Earls Kitchen + Bar - Bridge Park - Burnaby
Daughter has been getting A’s
I would define the volume as too loud, not energetic.
Your old tofu tacos were way better than the beyond meat ones. The "meat" is rubbery.
service was very good food excellent but very noisey one more thing my bacon was burntbut did not say anything to make a fuss
Great restaurant, but when it gets busy, it becomes so noisy that it is extremely hard to hear anyone speak!
Having worked at an Earls many years ago, I have frequented many different locations over the years and not all are created equal. For example, we visited the Banff location this summer and the service was SO friendly and welcoming. This Burnaby location is anything but. I've always felt like we're somehow inconveniencing all the workers there simply by being in the restaurant: like we're being tolerated (we are grown adult professional with 2 kids, who are young but not little and are certainly not an issue as it relates to the serving staff). I won't be back. There are too many good dining options in Vancouver and surrounding areas to waste another evening (and $100+ dollars) at this place.
The food was very good; the waitress was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was freezing!!! Why is the air conditioning on when it's 15 degrees outside! The bar area was warmer, but music was too loud for my 90-yr old mother. We had to eat with coats and scarves on.
Haven't been to Earl's in a while and probably won't be going back now!
The menu: nothing new or exciting, typical applies, tacos, burgers, steaks and bowl dinners. I had the beef short rib tagliatelle with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes with a copious amount of chili peppers sprinkled on top, so much so that I wasn't able to eat it. After pointing this out to my server she had it remade, it looked fine until after the second mouth full and I was literally on fire (I have an autoimmune disease that leaves me with dry mouth) Found our server and explained that the chili's were now mixed thru out the dish. After speaking to the kitchen she told me that the red specks I picked out were not chili flakes but sun dried tomatoes (I actually know the difference, they were chili's) she also told me it is their spiciest pasta!? She offered to replace that entree and returned with a dry AF fettuccine Alfredo with over done grilled chicken. At this point I gave up, my dinner companions were done their less than enticing dinners and just wanted to leave. I had it boxed up and we left without any further concerns from the restaurant. I'm really disappointed in my experience last night, for a chain as large as Earls the outcome should have been much better (No, my meal was not comp'd!!)
Consistent quality and value
They erred on my wife’s order twice but to their credit they gave us a $25.00 gift card and took the cost of our bill
I have celiac disease. Finding a restaurant that has a clear understanding of the impact of food that is cross-contaminated with gluten is a challenge. Earls Bridge Park gets it. Not all Earls locations do, unfortunately. I've ordered the Beyond Burger on two separate occasions. Delicious eat time, and no painful reaction.
Once again we went to Earls for our anniversary, we indicated this was what we were celebrating on the reservation when asked and also when the restaurant called to confirm. Morgan our very nice and efficient server did a wonderful job serving us. When we were leaving, we asked her why we were asked what the occasion was (twice) before arriving and we informed it was our anniversary. Morgan was quite taken aback and very apologetic that she did not know. What is the point of asking the purpose of our visit if our server is not informed. This is the second time this has happened at Earls. Morgan did very kindly present us with a gift certificate and apologized again. We really enjoy the food (warm potato salad keeps bringing us back) but found it very loud in the restaurant, not easy to have a conversation. Thanks again to Morgan for taking excellent care of us.
The restaurant has fairly high ambient noise levels. I don't know if its due to ceiling height or closeness of the tables. The food was just average, nothing special. A few of us ordered the ribs, tacos and poke. We saw the waitress 3 times over a hour period and the restaurant was not busy. She took our order, we had to call her back to remind her we had asked for water along with the drinks we had ordered. She gave us the bill. All food was delivered by the staff. Actually one of the poorest services we had experienced in a long time. Wouldn't go back to this location.
My friend flew in to town and it was her birthday. I was so lucky to get a table and it was a great experience. With exception of the very loud group in the dining area, our server ensured that we were taken care of. The dessert wasn’t as I expected and my kids were a little disappointed that the cherries were sold out. Lol. Aside from that, I would definitely come back and enjoy a meal with my family.
I really appreciate that our server was very friendly and attentive!
We had an amazing time at Earls Kitchen + Bar - Bridge Park in Burnaby. Our food was extremely tasty and presentable. Everybody was very kind and professional, especially our server Katarina. Her great personality, beautiful smile and impeccable service are the prime example of the excellent customer service.
Thank you to the whole team who gave us an opportunity to enjoy our dinner while dinning at your Earls.
Server was friendly and attentive. My friend and I ordered the Hunan Kung Pao, tasted like it had been cooked earlier and warmed in the microwave. Vegetables were not fresh, carrots were limp and brown, and the meal went cold after a few minutes, we asked the server to re-heat. Wouldn’t be back.
My early birthday celebration
We went there for a birthday dinner. Initially a group of 6, three other friends decided to join after and they were so nice to accommodate us right away. Food was great. I also like how quiet it was that we didn't have to yell over the table. Definitely will come back again.
We were seated accordingly and proper amount of time something like 5 minutes. We were Seated on a patio in the corner for the table was totally uneven and way too high for the bench seats. Service was okay I'll be at nothing to write home about. I have noticed other servers half-assing cleaning the other tables with a few quick sprays and using an Old Rag. Wiping only a couple times in the table is still very wet while laying down napkins and utensils for the next customer.
I tried the baked cauliflower and chicken salad on the “Test Menu” and give it a thumbs down. I usually eat the Santa Fe salad on the Earls menu which is a definite winner.
The food was really small for the price that it was being charge for.
Was very quiet in dining room. Usually noisy but restaurant was not busy on long weekend.
can't beat the value of the brunch til 12 p.m. about six different choices of breakfast type meals i.e. eggs/benny, country style etc.
I stopped going to Earls a while ago because, regardless of what I ordered (all gluten wise), I still had a nasty reaction that lasted for several days because of cross-contamination. Yesterday, I decided to give Earls another chance. I met a friend for lunch and ordered the 'beyond meat' burger on a gluten free bun with fries cooked in a dedicated fryer. That was the first time I have eaten a meal at an Earls Restaurant and not had a full-on celiac attack! I should add that I was at the location on Lougheed, near Gilmore, in Burnaby. Can't speak for the other outlets. Well done, Earls on Lougheed!
Such a great experience front to back. Booking the table online was simple. I called the next day to check if our small dog Jellybean would be allowed to join us on the patio, and was told it would not be a problem. Our table was ready on time, the food was fantastic and our server Jamie was amazing - personable and professional. Thanks Earl's Bridge Park for a great night out.
Very good service! Was lucky to get patio seating!
We came in for happy hour brunch! Our server was amazing. The restaurant seemed disorganized and were not prepared for the father’s day rush. We arrived early to get to our reso and waited 15 minutes. After we ordered our drinks and food. The drinks didn’t come for 15 minutes and then we waited close to an hour for the food to arrive. When the food came, two of the three entrees arrived and everything was cold. The last entree arrived approximately 15 minutes later. We let our sever know and she Immediately got us a new plate for the chorizo sausage and eggs Benedict and later took care of the food portion of the bill. even the second time around it was not really warm either. The server was amazing the food was not as good as I would have liked it. If you are looking for a brunch spot, skip earls and go somewhere that actually specializes in brunch spots!
All in all, very good. We’ll be back. Enjoyed the Beyond Burger and other vegan options. Great to see.
Meal was ok but the service was slow and the restaurant itself felt very dated and not kept up.
We had an amazing evening! Ali was awesome with accommodating our Open Table reservation. Once we were seated, Cristine was very attentive, and considerate with our dinner and drinks. Her suggestions were fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food.
Nikki was a great server, she answered all our questions and gave great suggestions for drinks. She also made sure to check on any potential allergies, especially for one person who is gluten free.
Food was subpar and portions were tiny! Not worth what we paid. The dining room is SO loud. We had to semi-yell in order to hear each other. It was a Thursday night so it wasn’t busy but the servers still took so long to bring our food, refill our drinks, and then bring our bill. Overall a bad experience and would never come back.
Portions have significantly been reduced, the Santa Fe chicken salad was much smaller than what it usually is.
We were glad to have made reservations for this busy Sunday evening, and were delighted to have a table on the patio. The service was excellent. Some people wanted to share their entrees, and Earl's staff efficiently and effortlessly complied. The rice bowls were excellent. It was a pleasant dining experience.
Great food, service and atmosphere
Would not recommend the brunch. If the special brunch for $9.75 is comprimise in size because of the price I rather have it at yolk or jam cafe. Those r the tinest pc of chicken and not even a full size waffle. Three tiny pc of waffle. And most of the chicken are just chicken skin. No wonder by 12pm on a Sunday your restaurant is half empty. Meanwhile my son is haven't brunch with his friend at Yolk at the same time there were 40 people lining up outside waiting to go in for brunch. People don't mind to pay a few dollar more, but the food has to be good. I was still hungry after I had my brunch.
I wish you would add more items to your menu that are basics, not for advanced palates. Different or more desserts. It was my birthday, but nothing appealed. .
The food was excellent and fabulous price! Nice place.
Service was above and beyond... food was served hot and all was delicious
Thanks to all
