Earls Kitchen + Bar - Bridge Park - Burnaby Ratings and Reviews
Service is slow and getting worse. Servers need to learn how to pronounce the names of food and wine as they sound like they know nothing when they pronounce words incorrectly. Lastly when I ask for the bill, I️ expect the bill to be presented within 10 minutes not 29 with a lame excuse that doesn’t make sense. Although I️ frequent your restaurant a few times a week, I️ find the service horrible
The staff here is absolutely fantastic! They accommodated our many changes and adjustments and made the night memorable! Special thanks to Chloe for doing such a great job helping us and bring so pleasant and upbeat! This is great to see as it happens in so few restaurants these days!
Great ambience and service, beautiful waitress! However, food was disappointed! Dishes served were not hot enough, fried coconut pawns were not fully cooked even replaced the second time. Shirlon obviously was frozen beef. Will not come again for the quality of food.
Very disappointed on this occasion. It was my birthday. The hostess pointed to a table, didn’t really seat us. The restaurant was virtually empty. I ordered the salmon dish which came with seasonal vegetables. The server didn’t tell me they would be covered in whipped cream. Our order was delivered by another server. No one asked how our meal was. My birthday was not acknowledged and our server was hard to locate. I will not celebrate anything special here again. I love Earls but not this time. 😢
Nice outdoor eating area on a warm sunny day. Service very slow and confused. Brought food to a couple people at our table, but probably took another 30 minutes before everyone else was served. They put some food down, but then took it back thinking it was the wrong table, and then brought it back again. A pizza was burned and returned, but the same pizza was brought back a few minutes later. Very slow, frustrating experience. Wouldn't go back.
Service was awful. Had to wait quite awhile to place our order. Once we did, they forgot to put our order in and when they did, food took a long time to come. The manager did come and apologise and brought some bread as peace offering. Service didn't pick up after that. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, we had to ask. When we finished eating, weren't asked if we wanted dessert. We had to ask for dessert menu. Then it took awhile for our dessert to come. Weren't asked if we wanted coffee or tea with dessert. Just overall bad experience. Will not be going back to this place or any other Earl's location.
My friends and myself all enjoyed our dishes. The waiter was very attentive. The only down side was the noise, it was difficult to have a conversation with people I hadn't had dinner with in over a year. I don't think that is something that can be controlled. But the tasty food made up for it.
I found this restaurant on the open table app. I was used to what Earl's had as we are from Saskatchewan. This restaurant was similar with nice decor, trendy and upbeat with enthusiastic waiters and waitresses, and lets not forget about the food- quite tasty and plentiful. If there was one area to improve upon it would be - time. When we arrived, we were seated and then waited quite awhile before drinks were served and the order was taken. Lastly, the food took awhile to cook, like quite awhile, more than usual- over 1 hr. It was busy that night and I think they were short on cooks perhaps so orders got backed up; but, if you have time, Earl's was a good place to dine.
It was enjoyable until I found hair in the spinach dip upon the waitress collecting our plates. Maybe I played off the situation too casual but the waitress showed no remorse or offered any kind of compensation. Will not be returning. Also I have nothing against people sitting in the patio, but maybe the door that goes outside should be closed so bees don't invade the inside of the restaurant like they did.
We got there around 5:30, and service was ok. Drinks were refilled promptly.
Ordered the fish tacos which were excellent. My boyfriend ordered the cajun steak medium rare, but it was mostly medium well. I ordered the cabernet jus steak rare, and it was great. Mashed potatoes were very good. Veggies for both dishes were green beans which were very crunchy, they may as well be raw. We didn't eat them.
Just after we finished our meal, our server forgot about us. Granted, it got busy, but it probably too about 15 minutes after we requested the bill for it to show up. And then another 10 minutes for our server to notice the credit card and show up with the machine.
Not sure if we'll return to this Earls.
At first we were very dissapointed with the server, she did not know anything about specials, told us there was no happy hour on Saturdays and seemed like it was her first day out of training. We were looking through the array of menu's on the table and found one specifically for 'Happy Hour', and another that had a few other 'specials' that were available. We challenged her about it, her response was that she was sorry, she never works Saturdays and did not know! After we ordered our specially priced drinks and food, our order was not right, it was taken away, and the correct order was brought, but by the time it came, the other 3 members of our party were nearly finished their meal. Thank goodness for Sara!!! She came to the table to not only apologize, but she made a mediocre gathering a pleasant experience. She is a wonderful employee with outstanding customer service skills, Earl's is very fortunate to have her in their family!! We will be back, thanks to her!!
The location was convenient to meet at for a business lunch but it was a bit too noisy for business conversations. The service was very good. The food was OK, though I have had much better fish tacos in a number of other similar style restaurants. These were basically a piece of deep fried fish with plain cabbage wrapped in a taco. Needed more ingredients and flavors and less grease. My friend ordered a full rack of ribs but they only cooked a half rack initially, then brought out the second half very quickly. He seemed to enjoy them and ate them all.
We were a group of 10 and were placed in the lounge where the music was so loud that we couldn't really hear ourselves across the table. The service was so bad that we had to ask to order food and drinks. The waitress was nice but seemed to be focused on other tables (just as big) instead of ours. Overall, everyones' food was food but my Steak Frites was awful. Tiny bit of steak and a mountain of fries. Things were missing off the plate. Even though there were plenty of staff, they didn't appear to be doing a lot. Don't think I would come back on a Friday night!
We've been to this location before, it's a nice place and the food is good. It's a little loud but a good atmosphere. On this visit the service was a bit slow in the beginning, the hostess came around and noticed we hadn't been given water after about 15 minutes of being seated. Otherwise we had a delicious meal.
