Tim was great! Superb recommendations.
So good! I’m still dreaming about the mushroom dumplings.
Delicious and creatively prepared Asian foods. We loved everything we had here, but the duck buns especially are worth the trip.
Absolutely loved it! Our host Miguel was fantastic!!!
Love the Asian Fusion flavors. Great selection on the menu. Excellent to share and sample many nice dishes.
Excellent service. My coworker is picky with food and the restaurant was able to accommodate and go above and beyond. The appetizers were great (edamame & tuna tartare) and would recommend you try them. They carry prisoner wine, so we grabbed a bottle as well. Great experience and great food.
Always Love E&O
It was a great meal
Sliders are gone and food in general was bad...don’t know what has happened. I was there on Friday the 13th, and everything has changed for the worse!
Overall everything was excellent. I do think they need to serve little more food in their price point
The food is so delicious! The main problem in this environment are those spot lights on top of customer’s heads. Sometime straight in the eye:( very uncomfortable and not pleasant. It really took away from my enjoyment.
Extremely disappointed. Flavors were either flat or weird. We shared 6 or 7 small plates.
Ahi was best of all, fried rice was just ok, but the shrimp in it was definitely frozen and didnt look like gulf shrimp ( pretty small).
Crab rangoons were borderline terrible. dipping sauce was very odd, couldnt fugure out what it was and it was. Goat cheese was missing from the crab mixture and the dough wrappers were too thick and greasy.
Lamb naan - not enough spice. Boring. Could have used a spicy hot chutney.
Crispy spring rolls - greasy & flavorless.
The types of dishes on the menu should include sauces that are fresh, vibrant and they could definately use hot peppers in a number of them to make more interesting.
We will not be returning.
Excellent Asian cuisine with many delicious dishes including calamari, pea and tofu dumplings and a shaking beef made with filet.
Great happy hour! Service was quick and friendly
The best Asian you can have in San Francisco
You’ll be greeted by a cozy dark coloured ambience which is calm and soothing
We ordered a Satay Platter which was excellent and served with authentic sauces
Mushroom dumplings were so good we ordered it twice
You’ll want more of Chow mein noodles any day
The Almond Pie Dessert and Vanilla Mouse are great desserts
Nice asian fusion dining. Wait staff was very helpful and quick.
Probably ratable at 3.5 stars were half stars an option. The lounge setting is really cute and well maintained and appointed. The service is lackluster - not unfriendly but not attentive or enthusiastic. The food was likewise a mixed bag. We had actually been to the Asian Art Museum earlier in the day (go, it's wonderful) and so the Jaded Buddha was cutesy, and a clever cocktail. The duck buns were very good. The paneer naan was disappointing, it had minimal flavor and the sauces did not help. The satay was decent but unremarkable. The pork chop was very good (minor critique, it has Kim chi style pickled peach, this was great but the peaches were too ripe for this), excellent grilling and very flavorful. We did not stay for dessert, we crossed Chinatown to get ice cream sandwiches and were glad we did so. E&O is overall "pas mal," probably not worth a return visit.
With a garlic allergy, selections were reduced by 2/3 of the menu.
This restaurant is very impressive. The food's presentation is as good as its taste. There is also an extensive cocktail menu with many options. All in all E & O makes for a wonderful evening out.
Wonderful spot for lunch while shopping at union square. Very tastey food and great atmoshere.
Service was slightly aggressive in pushing drinks with our party of 4. Drinks from the bar were well prepared and consistently delicious. My entree was excellent and my business guest enjoyed their meals as well.
Went here on a recommendation. The food was great and the service was superb.
Just excellent. Food is very interesting, I so well prepared. Service was perfect.
We had a reservation, but the seating seemed more for the server’s convenience. (Lots of empty tables, but everyone seated close together, so it was noisy). Service was slow.
Dishes were creative, delicious and generous. Nice menu.
Great food, great service and ambience all round great meal
Good food, drinks, and service. A little noisy but tolerable
A sorry attempt at Asian fusion.
It’s seems that if you add hoisin sauce to a dish it makes it Chinese. For being located in a mecca for Asian cuisine this restaurant caters to those who think Chinese food is sweet and sour pork and a California roll is a legit sushi roll.
Very conveniently located near Union Square. If you're driving into SF, the Sutter Street garage is a few doors away. Have gone to lunch and dinner here often. Love the food! My favorite appetizer is the corn fritter.
Quality of food has deteriorated from last I ate there! Papaya salad too vinaigrette...
If you're in the Union Square area of SF, then this is not a terrible choice. But it's really just mediocre. The ambiance is ok, and the service is not bad, but the food was a definite ho hum, and overpriced. Doubt I'll do a repeat... but might be worth a try and you can decide yourself.
Even though my friends were not there yet, I was offered to be seated. Usually in SF restaurants it would be "take a seat at the bar" - not in this place. I also got a reminder email and a phone call in the morning. The food is great, though small-ish for the price. Did not like the noise.
Eight of us sat at the long rectangular window table. It was after our daughter's HS graduation from Drew. Anybody could order items and our waiter would inform us if there were too many duplicate items. They break it down to portion size with varying prices: small, medium, large. Seniors, 26 year olds, and 18 yrolds reported that everything was great. The Asian Fusion theme worked well for the gang. I had gone here once before after a Saturday opening at the Leica Gallery and found it cozy - a good place for a cocktail. My guess is that it a fun spot during the week, for socializing after 5p.
Everything was great
E&O is a great value for the price. The food and service was excellent. The only drawback is that while it’s a beautiful space, the noise level is challenging. Be prepared to have to raise your speaking voice several decibels in order to carry on a conversation... which the table next to you may join as seating is pretty tight.
Food was overpriced and overseasoned. Liked the ambiance but probably wouldn’t come back.
We had a great quite lunch on saturday during memorial weekend. Service was great and food tasty. Had the Katsu/Chicken sandwich and Corn style burger both were great. Plan to go back...
The unique food dishes were delicious! Loved the variations on more traditional Asian fare, very interesting! Clearly a very popular spot.
We had a bad experience at check in. When arriving at 8:11 we were told to have a seat and we would be sat closer to our reservation time which was 8:15. We didn’t end up getting sat until 8:25. It was more the way the hostess told us “we will seat you closer to your reservation time “ that seemed rude. If a table wasn’t ready I would have been more understanding to hear. It will be just a few mins we’re just waiting on a table. The “closer to your reservation time “ seemed very off putting.
Ambiance is dated
Service was understaffed
Hadn’t been here for a while but will be coming back soon. Went for an early dinner during happy hour. Good drink prices and a great opportunity to try a variety of small appetizers. The green bean side dish was delicious. Ribs and portobello mushroom satay are two favorites.
