   Wow the Eagle and Child have upped their game, that was an amazing roast dinner. The new chefs are doing a great job. The kid’s pizzas were homemade as well. Everything tasted amazing! We will be back! At last a local pub who can actually cook decent home cooked food!

   On arrival shown quickly to our table and drinks order taken. Given the menu starters choice very poor, chose the ribs presentation really poor and next to no meat on the bone. Chose the roast beef for my roast, 3 extremely thin slices didn’t have any taste to it. Vegetable and potatoes cold.. In my opinion the Sunday roast experience in this establishment has deteriorated. Would I go back a definite No. Value for money poor.!!

   Booked for husband's birthday, but restaurant was very busy as it was also Mothers Day. Despite a couple of hiccups, the food was delicious and value for money. Staff were friendly and the service was good. Will definitely go back again

   Usually great here but today, Mothers day was very disappointing. 2 of our table had finished eating their roast dinner whilst another 2 were still waiting on theirs - around 20 minutes from bringing the first meal to the last meal out. Then I waited for gravy as mine only had a tiny drizzle, so we asked for more, asked 5 times over 15 minutes, by the time it came my dinner was mostly cold. Didn't take a drinks order until we had been there 45 mins. Food was tasty but service was poor today. Ordered 2 sides of cauliflower cheese, came with one cauli and one was mash potato which we didn't ask for ( at this point we couldn't be bothered to ask them to rectify!)

   Food was okay and the staff were lovely. I was disappointed that as a greene king pub they did not accept the blue light card as advertised.

   Food was cold on starter and main meal Waited 15 minutes for drinks including asking again Waitress was clearly not interested Children’s meal arrived later after again asking for it

   Small touches missing today. On previous visits we have been offered water for the table, not today, also no coffee or tea available and butter missing from the cheese platter. Food good but small touches matter

    Booked specifically for the Sunday roast & wow it was amazing! Great value for money with every component being very well made & tasty. Will definitely be recommending!
