly less expensive than our original choice. So beware when you order a bottle of wine.
Had a great lunch! They have a $20 lunch & wine special on Fridays - made for a great lunch with my friends.
My date and I each ordered the peppercorn steak. Please, do not order the steak here. This is a sports bar trying to be fancier than it really is. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done. 0 pink on the inside and the outside was CHARRED and CRISPY like it had been sitting on the grill for WAY too long. The side of asparagus was bland and had to be overly salted for any taste.
For anyone that reads this, please treat this place like a sports bar and order bar food like a cheeseburger. I’m hoping that they can’t mess up a burger for your sake.
we did enjoy Earl's for the food and the location that was ideal to the movie theatre. Where I would say we were disappointed was that the service did not seem to be very quick...Drinks took about 10 min after being ordered, we told the server we were on a time line that we were specific and it sounded like that was clear, but we almost missed the movie....I think part of that was on us not allowing enough time, but again drink service was slow, and drinks ordered up came on the rocks and visa versa, so some challenges there....but I would recommend it and just plan accordingly.
Earls has good food but very uneven service. I went to Earls with a friend after a movie. It wasn't very crowded. Our server was nice enough, just nowhere to be found when my dish arrived with cilantro all over the tacos after I requested they hold the the cilantro. We had to flag down other servers to get water refills. Our server only showed up at the end of the meal to drop off our check. The food was delicious, once I extracted the cilantro.
Not crowded when we were there for lunch, lots of variety in food available so it suited everyone. We were able to talk easily at our table and had a good time with out of town relatives. First time visit there for all of us. Delicious food and great service.
