1879 rustic place! I loved it here, because it's not your everyday place. Away from the hustle it was evident in the result: great tasting food! The French Onion Soup and Chicken Ceaser Salad were PERFECT you've earned my 5 ☆'s.
The ambience was wonderful. Our waitress was Linda. She was outstanding. Thanks for the night out.
Sat on the deck with lovely Mountain View.. Great service and food!
Great service. Very quiet.
Food is great, staff is so welcoming and the ambiance is second to none. We always make an effort to stop in once when we are in the area.
Great atmosphere with very good food. Beautiful old school hotel and dining rooms.
They squeezed us in at the last minute and we were thankful. The dining room is a bit dated but cozy. The food was excellent. We had filet and scallops which were both fabulous. The chicken pot pie and Salmon both also very good. The homemade blue cheese dress was delicious as well. Prices were very reasonable. Overall pleasantly surprised how good the food was for a small place. Would definitely go back.
Off the beaten path and totally worth it. Great food, great service, even had a fire pit going behind the hotel that made for a great night with the kids.
The special Valentine’s Day menu was delicious and a great value at $55 per couple! We wished, however, that there had been more of a choice of desserts. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the Beef Wellington, shrimp tempura and potato leek soup. The reservation process was easy and we did not have to wait long for our table, even though it was a very busy holiday night. The service was exceptional as well. We would definitely return to Eagle Landing again!
I had the beef Wellington and my steak and dough was not cooked. I will never complain and ask for new dish, but I would like to let you know next time to please make sure thoroughly cooked. Thanks
The steak what GREAT! Wonderful service! I highly recommend if you are in the area.
Service Terrible ! All 4 prefix courses were COLD and food is terrible! Worst dining experience I have ever had. The place is dated but still charges $65 a person for New Years Eve prefix meal that is mass produced.
Our server was superb!
Our 2nd time here on Christmas Eve. Good food & service. We did have to remind the server of our drink order though.
The food was delicious and the service was great! We would like to come back when it’s light outside so we can see the view.
Staff was super friendly and attentive. Location is beautiful especially when decorated for Christmas. Food was really good especially the maple bread pudding for dessert
Food was excellent but a bit pricey - ambiance and staff very attentive and friendly. We have been there many times and it doesn’t disappoint.
I would return to
I would gladly return to Eagle Landing in the future. The entire experience was very positive.
The variety of food and the quality of the food in the buffet was very good. In the area of identifying gluten free and dairy free choices, they did a fine job. They really fell short in accommodating people with nut allergies. Nuts were not identified by signage; you just had to be careful. There was no salad option sans nuts and all of the salmon served had nuts on the topping. The bar also fell short this year. The "special" holiday drinks in our party tasted more strongly of the alcohol (bourbon, vodka) than any mixings. We could have ordered shots and gotten the same effect. This is our third year at Eagle Mountain House for Thanksgiving and the first time we've had anything negative to say. Hopefully somebody is listening.
Eagle Mountain house made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner event. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Nice views from the dining Room as well accented the Event. The quality of the food was very good and well prepared. Price point was As expected for a Thanksgiving buffet. Thanks again to the staff for a great event with family.
The view cannot be beat. Service was outstanding even though there was a large wedding taking place outside under the tent. The food was delicious. I'd recommend the Eagle Landing to anyone visiting MWV.
Sat at a table on the veranda overlooking beautiful grounds, food was excellent. Our server Nicole was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. She made the whole experience wonderful, hope to return soon.
Food was tasty and perfectly sized
Atmosphere was wonderful, very warm and comfortable.
Wonderful atmosphere on the veranda. Great waitress. All in all perfect evening
Absolutely delicious scallop dish, unlike anything I have had. I would be happy to try everything on the menu!
It was okay for the price. The food was average. The waitstaff was excellent and very friendly. The view is lovely.
Absolutely amazing! Came with a group of 6 and we all loved it! No complaints!
Family get together for Storyland weekend. Nicole our server was fabulous! Thank you for a great evening!
The food and atmosphere was excellent and the service was "very good". I hesitate to give it more than that because although our waitress was very nice and perky, she "over-attended" the table a bit, checking too often to see how we were doing, etc. I know this is a fine line but when 6 people are dining together they like to be able to converse freely and not be interrupted multiple times to be asked how they are doing. This is not a complaint--it is more of an observance and suggestion that you bring this to your wait staff's attention. All my seat mates thoroughly enjoyed their meals! Thank you.
p.s. We had no problem with the fact that she was training someone, except that the trainee was also coming back to our table to ask "how are you doing"?
Being a sunday nite, the hotel was offering 20percent off to locals. This included people staying at the hotel which we were doing. I had to ask the server at the end for the discount, and she was rather short with us but did end up adjusting the bill when asked. Disappointed that she did not ask before presenting the bill and her reaction to my request was not very friendly. Otherwise a very good meal!
Stayed at the resort while on vacation (off-season). We were the only 2 guests and felt the friendly service/conversation was excellent! The fillet was done to perfection and the pot pie was pure comfort food. We had the Johnny cakes as an appetizer. They were so yummy! Took the apple blossom dessert back to our room to eat later. It was a delicious treat!
Quaint inn but needs updating in the restaurant and public areas. Room was updated and bedding was nice and new mattress/pillows were comfortable. It was clean. Bathroom tub could use some updating. Seemed short-staffed in the restaurant/bar area. Need separation between the restaurant and main lobby. Lobby was very noisy and opens right into the restaurant. Restaurant/bar tables are old and marked up. They should either replace them or cover them with table cloths to make it nicer looking in there and not so dated looking. Should capture the historic nature of the building while keeping it refreshed.
We enjoyed the casual atmosphere in the Pub on Valentine's Day. The lamb shank with potatoes and broccoli rabe was hearty just as stated in the menu, and very nice with the wine Brian recommended. My friend's cheeseburger was cooked rare just as she wanted it, and a salad was offered instead of the bun.
Food quality and quantity was very good. The service was also very good. I wished they had spaced out the serving of the appetizers, salad and entree better. They came out one right after the other which was much to quick. In the future I will not place my entire order all at once. I will place each order individually.
I remember having a couple of excellent meals a few years ago while staying at Eagle Landing. The menu has become less diversified since then, and whether the duck I ordered, or my daughter's filet mignon, both arrived with a dressing of some unidentifiable green slime and kale. For the first time in my life, I had to send back a dish because the duck was raw in spots and barely warm. The waitress was lovely and it arrived back several minutes later, cooked to perfection.
We had an overall great experience from food to service. The prime rib and scallop dinner were excellent and cooked perfectly. My husband and I both started with the French onion soup and we ate every last drop!We will be back!
Food was horrible and cold very over priced . No need for reservations nobody was there that should have told me something .
Lamb shank delicious despite presentation with piled meat on top of broccoli rabe and potatoes so no rab was even visible. My friend had turkey special which was dry and tasteless. Only the broccoli rab was good.
Maybe it was an off day so close to after New Years and turkey meal was leftovers?
Food was seasoned well. Server attentive. Sometimes places have an off night.
Kid friendly, great ambiance, historic gem. The service was mediocre though...server seemed overwhelmed.
