Earls Kitchen + Bar - Richmond
You can’t beat the brunch happy hour at Earl’s - the best. But even better was our waitress, attentive without being overbearing. I can’t remember her name unfortunately, but she was awesome!
Server was extremely nice and tentative. Food was good except that the chicken I ordered was very dry.
Food was tasty and hot, and fairly quick to arrive. Music and talking was so loud we couldn't hear our server or each other, so we went elsewhere for dessert and coffee. If the music was quieter people would not have to shout over the top. Will not go back with friends.
Really decent food for the price. Good brunch overall.
Music was a bit loud, would have preferred a quieter setting.
Friendly service, good Happy Hour choices, great food!
Had a lovely dinner, our server was wonderful, attentive and fun to talk to. Our meal arrived quickly and was very good. I would recommend this Earls.
Super busy at the time ((Friday 645pm) but the server was great, friendly and doing everything to get food out. Food was good quality.
Place was very noisy, loud so hard to hear our own conversation. We had our young kids with us so it was a bit noisy for them.
I don’t ever complain like this but needed to be done. Service was no good at all taking 15 minutes until I asked for someone to serve us. The burger and fries had a hair in it and they did nothing for us. The salad had so many black beans it should have been a Santa Fe black bean salad. Such a huge disappointment dining here.
Special thanks to the staff at this location for accommodating someone in our party that has an intolerance to dairy. They helped her select dairy-free options on the menu and recommended alternative sides as well. In lieu of a cream sauce, they provided a honey mustard sauce instead. They went over and above to be helpful and never made her feel like she was imposing on them.
The food took a little long to come but otherwise the service was really good.
Service was good. Food was nicely hot and fresh.
Just the only thing that always bugs me about Earls is that it is too loud. But I guess to be expected in a large space, which is the advantage when you have a group that all wants to go out together.
Noise level classified as "energetic"? Restaurant could put some sound dampening material on the ceiling. It's difficult to converse without shouting which is why everyone is speaking loudly.
If you love salt, the yam fries had so much salt on them you could see the salt. We had to call the server and comment that they're too salty and he had them replaced with almost burnt albeit less salty yam fries. The potato salad and Cole slaw also way to salty. The garlic fries were perfect. I had the Tuna Poké which was quite good.
The waiter never asked us how the meal was at any time and we had to flag him down for the yam fries, and ask for the check. The starters being the garlic and yam fries, arrived well after we had started the main course.
It's a popular place, but try other upbeat places like the Ca*tus Cl*b instead.
The server forget to fill our water and finally got it after asking 3 times. The dry rib was really dry like rock. I don't think I will return to Earls in the Richmond location anymore.
Super quick getting seated. Server was a bit slow, but nice. Kitchen messed up appys but server was quick to get it fixed. Mains for my hubby and I were not the usual flavour and kids food was on the cold side. Must have been an off night as normally food&service are on par.
Great gluten free pizza and the service was great!
Happy hour brunch is the best deal
Emma was amazing all the way to the hostess at the front desk.
The food was lukewarm and incredible over salted
Great brunch menu
We enjoyed our meals very much.
Our waitress & hostess were amazing! I only gave low point
for noise level as sitting outdoors
with planes flying overhead was
annoying. Thank you & will definetly
be back soon. V. Smith.
Great setting and love the happy hour options and the service is always great
Had brunch this morning - awesome brunch happy hour and a beautiful seat on the patio. Can’t be beat for a nice brunch on a Sunday! Ample parking as the location is at Lansdowne Mall.
Earls has the best selection for happy hour! We were very pleased with services
The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing and I really appreciated that there was no music on the patio as well. It really allows all the customers to be able to talk to one another without having to yell over loud music. Food wise, I chose this restaurant specifically because of the variety of plant based options. As a vegetarian, this is very appreciated: having more than 1 choice but also the fact the choices were on the first page as well. This was mine and my friends first time here as we usually go to cactus club. Based on this experience, I would choose this over cactus club.
I usually enjoy Earl's but this experience for a birthday dinner was disappointing. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived so I expected better service than received. Staffing was minimal and our server had very little help from other staff. Not sure I would return to this location based on this experience which was a milestone birthday.
Prices are very affordable...and the patio is the best in Richmond!!!
Decent food, good service but their new menu selection appears to be smaller than before with the exception of all their plant based items.
The background music soundtrack is quite annoying. It is not nice easy listening music but louder, younger almost hip hop. This location gets a great number of seniors younger and quite advanced. This music is a real negative.
Fantastic value and very good service we will come back again
servers are very accommodating and friendly in terms of choosing our table. we asked for hot water a few times because we had a long lunch with a friend from out of town, and the servers made us feel
welcome to stay and chat.
Our experience would have been a lot better if our brunch food didn’t come out cold and waited for 30-40 minutes before our food arrived ....
I've been to this Earl's many times. It's really hit or miss. This last time our service was pretty bad. We waited 20 mins each time to get our server. We went in for two drinks and it took 1.5 hours.
My tacos were so bad. The lettuce was wilted and it was just sad. Cauliflower bites came out 35 minutes after I ordered and were cold.
Excellent service and the food was great! We had a great time for our company's lunch!
Server was super friendly and even suggested leaving out the herbs in the pasta (is told him it was for the kids). Been there a few times and it’s consistent.
very accommodating. service was a little slow because restaurant was busy but was not too bad
Texan, skeptical of Mexican food in Canada was very pleased.
All good we all like it
