Thanksgiving Dinner Special Menus & Offers
Thursday, November 22, 2018
Food is exceptionally well-prepared and delicious. Price points are a bit high otherwise this would be one of my go-to standards. Good location, just off Union Square.
Great food and menu. Love the satay and BBQ ribs! Service could be better.
Worst service I’ve had in a really long time.
The food was very good however, the service was not. The server seemed very disinterested and the service was slow and erratic. Despite the restaurant’s slow and inconsistent service, we were asked to leave the table before we were finished for another large party - quite rude frankly. I wondered what was happening when the servers kept trying to take our plates and drinks before we were finished. We were a part of 7 and spent about $350 but treated with disrespect. There are many other restaurants with excellent food so until
their service is improved, choose another.
We had a wonderful time with our excellent waiter..”Antonio”...despite the initial checking in with a reservation that was not in the restaurants system.I had to show the hostess my app on my phone...She was less than cordial....There were numerous seats. She implied that I was not being truthful.....😙
It was a late night, last minute pick and turned out to be a nice surprise. Nice decor, friendly attentie service and the food was great. Definitey a place to visit
Everything was great, except our waitress had a bit of an attitude with some of the members of our group. I understand if she was not happy with our request to split the bill, but if she really did not want to, she should not have said yes in the first place. I would’ve preferred a happy waitress rather than splitting the bill and having an unhappy or annoyed waitress.
We love dining at E&O when we come into SF. Staff make helpful recommendations and the food is always good.
Our hostess was amazing, our reservation ran late and to thank is for waiting she bought our first round of drinks. Great customer service! I didn't catch her name but it was Friday night 10.5.18. We ate light and the mushroom dumplings were outstanding. Skip the crab Rangoon ....other was tasteless and blah.
Our server came and asked for our drink order. Our beers never came until we asked the charming man who seats you to find out where they were. We had already had our food. Finally, they arrived. The food was excellent and loved the duck, corn fritters, pad Thai, Indonesian rice. We all agreed the pea shoot dumplings were a miss. Would never order again. Overall, our experience was fun and the complimentary birthday dessert was a hit.
A very enjoyable evening for our group of 6. The ability to share both small and large plates was great, especially with the good advice of our server. My wife and I visited 3 years ago and it’s quality is just as good.
Fourth time at E&O and they continue to be on point. Great food and even better service. Had their dessert for the first time. Portions blew me away!
I had the cod the first time I went last year and it was fantastic. This visit I had the Shaking beef and asked for it mild and it was so hot I couldn’t enjoy it. The appetizer was good but would order the fish again on the next visit.
Great food, nice folks. VERY loud. Not a place to go for a meeting
Great service and food.
The cod is delicious! Burgers were OK. Service is fine, took awhile to place our orders for lunch. Good location if you have business on Sutter. Not crowded, which is also nice.
Great food, trendy atmosphere. There is a full gluten free menu available if you ask for it. The services was great considering it was a busy week in the city!
Would 100% recommend booking this restaurant in advance, if you want to get a table and not have to eat at the bar. It seems to be the kind of place that’s popular with “office folk” so gets very lively after working hours. We had a nice meal but the noise level in the restaurant made it hard to have a meaningful conversation across the table.
Loved our experience at this vibrant spot! The crispy chicken spring rolls were INSANELY delicious. We also wanted to lick the plate of our side of artichoke hearts covered in steamed seaweed. The food seemed ahead of its time. Very good, and a fun time. The bill was a lot lower than we expected too, which was a huge win for the night!
We had a lovely time and food was very good. We thought the duck buns were dry and was not warm. It got a bit loud but overall had a nice experience
E & O was a pleasant restaurant. Though I wished portions were larger for the pricing, it certainly does not stray far from the median prices in that area of SF.
Good pan Asian offering with a creative menu. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and food enjoyed by all
Great service. Great downtown location. Food was "OK" nothing special.
The party enjoyed the variety of drink and food choices. The location was by the entrance and not so good. Service was good but because of the location it was hard to get the server's attention when needed.
Got there in time for Happy Hour so had the pu pu platter to start. All the elements were fine but no standouts. Next, had the prawn salad followed by the pad Thai. The prawn salad was the star of the evening with its bright flavors and balance between sweet and acid. Ambiance is much darker than the pictures would indicate.
Food was so-so, pricing was high. Not a lot of flavor. Group liked the fritters, cocktail special was pretty bad, like a green salad in a glass. Wait staff was great, had to wait a bit for water a few times.
Walked past it not realizing the greatness inside.
Pupu platter, mushroom dumplings, and coconut curry ceviche were amazing! Beautiful setting for a special occasion or casual dinner. I’d go back to explore menu further.
Excellent experience, service and obeisance. Corn Fritters are the best.
It was a great experience. I took some colleagues their for a business meal after a day of meetings. We were able to sit at the chef's bar and that made it a lot more entertaining.
Noisy for happy hour, there was an event upstairs adding to noise and less service, and corn fritters were not as good as usual.
Great restaurant. Food was exquisite... service was prompt and friendly
The Shitake mushroom dumplings were terrific... very savory... could have eaten several orders.
Entire group enjoyed their meals. Since it was a business lunch, we had various types of lemonades (ginger lemonade, Lychee nut Lemonade) that easily quenched our thirst.
Only downside to this visit was the table next to us ( out of the restaurants control). They were discussing a business plan, marketing plan and capital raising ideas. They shold realize when you discuss those ideas, you should use a low voice and not broadcast to the entire restaurant what you are doing. One of the two were very loud... and took away from our discussion.
We went for dinner here and it was very lovely. Nice setting and the waiters were only too happy to help!
Our dinner was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in town.
My husband and I was visiting San Francisco for the week from MI and we thought it was a great place to end our vacation. The food was good. The service was not good. She did make up for her lack of "service" with a free desert.
Really awful food, I don’t write negative reviews but the food was so awful. The hostesses were very accommodating we were 5 instead of 4 and on a busy Friday made room for us. The server was okay. Would not recommend and will not be back. There are far to many great restaurants in this city to wast money and time at a place like this.
E&O has gone downhill in the last few years. The appetizers (deviled eggs, chick pea fritters) were reasonably good. But the roasted artichokes were terrible -- inedible, because tough and stringy. The Sri Lankan curry chicken special was also stringy (overcooked), though its sauce was good. Cocktails were mediocre. The main course took 30 minutes to arrive after we were done with appetizers. We sent back the artichokes, but got charged for them anyway. Server brought us 'complimentary' ginger snap cookies to compensate, but that hardly did the trick (especially since they too were average). Not going back, alas.
Awesome food! Love this place!
Been there several times and I like it better each time! Great bar!
Keep up the good work and the great food!
Amazing overall date night. The atmosphere was cozy but vibrant. We sampled a wide variety of dishes but our favorites were the steak satay and the duck buns. Would highly recommend
Always enjoy your food and service. One of the best restaurants in San Francisco.
