   Unfortunately I had a poor experience. Most notably the food I was served (steak and salmon pressed sushi) was contaminated and gave me food poinoning the next day. Only item I ate that day. Further, when I arrived I ordered water for my baby which was forgotten twice. Then I barley saw the server who was entertaining a large table she knew on personal level and was sitting down with them st times to chat which would have been fine would she have been more attentive to others. Then I ordered a to go fettuccine with chicken and garlic toast but the toast never came. I had to remind the server twice then she vanished and I eventually went to the kitchen to pick it up myself at the kitchen after I paid I understand Everyone can have an off day but this was not the service we usually experience at Earls 16

   Excellent service in a polite friendly atmosphere, would definitely recommend this location for a casual lunch.

   Had a reservation for 8:15, didn’t get seated until 8:45! Meanwhile others that didn’t have a reso, were seated before us. Understandably they were very busy but what’s the point in a reservation if others get service before you. Then once seated, told food would be at least 45 min due to the kitchen being backed up. At this point we only had 45 min before we had to leave for a show. So we ordered fries and a couple of drinks, the fries came right away and clearly were sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. They were hard and over cooked. Inquired about our drinks and was told the bar is backed up and the drinks should come soon. Finally asked for the bill (for fries) and the drinks showed up. Literally had to down the drinks and leave. I get they were busy but had we been told this at the door we would’ve left and gone somewhere else. We left hungry and very annoyed.

   The noise level is unbearable. We had to shout to each other the whole time. Desperately need soundproofing like a lot of the Earl’ chain. Wont be back for this reason. Sad because the service and food were great!

   Chef yells so loud at his team in Kitchen it ruined our meal. And when asked to keep it down by the Manager he swore at her and said he had more important things to worry about than the customers.

   Had to flag down a waiter to order. He said not our waiter but took the food order. Our waiter came and told us 2 min late for happy hour - even though he took so long to come to our table. We paid bill using gift certificates. It took waiter over 20 min to do this. Then he forgot which certificate had a remaining balance. That took more time. When we left, I spoke to the hostess about our poor experience. She replied with have a fun time at the opera. We were going to the opera that evening and now we’re running late. She couldn’t have cared less about our poor service.

    Very nice lunch with friends. Servers were great and super friendly and professional. Very enjoyable tuna poke bowl. Would highly recommend.
