   They should be ashamed of themselves for charging it administrative fee. I’ve eaten that thousands of restaurants in my life and never have I seen somebody try to slip that onto a bill. The waitress is the one that deserves any extra money not the restaurant itself raise your prices somewhere else, but don’t put it down as an administrative fee stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Waitress was great but overworked and was given too many tables I could tell and everyone can tell. Maybe you should take that administrative fee and higher managers that can delegate properly the amount of table somebody should be able to handle. And the price for a Manhattan versus an old-fashioned was crazy. There’s no difference between the drinks except for vermouth. Bottom line food was great. Our waitress was great atmosphere was great. Music was too loud in the bar. Shouldn’t have an administrative fee and should look at the prices of mixed drinks, especially the most popular mixed drinks an old-fashioned and a Manhattan.  The old-fashioned price was reasonable but the Manhattan was outrageous. I spent less at a Ritz Carlton.

   We went for my son's graduation dinner. We arrived for our reservation early so we sat at the bar and had a drink and appetizer. The atmosphere was fun and friendly and the staff was great. Our table was ready right on time. The server was very attentive. Our meals were delicious (a couple burgers and a pasta dish). At the end we were surprised with complementary deserts for the graduate. That was a great touch. Very enjoyable experience.

   Our server Ben was excellent . Food was ok but chips served with tacos were not crispy. Terrace dining was a nice option but it was pouring rain outside and even though place was covered water was dripping on the sides and place was chilly because parts of tent was open. Earls has a good vibe going.

   I want to be fair and get a few things out of the way: we were at Earls last night (May 8) and here in Boston, we are in the full swing of graduation season. What this means for Earls and a lot of other restaurants in the area is that the restaurant was packed. All of the servers, including ours, were very busy. Also, the food and drinks were good to very good. I ordered the peach cocktail (can't remember its precise name) and a glass of Sangiovese, both excellent; for an app, we ordered the charred corn and avocado dip (a.k.a. guacamole); for entrees I ordered the salmon (good) and my husband ordered the tuna poke bowl (very good). We also really love the atmosphere there -- it's a little loud, but not the loudest restaurant by any means, and it's got a lot of energy. The booth we were sat in was terrific, a kind of rounded blue couch thingy that feels really fancy. By all measures, this should have been a fantastic evening, but one thing, the poor service, prevented it from being good, and in fact, we left feeling quite bad. I arrived early, my husband around 20 minutes later. I think I waited around 15 minutes for our server to greet me and take my drink order. Yes, they were very busy, but I didn't even get a, "I'll be with you in a few minutes, I'm really sorry it's taking so long." It took another 10 or so minutes to get the drink. By then, my husband had arrived and we put in our orders for the app and entrees; a few minutes later, I asked for the glass of wine. And then we waited....and waited....and waited, until finally, our server arrived with the app and entrees, all at once, and said, "I hope it's ok that these all came out at once," which, actually, isn't ok. And there was no sign of my wine. We were around a quarter of the way through the app and entree before the that drink showed up. The meal was $150 with tip. For that, I expect better service. It was a special night, but ended up feeling not special at all.

   My favorite place to be on my Birthday definitely had a great time the food it’s always great

   We had to wait for our table. They offered a high top which is a challenge for me. They did change it when requested. Server was good, food was OK but hardly anything to write home about.

   First time for a client lunch there and an overall amazing experience!! Food, service, ambiance were all outstanding. Now a must visit for me each time I’m in Boston!!

   We celebrated a graduation event with several family members from out of town. We checked in for our reservation and stood near the upstairs hostess area while waiting for our table to be turned over. Having come from a morning of event ceremonies, we were rather hungry and were browsing the menu as we waited with the plan to order some apps as soon as we were seated. The hostess staff overheard us mention being hungry, and the restaurant manager coordinated taking our order for a few apps so that the kitchen could get a head start. The apps then arrived very soon after we were seated. This was such an above-and-beyond gesture of attentiveness that we greatly appreciated. The rest of the visit was just as top-notch, including the meal quality and care from our server, Jenelle. She was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and provided helpful menu recs when asked by members of our group. The outdoor patio space is covered and heated, so we couldn’t even tell that it was cold and rainy when sitting out there. Would definitely recommend Earl’s, especially the Prudential Center location, for any occasion.

    Loved it! With 5 people it’s hard to please everyone, but their menu knocked it out of the park, and everyone left happy and full.
