Friendly staff. Delicious food. Covid 19 precautions taken
Food was fresh and tasty. Service was excellent.
Food underwhelming in flavor. Did not live up to my expectation based on reading of the menu.
I like this place; it hits the important points for a good night out. First off: consistency. The food menus is solid and the cocktail menus is always changing with great tasting cocktails. Prices are right and service is typically warm, professional and accommodating. The crowd here is often dates and people grabbing dinner/drinks with coworkers. This consistency explains why they have been open for 22 years and I return every 6 months or so.
Always a go to for us. Consistently good food and service.
Highly recommend
Such great food! Love this place.
Good food off the happy hour menu, very small portions but tasty. Dumpling sauce was very good, more delicious than the dumplings themselves!
Food and service were good. Better than I remembered from years ago. My biggest complaint was the enormous and uncomfortable chairs that did not fit under the table we were at. Not being well seated , more like sinking into an oversized chair for the height of the table made my meal less enjoyable.
This is our go to restaurant when we are going to the theater Love it!
Most of our food was really tasty. The corn fritters, Asian Caesar salad and Shaking beef, were favorites. Chicken lettuce cups and a cheesy pita thing, were more blah. Our server was wonderful! They were extremely busy, which is normal, so you need to forgive the servers for not stopping by right when you need them to. Just enjoy your company, and relax. Cocktails were expensive but very good
They sat us in the worst possible table in the restaurant, right next to the grill area so the blowers from that area blew on us the entire time and the lights from the grill/ kitchen were bright which made it hard to look at people sitting at the end of the table. Horrible area to have a table in a restaurant. Disappointed
The lunch was wonderful and everything was perfect. Will definitely come again
The food was quite disappointing. I have been here some years ago and everything was fine. Meat (NY strip and shaking beef) were dry and almost had no flavor. The appetizers were OK and the desert as well. Service was very good and responsive. The place is clean and has a nice oriental ambiance. Seating is not too comfortable because of the lounge type of chairs which are not ideal for dining tables
Everything was delicious!
Creative dishes, small plates available, and entrees --nice for before theater or a downtown show.
The poached prawn salad was delightful! I loved the loquats with the citrus and lime. We shared a dessert of a small cake made with rice flour (gluten-free) with coconut chips, passion fruit cream and lightly charred pineapple. It was perfect. Really great iced tea. Wait staff was attentive. New look (had not been there in years) was spacious.
Amazing every time there!! Everyone in our group of 7 loved it. The deviled eggs are the best I’ve had in SF.
I forgot my receipt and they emailed it to me that night. Service was fantastic.
Great place foe business lunch. Fast, good food.
We have been coming here for decades. Great food and drinks but a little noisy. Loved the surprise lion dancers, better than the Chinese New Year Parade!
Quite loud and too close to other diners but the food was great and lots of it
Good pan Asian food. Reasonable value. Efficient, friendly service. Recommended.
I am torn, food or service...both were amazing. So satisfied. Loved it
Just average food plus they rushed us through dinner. Received appetizer before drinks even came. Entrees arrived before appetizer half finished. Very disappointing.
The food here is always excellent. The problem is the first time I ate here I found things I loved and I always get the same thing. Maybe I’ll branch out next time.I love the butternut squash dumplings, the dry fried green beans, and the brussels sprouts.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. The place was very very crowded and that hurt the service efficiency a little bit but their attitudes were wonderful.
Very busy but amazingly efficient. Nice clean attractive restaurant and the food and service was amazing. Would highly recommend.
Nice meal for 4 friends. We ordered from the excellent happy hour menu and enjoyed our dinners.
Great service, nice food
We ordered it two separate dishes when was the Chinese chicken salad and the other was the tuna to talkie with rice. The chicken salad was delicious. The tuner was not high-quality and had a funny smell so we didn’t need it
I planned a company dinner here specifically for the restaurant week menu. Much to our dismay, we arrived, were seated, and upon asking to see the restaurant week menu, were told that the “ingredients didn’t arrive in time so they weren’t offering it that night.” This was very annoying and there was no remediation for their not offering what we specifically showed up for. Additionally, someone called that afternoon to confirm the reservation and it was not mentioned at all, so this issue could have easily been avoided with a bit of forethought. Overall, extremely underwhelmed and we ended up spending ~2.5x what we would have if they were offering the menu they were supposed to offer that night.
We had a reservation January 22nd which was the first day of Restaurant Week. When we were seated and tried to order the RW menu, they said it was not available due to shipping issues. We were disappointed as we were not notified beforehand and went there specifically for the wagyu beef.
The manager tried to piece together a menu for us for $40 which was very underwhelming. The food was not good and the quality was not what we'd expect for what we paid. Examples below:
- Mushroom dumplings were what you'd expect at Trader Joes, pretty standard
- The "Bap" which is their bibimbap was not served in a stone pot, the rice was inside this weird fried tempura block, and the vegetables were "slaw" style. I understand that its fusion but this did not taste good
- The Beef dish was too salty
- the duck buns tasted like "sliders" as in we thought it'd be more like peking duck but it tasted more like shredded duck (which does not go well with the buns)
As a result, we did not end up ordering dessert since we were so disappointed with our meal. I was so disappointed because I made this reservation in advance and my date and I were really really looking forward to this and I traveled all the way from Sunnyvale to come here. :(
It pains me to leave this review because the service was good but the food was simply not good.
E&O is a sure bet. From the food to the service they never disappoint.
Food was delicious. Lychee martini was just ok
It was very good other than the waitress never cracked a smile. The staff was efficient but not too welcoming.
This is a great restaurant, with nice decor, excellent service, and delicious food. The Famous Corn Fritters and the Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) were delicious, as were the spare ribs.
Talkative, helpful bartender; friendly, well-informed server.
The $35 lunch minimum announced at arrival was a surprise.
I've been here before but not for awhile! It was the first time dining there for my other colleagues. Our waiter was extremely patient, especially since we didn't learn until 35 minutes after our reservation time that one of our colleagues was really late and would only be "stopping by." Everyone enjoyed the experience a lot, thank you!
A great restaurant in Union Square area that is open early for dinner. We were seated in the back, which is a bit quieter during happy hour. The dishes we had were tasty and the portions were plentiful. Our waitress was attentive and knew what we needed before we did, which made for a great experience.
None of the abo
Tim was GREAT waiter!
