Steaks are small and lack flavor. Chicken strips are good, wings are good, tried the side Ceasar twice it was soft both times, desserts are good. Chicken sliders are good.
The host, hostess and our waitress were so accommodating. My 13-year old daughter celebrated her birthday with 10 friends. Our waitress read the situation perfectly and was so patient and relaxed with the tweens.
Earl’s is a very welcoming restaurant with nice ambiance. I went with 7 friends and we were given separate checks which helped a lot. Bernie, our server, was outstanding and did an excellent job. She was very attentive. Big thumbs up!
Consistently good food, well prepared and attractively served.
Limited menu choices, however.
Wish there were alternative green vegetables to go with the entrees.
Great for dinner before the movies!
Great food and a good price! They were very busy when we arrived early. They sat us at our reservation time not earlier so we went to the bar. We tried some of their specials and they were very good. The place is very clean and friendly.
Great deal for brunch and mimosas. The food is good too. The service should have been quicker with refills with the bottomless mimosas. I do recommend this place for brunch!
We eat at Earl’s several times per year and the experience is always good. This time, our server was exceptional. While she was quite busy, she kept an eye out for any needs we might have. I wish I knew her name. Thanks for a great evening!
Good food and great service! We ordered the blackened Sirloin and Steak and fries and both steaks were great. Will definitely visit again!
We’ve dined at earls a few times and this was a very disappointing experience. They brought out the wrong food, a kids meal we didn’t order but were charged for and got no compensation for the mess ups. The kitchen even charged us to “fix” the order of tacos they messed up.
Great ambience and good food. I love cm=oming here for brunch! I left off a star because they ran out of one of the menu items. Otherwise I'd recommend to others and come back again!
Great vibe. I hosted a brunch for 8 people during "happy hour". Will definitely go back.
This is the first restaurant in chicago which did not treat me like money and let me and my friend relax even after we were done . They did not ask for check even when we were done and they took the plate , only when we requested check they would bring one which was very pleasant . They gave us our time and didn’t chase us out after we were done . Was an amazing experience overall . Will definitely be my spot for dates or friends get together .
Poor service and a special occasion wasn’t acknowledged.
Absolutely amazing! Will definitely be going back - the staff was very helpful and full of great suggestions. Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was very good!
Hi Julie, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback! We hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Tanya Kishan General Manager
Large menu with plenty of delicious options. They had 1/2 off bottles of wine the night I was there, which was great because their bottles are not cheap. The server seemed a bit inconvenienced that we were there. But the food was great and I will definitely be back when it is warm out to take advantage of that patio. If you have to drive, they do validate parking for the attached garage.
We've been going to Steppenwolf for years and stumbled across this place while searching for another place to eat after the show. I didn't realize that this was opened for 4 years. We loved our meals and we looking forward to going back again. By the way, we parked at New City, walked to Steppenwolf and then Earl's validated our parking ticket.
Excellent food and service!
Service wasn’t very great and food was overpriced for what you’re getting. Great space and good for fitting groups but overall not a great dining experience.
Another great experience here! The ambience is perfect for a weekend brunch and such a great price for the mimosa brunch!
Hi DCov, Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to leave us a review! Sincerely, Tanya Kishan General Manager
Great happy hour, and although our dessert was just NOT right the restaurant had no hesitation on removing it from our bill; Kudos......
Soup was cold, and upon asking for a new one, it was cold again - supposed to be a warm chowder. Salad was good, but it should be for $20...if in the area, worthwhile, but wouldn’t go out of way / not a destination restaurant.
Loved happy hour at Earl's! Great food and drink specials, beautiful light filled space and awesome service!
I recommend Earls for the food and the waitstaff service. The truffle fries, burger, and the ahi poke bowl are all great dishes. I have to call out how long it took for us to get seated with a reservation. The front of house manager had us wait for 20 minutes with a reservation with open tables in plain sight. If I didn't step up to confront how blatantly awful her deliberate delay was, we would have waited longer, I imagine. It never fails: whenever we make reservations at Earls, we are always asked to wait in sight of empty tables. This makes no sense! But on the night that this review is written about, it was so flagrantly bad how deliberate the waiting window was for those of us with reservations, when there were empty tables in plain sight of all us waiting.
Waiter was very attentive and I like the varied but healthy menu. My husband and I always find something to split and share. Drink specials and a really nice atmosphere - you feel like you’re in California or a suburb the space is so big and airy! I really enjoy this place for date night!
This place has the best brunch deal in all of Chicago! The bottomless mimosas are amazing!!
The server’s name was Sarah, and she made a really inappropriate comment to my husband which I did not appreciate at all.
Outstanding food and the price is right!
We used to come to this location all the time with positive experiences. They changed the menu and a couple of our go-to items and were disappointed.
Wait staff was very accommodating to our large group of 12 people. Menu is vast enough to please a lot of different taste preferences i.e. we had meat eaters and vegans at our table. All around a nice time with good food and great drinks.
We always have a great experience at Earl's. Service is always outstanding, and the food is yummy. It gets pretty loud on the weekends, but they are usually great about trying to find us a table just slightly out of the way. Thanks!
Came in for brunch with adults and two babies in strollers. The staff was nice enough to locate a space to accommodate both strollers. The waiter was courteous as we took our time playing with the babies before we ordered food or even sat down. The menu has something for everyone and not just brunch items. I had the California burger which was executed well. I ordered a medium well. My husband had the mushroom and chorizo hash which was OK choice. The burger was better. We shared the Keylime pie which was actually pretty good. I was disappointed that they ran out of the sticky toffee putting which only means that I would have to come back again to try it.
Good food. Very tasty. We began with the Korean wings and chicken sliders. Great for conversation starters. Salmon and steaks followed. Will return.
Great for our large party of 10. Gave us complimentary desserts for birthday and anniversary we were celebrating! Great selection on menu!
We hosted our board meeting over brunch and it was an amazing atmosphere to enjoy brunch and business!
Atmosphere was really fun. Not quiet but still a good place for a date. The lobster tostadas were solid and the steak deals were so so good. Also 5$ mules can’t be beat
Had mouth surgery last weekend so I couldn’t eat much. Our server recommended the scallop risotto. Great recommendation, flavor was wonderful. Service was great. Would definitely go back. We sat inside but the outdoor patio was super inviting & comfortable as well.
The location was ideal for our visit to the IO theater. The parking nearby was easy. We were seated right away, and the restaurant was beautiful. However, the music was very loud. The menu is extensive. Our appetizers were very good. The entrees were acceptable. Note that the steak options have very little vegetables, which was surprising. The service was very slow, but not because our waitress was not hustling. She had tables all over the large restaurant. Management should reconsider seating/stations to improve servers' ability to meet patron needs. Although we had an enjoyable meal, it is unlikely we would return, mostly because of the noise level and the odd entree issues.
I brought a large group of people for my B-day last year, and brought some of those same folks back this year. Earls did not disappoint! Appreciate the atmosphere, attentive service, and good food. Great for dining inside or out!
In the future, it would be helpful to specify which dishes on the menu are cold or hot. Other than that, no complaints!
Thanks for the hospitality!
